Abstract

This research focuses on literacy activities carried out at the school and the character building of school students with their literacy programs. Related to this research, the authors used mixed methods research, in which this study used two approaches, namely qualitative and quantitative. In this study, the naturalistic method will be used, where this method will be carried out in natural conditions (natural settings) by making thorough observations on a certain background without changing it one bit. During this research process, there will be no conditions that are altered or engineered in the slightest; everything is natural and occurs naturally in the field. . It was the director of education and the founder of the school who were the originators of the literacy programs that have been running so far in schools. The truth is that children at school are not far from what is called literacy; they will always meet literacy. Literacy in their environment greatly influences the child's mindset and personality; therefore, the school-encouraged literacy program is one of the leading programs both in increasing literacy levels, which basically cover 4 language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), as well as in forming superior character, personality, attitude, and behavior as well.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how using group work techniques has increased student learning activity. Class action research is the approach employed in this study. Planning, carrying out, observing, and reflecting are the four stages of this process. This study was carried out between March and May with participants in classes V. The study was done over the course of two cycles, with two meetings per cycle. The findings indicated that student learning activity increased with each cycle. This is demonstrated by the results of the students that participated in cycle I, where five students achieved a percentage of 15.62% and an average student learning activity of 62.19%. As opposed to cycle II, where 28 (twenty eight) students were active, the average student learning activity was 88.92% and the percentage of active students was 87.50%. In light of the average percentage of active students meeting the desired action intervention results, i.e. 80%, it can be stated that the implementation of the group work approach can boost the activeness of student learning. Increased student learning activity was accompanied by successful learning outcomes, namely 83.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the inquiry learning model on students' mathematics learning outcomes, the effect of students' cognitive styles on students' mathematics achievement, and the effect of the interaction between the use of learning models and students' cognitive styles on students' mathematics achievement in class VIII (Eight) of SMP Negeri 6 Salatiga for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research was conducted using a quasi-experimental research method by applying a 2 × 2 factorial design. The study population was students of SMP Negeri 6 Salatiga Regency Class VIII even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The research sample consisted of 2 experimental classes and 1 control class. Data collection was carried out using two kinds of instruments, namely the Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) instrument to measure students' cognitive styles and the instrument to test students' mathematics learning outcomes in the form of essays. The statistical test used is to use a two-way ANOVA to see the effect of learning models and the influence of cognitive style on mathematics achievement as well as the interaction between learning models and students' cognitive styles on students' mathematics achievement. Further testing uses the t test to see differences in student learning outcomes based on students' cognitive styles. The results of data analysis and statistical tests showed that the inquiry learning model had an effect on mathematics achievement, students' cognitive styles had an effect on mathematics learning outcomes, there was no interaction between learning models and cognitive styles on students' mathematics achievement. Based on the results of this research, it is suggested to teachers, especially mathematics teachers, that the application of the inquiry learning model be developed as an innovation in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This type of research is research and development. The development model in this research is the 4-D model which consists of four development stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The test subjects of this module were seventh grade students of MTs Al Khairaat Tavanjuka. This research was limited to MTs that have used the revised edition of the 2013 curriculum. The school is MTs Alkhairaat Tavanjuka. The data obtained from the trial were in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. The instruments used to collect data were validated by experts who understood them first. The instruments used consisted of interview sheets, student analysis questionnaires, curriculum analysis questionnaires, concept analysis questionnaires, product validation sheets, e-module practicality sheets, student activity observation sheets, writing performance tests, writing performance test assessment rubrics, and e-module distribution questionnaires. The e-module development process that has been carried out includes four stages, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The development process produced a product in the form of e-modules for learning to write inquiry learning-based observation report texts that are valid, practical, and effective. The feasibility aspects of content, language, presentation, and graphics can be reviewed from the validity of this learning e-module with an e-module validity value of 94.62 with a very valid category.
