Abstract

A Fisheries Business License (SIUP) is a mandatory thing that must be owned by fish farming entrepreneurs to have a license to do business and use the fish cultivation production facilities contained in the letter. It is important for every cultivator to know the procedures for obtaining a SIUP so that the business carried out can run well. The problem found is that most farmers do not have a SIUP because they do not know the purpose and benefits of SIUP for the catfish business they are engaged in. The purpose of this community service is to provide knowledge about doing catfish farming businesses that have SIUP. This service was carried out on September 4-5, 2021 at the Pokdakan OI Cere Nggembe Village, Bolo District, Bima Regency using the socialization method and FGD to the OI Cere Pokdakan which consists of 10 members. The result of the service is that the participants have known the procedures for the SIUP application process and the benefits of having a SIUP in running a dumbo catfish farming business.

Abstract

Bima district is a biggest salt producer in West Nusa Tenggara Province. In the salt  process production in this region, one of the method used is geoisolator technology. So that the purpose of this research is to analyze the amount of salt production that used geoisolator technology. The data were used are the data for 2016 – 2021. The result show that the centered of salt production using geoisolator technology located in sub district Bolo, Lambu, Woha and Palibelo. The highest production is in Sanolo sub district with the amount of production is 62526,37 Ton and the lowest production is in Pali Belo sub district with the amouth of production is 4698,4 Ton. Furthermore on the overall annual data, show that the production in 2016 is the lowest  and the highest production can be seen in 2020 with the amount of  36628,7 Ton.

Abstract

Pelatihan pembuatan kecap ini bertujuan unutk meningkatkan keterampilan ibu-ibu PKK yang berada di Kecamatan Tekarang Kabupaten Sambas. Pelatihan ini menggunakan limbah air kelapa yang tidak dimanfaatkan dengan baik. Air kelapa merupakan salah satu cairan yang berasal dalam buah kelapa dengan segudang manfaat dan memiliki banyak kandungan zat gizi. Kelapa menjadi salah satu hasil pertanian yang melimpah di Kecamatan Tekarang Kabupaten Sambas. Selain itu pula Kecamatan Tekarang memilki banyak hasil pertanian diantaranya kelapa, jeruk, buah naga, jambu kristal dan jenis hasil pertanian lainnya. Pemanfaatan air kelapa itu sendiri masih jarang dimanfaatkan, karena pemahaman dan ketidak tahuan masyarakat terhadap pengolahan yang harus dilakukan. Peserta yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini berjumlah berkisar 20 Peserta dan tergabung dalam ibu–ibu PKK Kecamatan Tekarang. Respon positif yang diberikan ibu-ibu PKK terhadap kegiatan ini adalah dengan hasil olahan yang dilakukan tergolong berhasil. Keterukuran ini dilakukan dari tekstur, warna, aroma dan rasa. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini diharapkan peserta dapat menjadi lebih terampil dan dapat mengembangkan produk olahan samping hasil pertanian yang berada di Kecamatan Tekarang Kabupatan Sambas.

Abstract

Sebangun Village is a village whose main commodities are dominated by sago, rubber, and palm oil plantations. The livelihoods of rural communities focus on increasing agricultural and non-food plantation products. Local people have not been able to convert sago plants into productive plants. The community needs knowledge related to processing sago and fish into a product so that it can open up additional business opportunities apart from plantation products. Therefore, to support food security and improve the nutrition of the community in Sebangun Village, a community service program is carried out, namely training in making catfish amplang with the diversification of sago flour. The method used is demonstrations through training, practice, and assistance to improve the skills of the community, especially women in Sebangun Village, to produce nutritious and quality-processed catfish and sago flour products independently and sustainably. The results of the service showed that the participants already had the knowledge, skills, and directly practiced the process of making catfish amplang using sago flour. This community service activity can increase the consumption of fish protein in the Sebangun Village community and create business groups to improve the community's economy.

Abstract

Pineapple fruit is a fruit that has distinctive characteristics ranging from aroma, color and shape. This fruit contains many nutrients that are beneficial to the body including bromyelin, vitamin C and other nutrients. This community service activity aims to improve the community's ability to utilize local food ingredients that have the potential to increase village superior products. The problem faced by Sajad Village is that there are frequent losses because agricultural products from pineapples tend to have lower prices to be sold to the market, besides that this loss also causes the motivation of the farmers to decrease. The preparations made in this activity are pineapple syrup, pineapple jam and shredded pineapple and packaging is done on preparations that have been processed. The method used in this community service is through outreach and training. After the training process was completed, each team evaluated the preparations that had been made and the testers were given the opportunity to give their opinion. Based on the activities that have been carried out, the community in Sajad Village, Sambas Regency, is satisfied and helped by the preparations that have been carried out. Another result that can be seen is that participants begin to understand that pineapple has many derivative preparations that can be utilized and are aware of the advantages of consuming pineapple.

Abstract

Kelapa merupakan salah satu tanaman yang memiliki banyak kegunaan pada tiap bagian tubuhnya. Olahan turunan yang dapat dikembangkan mencakup buah, batang, daun dan bagian lainnya. Sambas merupakan salah satu penghasil kelapa yg cukup besar di provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis estimasi VCO yang dapat dihasilkan berdasarkan luas lahan yang ada. Untuk menghitung luasan ini memanfaatkan sistem informasi geografi menggunakan software Qgis 3.33. Dari hasil analisis ini diperoleh luasan lahan kelapa berjumlah terdapat 7 wilayah kecamatan. Untuk pembagian sebaran wilayah dan besaran yang ada di Kabupaten Sambas yaitu Tangaran (58 ha), Jawai (9.915 ha), Pemangkat (1.830 ha), Jawai Selatan (1.167 ha), Selakau (3.711 ha) dan Salatiga (7.008 ha). Dan estimasi VCO terbesar berada di Kecamatan Jawai dengan produksi yang dihasilkan dapat mencapai ± 9.915 sampai dengan  ± 12.889,5 liter. Sedangkan untuk prduksi terkecil berada pada wilayah Tangaran dengan jumlah estimasi produksi VCO adalah ± 58 – ± 75,4 liter. Pemetaan potensi lahan kelapa ini merupakan kondisi terbaru yang dapat menggambarkan kondisi kelapa dibagian pesisir Kabupaten Sambas. Hasil dari data tersebut menjelaskan bahwa adanya potensi yang besar terhadap hasil produksi VCO di Kabupaten Sambas (±  69.405 buah kelapa/tahun (butir)) yang dapat berdampak terhadap peningkatan ekonomi dan dapat terpenuhi kebutuhan industri skala secara nasional

Abstract

Water has a crucial role in human life and ecosystems, especially as a source of life. However, the sustainability of water sources, such as rivers, is threatened by industrial waste pollution, as happened to the Jirak River in Sambas City. This condition is caused by the poor system of Wastewater Sewerage (SPAL) and Wastewater Management Plant (WWTP), as well as the shortage of latrines around the river. In 2014, the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia noted that 75% of rivers in Indonesia experienced heavy pollution, including the Jirak River. One of the main pollutants is mercury (Hg), which can be toxic and harmful to human health. Therefore, it is necessary to make prevention and counseling efforts to the community. The purpose of this counseling is to socialize about the dangers of consuming polluted fish in Jirak Village in the Jirak River area of Sambas Regency, and also provide awareness to the surrounding community to consume fresh fish that can be applied in people's lives in a sustainable manner. The location of this counseling is the Jirak River located in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The approach used in this community service activity is to provide socialization and direct communication to mothers in Jirak Village. The socialization participants participated in the activity by actively discussing and experiencing increased knowledge and understanding of the dangers of consuming polluted fish.

Abstract

Community service programs (PKM) by independent funding has done because of the sudden death of many fish due to the effect of environmental pollutions in the river of Sambas at 2019. Decrease of water quality as the effect of human activity like agriculture, palm plantation, fisheries, mining, and the industries around Sambas treams is an impact of the water quality decrease. From that phenomena needs service program with a counceling methods about water quality. The objective of this service are; 1) provide a knownledge, educational insight, skills and awareness to participate on environmental protection from destructive activity, 3) provide a training about mechanism and procedure of water quality measuring, and water quality sampling to test at laboratory. There are two activity on this program, that is socialization with a presentation materials and focus group discussions (FGD) and water quality sampling training with material exposure then carried out direct practice to measuring any water quality parameters that will test at laboratory. This independent programs implemented in Sepantai Village Sejangkung at the District of Sambas on September 12 – 13, 2020. There are 25 participants attended on this event, 15 participants are come from local society and Village Aparattus from Sepantai Village.Keywords: Pollutions, training, water quality, river, environtment

Abstract

Bakso ikan adalah salah satu bentuk diversifikasi hasil perikanan yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi karena rasanya yang enak, harga terjangkau, dan mudah didapatkan. Bakso dalam penelitian ini menggunakan ikan rucah sebagai bahan baku dan penambahan daun kesum dengan perlakuan awal segar dan kukus serta jumlah penambahan daun kesum 2,5 g, 5 g, 7,5 g, dan 10 g. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mutu bakso yang lebih disukai oleh responden. Bakso ikan yang telah dihasilkan dianalisis secara kualitatif yaitu berdasarkan uji organoleptik meliputi kenampakan, aroma, tekstur dan rasa. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa penambahan daun kesum pada bakso ikan rucah memiliki nilai organoleptik untuk nilai kenampakan berkisar 6,26 – 7,97; aroma berkisar 6,6 – 7,29; tekstur berkisar antara 6,03 – 7,8; dan rasa berkisar antara 5,91 – 7,23. Perlakuan awal daun kesum berpengaruh nyata terhadap tekstur. Penambahan jumlah daun kesum berpengaruh nyata terhadap kenampakan dan rasa pada bakso ikan. Interaksi antara penambahan jumlah dan perlakuan awal daun kesum berpengaruh nyata terhadap rasa. Penambahan daun kesum 2,5 gram (perlakuan K1J1) pada bakso ikan rucah merupakan perlakuan terbaik berdasarkan nilai organoleptik yang menghasilkan bakso dengan karakteristik bakso berwarna hijau muda, memiliki cukup aroma daun kesum, tekstur cukup kompak, kurang terlihat serat bakso daun kesum, rasa gurih khas bakso ikan, rasa bakso yang cukup terasa daun kesum.

Abstract

Mengrove merupakan tumbuhan di wilayah pesisir yang dapat hidup di lingkungan bersalinitas tinggi serta memiliki kemampuan untuk membentuk ekosistem. Ekosistem mangrove juga menjadi salah satu ekosistem yang produktif di lingkungan pesisir. Tumbuhan ini dapat ditemui di lingkungan pesisir Kabupaten Sambas salah satunya di wilayah Kecamatan Jawai. Namun, mangrove di wilayah kecamatan ini cenderung sering mengalami perubahan yang dalam hal ini adalah perubahan kerapatannya. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memantau perubahan vegetasi mangrove dengan menggunakan metode NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) di wilayah Kecamatan Jawai selama 2013 - 2022. NDVI sendiri digunakan untuk menggambarkan tingkat kerapatan suatu vegetasi. Pemantauan dilakukan pada tiap interval waktu 3 tahun yaitu pada 2013, 2016, 2019 dan 2022. Hasil dari pengamatan yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa NDVI mangrove di Kecamatan Jawai terbagi kedalam 3 klasifikasi tingkat kerapatan yaitu kerapatan rendah, sedang dan tinggi. Dan klasifikasi kelas kerapatan tinggi seiring dengan perubahan waktu cenderung dominan dibanding kelas kerapatan rendah dan sedang. Nilai NDVI mangrove di Kecamatan Jawai menunjukkan adanya kondisi fluktuatif pada tiap periode waktu tahun 2013, 2016, 2019 dan 2022. Dengan nilai NDVI 2013 berkisar pada 0,0823 – 0,4168; NDVI 2016 berkisar pada 0,1080 – 0,5445; NDVI 2019 berkisar pada 0,0038 – 0,5380; dan NDVI 2022 berkisar pada 0,0168 – 0,5544.
