Abstract

Yogyakarta, Indonesia is known for its kingdom government system for all its living history; since 8-10th century Mataram Hindu-Buddhist temples to the present Muslim Ngayogyokarto Hadiningrat. Those stretch of history resulted in many artefacts and chronicles. A cultural imaginary line that linking Merapi Volcano in the north and the Indian Ocean in the south through the Yogyakarta Palace in the middle has a sacral geo-cultural heritage, explaining a prosperity gentle volcanic town, a beautiful scheme of the open panoramic features with several temples standing on the plain and mountainous landscapes in between the rest of earthquakes and the volcanic eruptions. Many temples were partly buried under volcanic materials, and some others show evidence of being shaken several times by earthquakes. Boulders of volcanic materials varying in size and shapes are present in the plain of Yogyakarta, near Cangkiringan, Ngemplak and Ngaglik. Landslides exposed many geological features, such as faults, rock formation and stratigraphy, and some unstable slopes. Cultural and geological heritages at Yogyakarta Region were created over the time.

Abstract

Trichophyton rubrum is a common fungus that causes a dermatophyte infection known as tinea cruris. More than a fifth of the population in Indonesia suffers from this infection.  Alpinia purpurata K. Schum or well known as red galangal is said to have antifungal properties because of its composition, which includes compounds such as volatile oil, acetyl chavicol, flavonoids, and phenols. This study was aimed to determine the antifungal activity of a oil-in-water-based cream containing red galangal rhizome extract (RGRE) against T. rubrum. RGRE was obtained by macerating the rhizomes in a solvent of 96% ethanol and evaporating until a thick extract was obtained. The extract was then formulated into an oil/water-based cream at concentrations of 10%, 15%, and 20%. The creams were evaluated for their physical properties, including organoleptic properties, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, adhesivity, and spreadability. The antifungal activity was tested using the agar diffusion method against T. rubrum. Data on the physical properties of the creams and their antifungal activity were analyzed using a one-way ANOVA test with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that creams with higher RGRE concentrations exhibited decreased spreadability and pH values but increased the viscosity and adhesivity test. The antifungal activity increased with higher RGE concentrations, starting at 10%, 15%, and 20%, with inhibition diameters of 12.33 mm, 18.83 mm, and 21.66 mm, respectively. Statistical analysis showed that RGE concentration affected the physical properties of the cream, including pH, spreadability, viscosity, adhesivity test as well as antifungal activity (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the water-in-oil-based cream containing 20% RGRE exhibits favorable physical properties and antifungal activity. Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women has serious implications for both mother and baby, including fatigue, heart complications, infections, hemorrhage during delivery, postpartum depression, and even death. For the baby, anemia can lead to prematurity, growth and developmental delays, low birth weight, and mortality. The highest incidence of anemia occurs in women aged under 20 and over 35 years and is more common in women with high parity due to increased plasma volume and hemodilution. Management of anemia in pregnancy can be achieved through health education, antenatal care (ANC) examinations, and regular consumption of iron (Fe) tablets. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal age and parity and the incidence of anemia in the working area of Sipatana Public Health Center. This research used an analytic method with a cross-sectional design and involved 104 pregnant women as respondents. The results showed that pregnant women in the at-risk age group had a 0.140 times lower likelihood of experiencing anemia based on statistical tests (p = 0.034). Meanwhile, women with high parity had a 3.628 times greater risk of experiencing anemia (p = 0.033). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between maternal age and parity and the incidence of anemia in the working area of Sipatana Public Health Center.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a more accurate estimate of the cost of goods manufactured by considering the activities involved in the sago production process. The type of data used is quantitative data obtained through secondary data, such as company history, organizational structure, and operational activities of the sago refinery. The data collection technique applied is documentation, with data processing using Activity Based Costing (ABC). Data analysis is done descriptively, describing the characteristics and patterns of the collected data. The results of this study indicate that overall the Activity Based Costing Method provides a lower value for the products produced, or in other words these two products experience overcosting. In the calculation of the cost of production of wet sago using the ABC method, the difference is Rp. 155.48 (44.20%) compared to using the traditional method used by the Selat Akar Village Sago Refinery.  Meanwhile, in the calculation of the production cost of dry sago using the ABC method, the difference is Rp. 199.26 (55.80%). This proves that the Activity-Based Costing method is more accurate than the traditional method because in the Activity-Based Costing method, all factory overhead costs are calculated in detail based on activities, allowing the Sago Mill to determine the actual costs incurred in its production activities. Keywords: Activity Based Costing (ABC), Cost of Goods Produced.
