Abstract

Abstract This study analyzes the influence of job hopping, organizational culture, and leadership style on employee job satisfaction, with career development as a mediating variable at the Malang City Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM). Civil servant job satisfaction is crucial for improving the quality of public services in local government agencies. The study employed a quantitative explanatory approach with a population of Malang City Civil Servant Agency (BKPSDM) employees. Data were collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results showed that job hopping had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. However, organizational culture and leadership style did not have a significant direct effect on job satisfaction. Organizational culture and leadership style had a significant positive effect on career development, while job hopping had no effect. Career development did not significantly influence job satisfaction and did not mediate the relationship between the three independent variables and job satisfaction (no mediation in all paths). These findings indicate that in the context of a rigid civil servant bureaucracy, job satisfaction is more directly influenced by job stability and internal job mobility than by career development. The implication is that the BKPSDM needs to optimize internal job hopping and strengthen leadership to increase employee satisfaction. Keywords: Job Hopping, Organizational Culture, Leadership Style, Career Development, Job Satisfaction.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the influence of digital promotion strategies, ease of access, digital literacy, and consumer trust on the interest in using the Pegadaian Digital Service (PDS) / Tring! application. The background of this research is the digital transformation in the financial sector, which has encouraged PT. Pegadaian to innovate through digital platforms. However, not all customers have fully shifted to digital services. This quantitative study used a sample of 80 respondents who were customers of PT. Pegadaian Branch Blimbing Malang and had used the PDS/Tring! application. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 25. The results showed that the variables of digital promotion, ease of access, digital literacy, and consumer trust simultaneously have a significant effect on usage interest. Partially, only the digital promotion variable has a positive and significant effect on usage interest. Meanwhile, the variables of ease of access, digital literacy, and consumer trust partially have no significant effect on usage interest. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) of 0.074 indicates that 7.4% of the variation in usage interest can be explained by these four variables, while the remaining 92.6% is explained by other factors outside the model. The findings of this study imply that PT. Pegadaian needs to continue focusing on effective digital promotion strategies and providing assistance to customers, especially those less familiar with digital technology, to increase their interest in using the application. Keywords: Digital Promotion, Ease of Access, Digital Literacy, Consumer Trust, Application Usage Interest

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce applications has increased the number of user reviews that reflect public opinion on service quality and user experience. However, many previous studies rely only on rating-based sentiment analysis and do not utilize positive and negative sentiment lexicons, resulting in limited insight into public opinion. This study aims to analyze public opinion toward the Lazada application using a data mining–based sentiment analysis approach by combining user ratings and sentiment lexicons in the labeling process. The data set consists of Lazada user reviews collected from digital platforms. The research process includes data collection, data cleaning, and text preprocessing, such as text normalization, removal of emojis and symbols, and stopword elimination. Feature extraction is performed using the Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method. Sentiment labeling is conducted by integrating rating scores and lexicon analysis, where reviews with ratings of 4–5 or dominant positive words are classified as positive, while reviews with ratings of 1–2 or dominant negative words are classified as negative; neutral reviews are excluded. Sentiment classification is carried out using Naive Bayes and Random Forest algorithms. Model performance is evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results show that both models perform well, with Random Forest achieving better performance than Naive Bayes. This study provides useful insights for improving e-commerce service quality based on user feedback.

Abstract

Rural-urban labor migration serves as a pivotal driver of local development transformation in developing countries, encapsulating demographic shifts and reshaping economic structures via remittances. This study investigates demographic factors influencing migration patterns in Malang Regency, East Java, Indonesia, and their ramifications for sustainable rural-urban development, emphasizing remittances as a key economic contribution metric. A mixed-methods design was employed, gathering data from migrant workers across five high-migration subdistricts through purposive sampling, with questionnaires facilitating quantitative analysis and in-depth interviews providing qualitative depth. Multinomial logistic regression evaluated settlement intentions, multiple linear regression examined income determinants, and descriptive statistics delineated migrant profiles. Findings reveal that age, education, and marital status exert significant negative effects on settlement intentions, whereas education positively impacts income; factors such as family responsibilities and work tenure proved insignificant. Descriptively, most migrants exhibit no settlement intent, characterized by low education levels, productive ages, and strong origin asset ties, thereby reinforcing circular migration dynamics. These outcomes underscore migration's transient character aimed at enhancing family welfare, highlighting the imperative for policies promoting rural education investments, informal sector formalization, and remittance optimization to cultivate equitable, inclusive development while averting long-term depopulation risks.
