Abstract

Reinforced concrete structures constructed in coastal areas in Indonesia often suffer damage before reaching their intended service life, with steel reinforcement corrosion being a major contributing factor. This study aims to investigate the use of concrete structures produced with simple methods and inadequate supervision in coastal regions. Reinforced concrete structures near the coast are susceptible to carbonation due to marine environmental factors, leading to reinforcement corrosion. The study was conducted on the Dande Dandere Market building, Tanakeke Island, Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi. The research method employed quantitative techniques, including surveys and structural testing. Visual inspections were conducted to identify the types of damage present in the building and estimate their causes. Structural testing involved both destructive and non-destructive tests. Concrete compressive strength testing was also conducted to assess the concrete sample’s compressive strength, along with carbonation testing to determine the acidity level of concrete due to the intrusion of salt compounds or carbonation formed within the concrete mass. The research findings indicate structural degradation in the market’s construction, occurring more rapidly than the intended lifespan of the building. Signs of structural degradation in the reinforced concrete construction include spalling of concrete cover on beams, supporting columns, and cantileverslabs, as well as degraded reinforcement, with an average reduction in steel weight of 62.70% over six years, and an average weight loss of 0.103 grams per day. Therefore, efforts are needed to optimize the structural quality of the building through comprehensive repairs, starting from the foundation. However, for cost-efficient alternatives, it is recommended to use timber structural materials for new market construction. The use of timber in coastal buildings, which are vulnerable to marine influences, is more feasible as the presence of saltwater can inhibit wood decay caused by microorganisms.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah negara peringkat kedua penghasil sampah plastik di dunia . Hal ini karena jumlah penduduk Indonesia menduduki peringkat ke 4 di dunia yang mana hampir 80% masyarakat belum menyadari tentang pemilahan, penggunaan dan bahaya sampah dan semakin diperparah sejak Pandemi Covid 19. Pemerintah telah mengupayakan segala cara agar dapat menekan laju pertumbuhan produksi sampah plastik dengan menggeluarkan dana, menetapkan peraturan, menggalakkan program 5R. Salah satu upaya masyarakat adalah dengan memanfaatkan sampah menjadi material utama beton. Sampah sikat gigi plastik (Toothbrush Plastic Waste/TPW) adalah sampah yang tidak benilai namun produksinya sangat besar karena merupakan salah satu kebutuhan pokok kebersihan. Tekstur yang kuat, tahan panas dan tidak lapuk merupakan faktor utama pemilihan sebagai material subtitusi. TPW dipotong dengan Panjang 1-2 cm, komposisi prosentase TWP sebagai subtitusi agregat kasar diambil berdasarkan volume agregat kasar. Hasil penelitian membuktikan terjadi peningkatan kuat tekan hingga 28 hari. Toothbrush Plastic Waste of concrete pada kondisi sebelum dipanaskan yang terbaik adalah (TPWC) 2,5% memiliki nilai kuat tekan sebesar 15,83 Mpa dan berat isi sebesar 12,39 kg.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) reinforcement on the mechanical properties of concrete, by testing the compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength, and shear strength of concrete with and without CFRP reinforcement. The results of the study show a significant improvement in all aspects after the application of CFRP. Specifically, the compressive strength of concrete consistently increases after CFRP reinforcement, with CFRP 2 Layer reinforcement showing the highest increase. Similarly, the tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete also experience significant improvement after CFRP reinforcement, indicating better resistance to compression and tension. Lastly, CFRP reinforcement has a significantly positive impact on the shear strength of concrete, with an increase of up to 123% after the application of CFRP 2 Layers. These results indicate a substantial potential for improving the performance of concrete structures through the use of CFRP, with the greatest improvement observed in shear strength.

Abstract

The implementation of a construction project anywhere and in any form will never be free from risks, whether small-scale or large-scale risks. The smaller the potential risk, the more profitable the project will be, both in terms of costs and construction implementation. The larger the scale of a project, the greater the potential risks that arise which, if not handled properly, will hamper project implementation. One of the projects that was used as the object of study was the Implementation of the PKK, Dekranasda and UMKM Center Office Building Project for Makassar City. This project has a risk of delays so risk management analysis will be carried out with a formulation to obtain mitigation that suits the needs of the workplace. Data collection was carried out by identifying factors from previous research, a preliminary survey was carried out to determine factors that were relevant to the project conditions. After the relevant factors are distributed, a questionnaire is distributed to obtain data on the object's perception of the factors in the questionnaire. So the collected data is processed and analyzed using the SPSS 25 application using logistic regression analysis. The results of research using logistic regression analysis show is one main factor that influences the risk of delays in project work, namely schedule preparation. If the schedule preparation factors are carried out poorly then the chance of delays is 74.95%.

Abstract

Batu bata merah adalah bahan bangunan sejenis batako yang terbuat dari tanah liat dan dibakar pada suhu tinggi. Tanah liat merupakan bahan utama pembuatan batu bata merah ini jika dicampur dengan air akan menjadi suatu adonan yang plastis, dengan ini tingkat plastisitas yang tergantung dari jenis tanah liatnya. Batu bata merah dalam penelitian ini ditujukan untuk pemanfaatan limbah. Limbah batu bata merah dalam penelitian ini untuk pembuatan beton normal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode percobaan yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Struktur dan Bahan, Univeritas Muslim Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat mekanik dan sifat fisik beton dengan campuran limbah batu bata merah sebagai subtitusi/pengganti semen. Benda uji yang digunakan berbentuk silinder berdiameter 15 cm dan 30 cm. Pengujian kuat tekan dan Porositas beton dilakukan pada variasi umur beton yaitu 7, 14, 21, dan 28 hari. Presentase penggunaan limbah batu bata merah antara lain 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, dan 20%. Berdasarkan nilai kuat tekan rata-rata dengan menggunakan limbah batu bata merah sebagai subtitusi pada variasi 10% diperoleh hasil terbesar yaitu 17,365 MPa. Sedangkan untuk Porositas dengan menggunkan limbah batu bata merah sebagai subtitusi diperoleh hasil terbesar pada variasi 20% yaitu 3,233 %.

Abstract

Pemakain batu bara di Indonesia semakin meningkat mengakitbatkan semakin melimpahnya limbah batu bara berupa fly ash yang tergolong limbah B3 yang jika dimanfaatkan dapat berkontribusi positif terhadap lingkungan. Fly ash memiliki karakteristik pozzolan sehingga jika dilibatkan sebagai material subtituen pada campuran beton disinyalir dapat berefek positif pada kinerja beton. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh keberadaan fly ash batu bara sebagai substitusi parsial semen terhadap kuat tekan beton dan juga mengetahui kadar presentase fly ash batu bara yang optimum yang memberikan kuat tekan terbesar pada beton. Metode penelitian berbasis eksperimen di laboratorium meliputi pengujian karakteristik dasar material, mix design, dan pengujian kuat tekan beton. Sampel dibuat berbentuk silinder dengan ukuran 15x30 cm. Variasi kadar substitusi fly ash sebesar 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25% terhadap jumlah semen. Beton diuji setelah mencapai umur 28 hari. Data yang diperoleh dari pengujian secara sekuensial di laboratorium membuktikan bahwa substitusi fly ash antara 0% sampai dengan 12,49% meningkatkan nilai kuat tekan beton dengan nilai optimal sebesar 35,59Mpa pada kadar 12,49%. Subtitusi fly ash dengan kadar yang melebihi 12,49% berdampak pada penurunan kekuatan beton. Hasil ini menggambarkan bahwa pada kadar tertentu, pemanfaatan limbah batubara fly ash bisa meningkatkan nilai kuat tekan beton.

Abstract

Di Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar, terdapat 4 lokasi cetak sawah baru. Salah satu lokasi cetak sawah baru yang dilakukan Pemerintah Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar yaitu di Desa Mare-mare yang memiliki luas fungsional 30,6 Ha, dan luas baku 933 Ha. Pemerintah daerah terus berupaya untuk menambah luasan sawah di Desa Mare-mare. Sumber air irigasi warga di Desa Mare-mare bersumber dari sumur dangkal, sungai, dan sumur bor melalui sistem pompanisasi yang dialirkan melalui jaringan perpipaan. Studi ini membahas apakah debit air pada sumur dangkal, sungai, dan sumur bor sudah mencukupi kebutuhan air pada daerah irigasi Mare-mare dan berapa kebutuhan air irigasi untuk daerah irigasi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan air irigasi dan efisiensi pengaliran. Efisiensi pengaliran dihitung berdasarkan kehilangan air pada saluran irigasi tersebut, apakah sudah memenuhi standar atau belum sesuai dengan kriteria efisiensi pengaliran pada saluran irigasi sehingga dapat diketahui perlunya pembangunan jaringan irigasi Mare-mare Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar. Hasil perhitungan kebutuhan air total dengan menggunakan pola tanam Padi-Padi-Palawija tertinggi pada bulan januari sebesar 1,64 ltr/dtk/ha.

Abstract

Sungai Larompong berada di Kabupaten Luwu Propinsi Sulawesi Selatan merupakan sungai utama dari DAS Larompong yang melintasi desa Komba, desa Lumaring Kelurahan Larompong dengan bemuara di Teluk Bone. Debit Sungainya cenderung besar dan rawan banjir pada saat curah hujan tinggi dengan kondisi penampang sungai saat ini seringkali meluap mengakibat bencana terutama disekitar sungai utama. Untuk mengkaji permasalahan banjir tersebut, dilakukan kajian pengaliran sungai terhadap koefisien kekasaran Manning. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui debit banjir kala ulang berapa yang menyebabkan luapan banjir dari kondisi penampang sungai saat ini serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh nilai koefisien kekasaran manning terhadap muka air banjir yang terjadi dan membandingkannya dengan data sekunder. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan yaitu bulan September-Desember 2019. Variabel yang diamati dan dihitung yaitu debit banjir kala ulang, deskripsi karakteristik kekasaran penampang sungai. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dan penentuan titik pengukuran dan pengamatan berdasarkan pertimbangan tertentu. Data dianalisis dengan bantuan software HEC-RAS.

Abstract

The modulus of elasticity or modulus of stiffness is a metric that indicates the stiffness of a mixture based on the stress and strain relationship. One very important component that influences the performance of asphalt pavement is the stiffness modulus. A lower stiffness modulus value makes it easier to experience deformation, which causes the pavement to crack easily when subjected to heavy loads. Asphalt concrete mixtures with high stiffness modulus values ​​will be stiffer and more resistant to deflection. This study is experimental with the aim of obtaining an asphalt concrete mixture that is able to withstand loads without changes. In this study, the asphalt concrete mixture was composited with coconut fibers with the aim of determining the effect of coconut fibers in increasing stress and tensile strain as well as the stiffness modulus of the mixture. This type of test is carried out using an ITS test equipment to obtain stress, strain and stiffness modulus values.

Abstract

The construction of the Maritime Science Polytechnic building in Makassar City (PIP), is based on the results of a planning review which consists of several activity components, namely; Preparation of work, Land, Structure, Architecture, Mechanical, Power House. With reference to the RAB, the Structure component constitutes the largest portion of the budget allocation of Rp. 51,058,734,268.85. In this way, these work items allow for evaluation, with the aim of efficiency or cost savings while remaining functional and maintaining good quality. Using the evaluation method approach, the floor base plate work item which is the sub-work of the BOC -010 elevation structure which originally used reinforcement using the conventional method was changed to using Wiremesh. After analyzing the reinforcement calculations, it was found that As w > As needed = 904.32 mm2 > 723,456 mm2. So the use of D20-150 iron bar can be replaced with M12-150 wiremesh iron. The results obtained from the results of the conversion analysis which originally used D20 – 150 iron bars, the unit price for conventional iron was Rp. 16,347.56 per kilogram to wiremesh M 12-150 unit price of Rp. 10,060.96 per kilogram. The final results show that; conventional reinforcement according to plan Rp., 16,347.56 x 122,976 = Rp. 2,010,357,646.00 while the price after changes (wiremesh) is IDR 10,060.96 x 122,976.00 = IDR. 1,237,256,616.96. The research results show that in terms of costs, by replacing conventional iron with wire mesh, savings of IDR 1,522,768,824.03 are obtained or with a savings weight of 1.19% of the total budget amount.
