Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the value of the traditional ceremony of the Gawai (rice interest rate) Kapuas Hulu Dayak West Kalimantan tribe. The author is interested in exploring the Gawai ceremony in order to learn about the culture inherited from ancestors and can be used in literary learning. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative methods, namely to obtain information and description of the form, function, and value of speech in the Gawai ceremony based on folklore studies. Sources of research data were taken from field research and were obtained from speakers. Data collection techniques used through observation and interview techniques. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and making conclusions. The results of the study show how learning for students is to overcome these activities, and appreciate activities, by writing, this ritual is an internalization and appreciation, in order to preserve and develop regional culture and literature, by providing information and meaning in depth. The activity of reading and reading the text of prayer and meaning, is expected to determine what is bad, what is evil and good spirit. Beneficial values ​​and sincerity that can be applied to the Jubata (god).

Abstract

Culture shock is very much related to the situation where there are worries and uncertainties of excessive feelings and thoughts experienced by people who occupy new and unfamiliar territory. In Unsika Itself, the condition of culture shock is very apparent among students in particular. This condition is not only backgrounded by the status of Unsika which is a State University in the Karawang area, but also because of the position of the City of Karawang which is located on the border of the Capital City known as the center of Metropolitan life. Thus, it more or less affects the social circumstances of the community formed in a state of culture shock. The number of incoming students from various regions and even from the outside of the island, makes the condition of culture shock among the Unsika students varies. However, in this study it was found that the greatest average of the crisis phase was experienced by female students or respondents. Therefore, it is very interesting to be investigated further on the causes and their relevance.

Abstract

Menulis cerita fantasi sulit dikuasai karena dalam menulis teks ini diperlukan kreativitas siswa dalam menceritakan alur cerita secara kreatif. Motivasi siswa perlu terus dikembangkan sehingga mereka terstimulasi untuk menghasilkan ide-ide kreatif saat menulis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kreatifitas siswa dalam menulis cerita fantasi melalui penerapan model Brainwriting yang dibantu oleh media komik non-teks untuk. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas tujuh dengan total 30 siswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi, tes dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa langkah-langkah pembelajaran model brainwriting berbasis pengembangan kreatifitas berbantuan media komik telah dilaksanakan dengan baik oleh guru. Analisis kemampuan menulis cerita fantasi siswa secara umum mencapai kategori mampu, dengan capaian pada setiap aspek adalah sangat mampu pada aspek struktur dengan indeks penilaian 87,80. Pada aspek kebahasaan penguasaan menulis mencapai kategori mampu dengan indeks penilaian 74,30, dan pada aspek ciri umum berkategori mampu dengan rata-rata pencapaian 79,20. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model brainwriting berbantuan media komik dapat mengembangkan kreativitas siswa dalam menulis cerita fantasi.

Abstract

Abstrak.Folklor adalah bahan-bahan yang diwariskan dari tradisi, melalui kata-kata dari mulut ke mulut maupun dari praktik adat istiadat. Dengan kata lain, folklor pada dasarnya merupakan wujud budaya yang diturunkan dan atau diwariskan secara turun-temurun secara lisan (oral). Nilai didaktis yang terkandung dalam Novel “Supata Sangkuriang” masih erat mempertahankan nilai didaktis yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Sangkuriang. Dengan wacana lain, novel tersebut dapat mempertahankan nilai didaktis cerita rakyat Sangkuriang. Nilai didaktis yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Sangkuriang dan Novel “Supata Sangkuriang” adalah: 1) Mengendalikan Nafsu, 2) Sabar dan Penyayang, 3) Percaya terhadap Adanya Kekuatan Gaib, 4) Sikap Jujur, 5) Sikap Tidak Sombong, dan 6) Sikap Demokratis.Kata Kunci : Cerita Rakyat, Sangkuriang, Novel

Abstract

This study examines semiotic study and the value of islam in oral tradition of Sariga in Muna society of south Sulawesi Province.??. Semiotic meaning and islamic values ??in the Muna community are widely applied through local traditions in the community and one of them is the oral tradition of Sariga. The problem in this study is "What meaning of semiotics and islamic values ??are contained in the Sariga oral tradition of the Muna tribe in Southeast Sulawesi?" The purpose of this study is to describe meaning of semiotics and islamic values ??contained in the Sariga oral tradition of the Muna tribe in Southeast Sulawesi. The method used is the ethnographic method and the method of cultural research. Theories used in this research are semiotic theory, value theory, value theory in Islamic religion, oral tradition theory, and cultural theory. The results showed that meaning semiotic in the oral tradition of Sariga in the Muna society that every material or equipment used during the procession of the Sariga oral tradition, is not only material/tool without meaning, but every material used also has a specific meaning/function for the community. The Islamic values ??in the oral tradition of Sariga in the Muna community contained Divine value, Religious value, Human value, Ethical value, and Aesthetic value. Abstract

This study aimed to describe the material co-text of the Gawai Dayak tradition of the Kantu tribe of West Kalimantan. In addition, research was also to find out what materials are used in the Gawai Dayak tradition. This research was descriptive qualitative. Data were taken by means of direct interviews, observation and documentation. For the validity of the data, the study used data triangulation techniques. The research respondents were 5 people, consisting of the community, tradition observers and the village head of Ranyai, West Kalimantan. The results showed that the material context of the Gawai Dayak tradition consists of equipment and food. The food offerings consisted of Pulut, Jawak, Seed of paddy, Cocunut, The seed of cucumber, Sugar, Eggs, Betel nut, Chicken(manok) Tuak (fermantion drink). While the equipment includes nampah, plates, small baskets, and bamboo squares and other tools. All tools and food offerings have meaning and purpose that could be closer to the true meaning of life.

Abstract

This study aimed to study the effect of drama-based language teaching on students' presentation skills in college. This study used a quasi-experimental method by dividing two groups of participants, namely experimental and control. The samples involved in this study were 100 students from semester 5, divided into 2 groups with the composition of each group of 50 students. The experimental group received a drama-based teaching intervention and was assigned to perform live drama at the end of the semester, while the control group did not. The research results show that drama-based language teaching contributes significantly to students' presentation skills. The improvement in presentation skills is seen in the presentation aspect, namely organization, adaptability, and presentation content. It can be concluded that the intervention of language teaching through drama can improve students' oral language skills or presentation skills. This study implies that in supporting academic activities, students' speaking skills can use drama as an alternative, especially for students who take language studies programs.

Abstract

Literature education in schools was still not optimal. Teachers and students still paid less attention to the importance of literature for life. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of learning literature at school in class X high school students, especially mantras. Second, knowing the value contained in the spell. The method used is a qualitative method. There were 5 respondents who live in the village of Ranyai, West Kalimantan. The research process included collecting data by means of interviews, documentation and document review. Techniques of data analysis by collecting data, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the study indicated that a process that was well prepared and carried out according to plan, will result in enjoyable literature learning. The process of learning literature could be started from tracing, practical attitudes, introduction and discussion. The values ​​contained in the Gawai Dayak mantra were religious values, educational values ​​and the value of natural balance. This research had implications for the need for literary materials taken from local wisdom, so that Indonesian culture could develop and not became extinct.

Abstract

Memperkenalkan pendidikan sastra untuk anak usia dini masih menjadi pendidikan yang langka, padahal pendidikan sastra mempunyai tujuan agar anak mampu beradaptasi ditengah-tengah keberagaman budaya dan tradisi yang berkembang di Indonesia. Tujuan  penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana menanamkan tradisi Gawai Dayak sebagai warisan budaya kepada anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Penanaman pembelajaran tradisi lisan pada anak usia dini dapat dilakukan dengan cara, menyaksikan tradisi secara langsung dan didampingi oleh para guru dan orang tua, serta ikut langsung berpartisipasi pada berbagai program seperti pawai budaya. Pembelajaran tradisi Gawai Dayak pada anak dapat berfokus pada rangkaian kegiatan tradisi, tarian tradisi dan benda-benda asesoris perlengkapan tradisi Gawai Dayak seperti sajian tradisi, dan gendang. Fokus tersebut dapat diperkenalkan dengan metode bercerita dan metode bermain yang dapat dikembangan dengan permainan tradisional. Pembelajaran sastra hendaknya dapat masuk kedalam kurikulum pembelajaran dan disesuaikan dengan pembelajaran modern sepeti membuat pembelajaran aplikasi daring bergambar kartun.

Abstract

Wayang orang adalah suatu kesenian tradisional yang sangat multifungsi dan universal semua kalangan dapat menikmati dalam pementasan wayang orang. Para penikmat pewayangan sependapat apabila pementasan wayang orang merupaan kesenian tradisional yang mempunyai nilai-niai luhur yang tinggi. Wayang wong mengajaran ajaran dan nilai-nilai itu tidak secara teoretis saja (berupa ajaran dan nilai-nilai) melainkan secara konkret dengan menghadirkan kehidupan tokoh-tokohnya secara konkret sebagai teladan. Peran, makna dan nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam wayang wong dalam masyarakat Cirebon yang selama ini hampir punah,. Sebagai rasa bangga sebagai bangsa Indonesia yang nanti akan mewariskan nilai-nilai budaya sebagai perwujudan kearifan lokal (wisdom local) yang bisa dijadikan khasanah pewarisan budaya wayang wong di masa yang akan datang.Kajian dan nilai-nilai pertunjukan sebagai upaya revitalisasi pada generasi saat ini melalui pelestarian dan kearifan lokal untuk menjaga dan merawat nilai-nilai luhur. Kebudayan dan multikultur tradisi masyarakat wilayah Cirebon Jawa Barat yang kental akan nilai-nilai pendidikan. Sehingga mindseet serta pola pikir perlu adanya perubahan untuk bisa menanamkan nilai-nilai budaya kesenian wayang wong Cirebon dalam pembelajaran sastra. Penelitian kualitatif (Qualitative research) adalah suatu penelitian yang ditujukan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis orang secara individual maupun kelompok. Beberapa deskripsi digunakan untuk menemukan prinsip-prinsip dan penjelasan yang mengarahkan pada penyimpulan. Dengan demikian peserta didik dalam pembelajaran sastra melalui seni pertunjukan wayang dengan Lakon Sumantri Ngengger sangat perlu diterapkan untuk pembelajaran sastra di sekolah sebagai bahan ajar dan muatan lokal. Nilai-nilai pada pendidikan dapat diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sebagai wujud pendidikan karakter di sekolah.
