Abstract

Antenatal Care (ANC) is a health service by trained health workers for mothers during their pregnancy, which must be carried out routinely, according to standards and in an integrated manner. ANC services are indispensable and recommended for pregnant women in order to maintain the health of the mother and fetus during pregnancy, detect and treat abnormalities early and prepare the mother for safe delivery. In fact, there are still many pregnant women who do not access ANC services according to standards, so this situation can contribute to morbidity and mortality rate (MMR).The research was conducted in November 2020 – March 2021 by searching for secondary data from two electronic databases, namely Google Scholer and Pubmed (2015 to 2020). Studies were selected through the PRISMA protocol and critically assessed using JBI’s Critical Appraisal Tool. Test for heterogeneity, summary effect and publication bias using the JASP application version 0.14.1. Odd ratio with 95% confidence level (CI) was used to calculate the effect size. From the selected data, the husband’s knowledge and support factors have quite a lot of differences in research results, so it is necessary to re-analyze the relationship of husband’s knowledge and support during pregnancy with ANC visits by pregnant women to produce more accurate conclusions. Based on the inclusion criteria, there were 17 studies that could be included in the meta-analysis, with 3.956 respondents from Indonesia, Ethiopia and Vietnam. Homogeneous data with the combined OR value of knowledge of pregnant women with ANC visits is 2,48 (95% CI; 2,01-3,03) and the relationship of husband’s support during pregnancy with ANC visits is 2,03 (95% CI; 1,65-2,51), and there are publications biased. This meta-analysis confirms that there is a significant positive relationship between husband’s knowledge and support during pregnancy and ANC visits.

Abstract

Several estimates can occur in the status of blood haemoglobin levels, which can be rated lower or higher than average values. Some previous studies revealed several factors that can affect a person’s Hb levels, such as age and level of exposure. Data from the Banjarbaru City Health Office states that 2017 found farmers in Banjarbaru added to anaemia by 25% for the average age of 47 to 67 years. Meanwhile, the average cholinesterase level was 8.36 U / L. In the data it was also found that polycythemia was 13.33% with an average of 48 to 75 years, whereas the average cholinesterase level was 9.33 U / L. This study aim to analyze age, time off and pesticide exposure to hemoglobin levels in vegetable farmers in the Landasan Ulin Utara Sub-District, Banjarbaru City. This type of research is observational analytic with cross-sectional study design. The population in this study were vegetable farmers who used pesticides in the area of Landasan Ulin Utara Sub-District with a sample of 51 people. Based on the results of research related to age and exposure to pesticides or the levels of Acetyl Cholinesterase (AchE) to Hb levels of vegetable farmers in the Landasan Ulin Utara Sub-District, Banjarbaru City. Cholinesterase levels are the most dominant factor.

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is ranked 27th cause of death in the world in 1990 and increased 18th in 2010. The results of Riskesdas in 2013 showed the prevalence of CKD in Indonesia by 0.2% or 2 per 1000 population. A long history of hypertension and kidney stones can cause a decrease in kidney function, patients with chronic renal failure who are still working have a level of fatigue that can trigger stress. Working conditions outdoors in hot temperatures can result in dehydration. The severity of patients with chronic kidney failure can be influenced by hypertension, kidney stones and work. Objective: To analyze risk factors for the severity of chronic kidney failure that undergo hemodialysis at Ulin Regional Hospital in South Kalimantan. Method: An observational analytic study with a cross sectional study design. A sample of 65 patients using simple random sampling. The research instrument used patient medical record data. Data analysis with descriptive and statistical namely chi square and multiple logistic regression. Results: Patients who also suffered from hypertension had a greater risk for end-stage CKD (p = 0.010). Patients who also suffered from kidney stones had a greater risk for end-stage CKD (p = 0.034). Kidney failure patients who are still working have a risk of CRF (p = 0.011). Analysis using multiple logistic regression showed hypertension variables (p = 0.010; Exp.B = 7.236), kidney stones (p = 0.034; Exp.B = 5.221), and occupation (p = 0.011; Exp.B = 5.424) with a level of confidence 95%. Conclusion: There is a relationship between hypertension, kidney stones, and occupation with the severity of chronic kidney failure, with the most dominant variable hypertension among the three variables.

Abstract

Hypertension is a hidden threat because it often occurs without symptoms. The high mortality rate due to hypertension is recorded at 45% according to WHO. Factors that trigger hypertension include age, gender, family history, smoking habits, salt consumption, saturated weak consumption, alcoholic beverages, obesity, lack of physical activity, stress and estrogen disorders. Gender and smoking variables are interesting to study because Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest number of smokers in the world. From WHO data in 2008, Indonesia ranks third after China and India in the ten largest smoking countries. The number of smokers reaches 65 million people. The purpose of this study was to determine the tendency of the relationship between sex and smoking habits on the incidence of hypertension using the meta-analysis method. Article used as datasource from Google Scholar and PUBMED. Of the 299 articles that were screened based on the specified inclusion criteria, 12 articles were used as the database of this study. The results showed that there was a relationship between smoking habits and gender with the incidence of hypertension with the incidence of hypertension was 1.397 with a 95% CI: 1.212-1.611. The combined effect also resulted in a Z value of 4.611 and a p value of 0.000 and the relationship between sex and the incidence of hypertension was 1.384 with a 95% CI: 1.074-1.784. The combined effect also produces a Z-value of 2.510 and a p-value of 0.012.
