Abstract

In classroom learning, students need mathematical cognitive flexibility to be able to solve mathematical problems with the various ideas they express. To solve the problems, they must be able to grasp the problem, see it from various points of view, and should not be rigid thinking with one solving method. In fact, the students still lack the ability to think flexibly in solving math problems. This exploration is necessary to determine how to encourage the students’ creative problem-solving. The purposive sampling technique is used to select two out of 150 of 4th Grade students who have taken an initial test to measure their creative abilities. Problem-solving worksheet, think-aloud records, and interviews are used as data collection instruments. Then, the data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The research instrument is validated by two professors of mathematics. Through a series of revisions based on expert advice, the validity results are said to be feasible for use. To check for reliability, field tests are tested on 10 students who meet the criteria as research subjects. Analysis results indicate that cognitive abilities involve cognitive processes in the form of the ability to assess process by looking for patterns of numbers, mentally compute, estimate, and assess the rationality or reasonableness of calculation results. Other findings on students' cognitive processes in solving math problems include looking for number patterns, carrying out trial-and-error (also called guess-andcheck), and drawing diagrams. Students with cognitive flexibility tend to use trial-and-error when solving mathematical problems.

Abstract

Desa Grogol adalah salah satu desa yang berada pada wilayah kecamatan Grogol kabupaten Kediri. Dengan munculnya dampak pandemic Virus Corona yang masuk ke Indonesia terutama di desa Grogol banyak sekali masyarakat yang mengeluhkan tentang ekonomi keluarganya masing-masing. Karena banyak sekali keluhan keluhan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat Desa Grogol tersebut,terutama masalah bantuan yang saat ini sangat diharapkan oleh masyarakat banyak. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini banyak memberikan penguatan-penguatan mental dengan memberikan penjelasan tentang apa itu Covid-19 dan bagaimana cara penularan dan pencegahanya dari edukasi tersebut masyarakat akan lebih memahami dan tidak panic terlebih dahulu sehingga imunitas masyarakat cenderung lebih stabil dalam menghadapi pandemic virus covid-19 tersebut.selain itu juga ada sedikit pemberian bantuan sosial kepada masyarakat desa grogol berupa bantuan sembako dan alat APD standard yaitu Masker,Hand sanitayser sehingga dengan adanya bantuan tersebut sedikit meringankan beban masyarakat desa Grogol.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan metode read aloud berbantuan flashcard untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas I sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, dokumentasi dan tes. Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu Guru kelas I beserta siswa kelas I SD yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Hasil penelitian dari penelitian ini pada siklus I diketahui siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 15 siswa atau 47% sedangkan yang belum tuntas sebanyak 17 siswa atau 53% dari 32 siswa yang mengikuti proses pembelajaran di kelas dengan jumlah rata-rata pada siklus I sebesar 59,25%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode read aloud berbantuan flashcard untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan di kelas I belum berhasil. Sedangkan pada siklus II siswa yang mencapai kriteria tuntas sebanyak 26 siswa atau 81% sedangkan yang yang belum tuntas sebanyak 6 siswa atau 19% dari jumlah keseluruhan 32 siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas dengan jumlah rata-rata pada siklus II sebesar 72,00%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode read aloud berbantuan flashcard dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas I sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The Role of Student Team Heroic Leadership Strategy: Mathematical Communication of Middle-School Students. Objectives: In this article, we focus on how to improve students’ mathematical communication in building effective group discussions using the student team's heroic leadership strategy. Methods: This type of research is Classroom Action Research, which was held in 2 cycles. The research subjects were 16 seventh-grade students (six boys and ten girls). Findings: The findings indicated that by implementing the Student Team Heroic Leadership learning strategy, students’ mathematical communication improved significantly. This finding is confirmed by the increase in the average score on students’ communication tests from 76% in cycle I to 96% in cycle II. The completeness criteria of the students’ mathematical communication exam results also progressed from the first to the second cycle. Other data indicate that students concealed information they did not comprehend during the learning process, making it harder for the teacher to assess their comprehension of the mathematical concepts provided. Conclusion: The study’s findings indicate that after using the Student Team Heroic Leadership learning strategy, students’ mathematics communication skills improved dramatically. As suggested, additional research should be able to examine ways to boost students’ self-confidence, particularly while displaying confusion when doing mathematical tasks provided by the teacher.

Abstract

This systematic literature review (SLR) examines the effectiveness of the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model in enhancing student learning outcomes, motivation, and social skills across various educational levels and subjects. Guided by the PRISMA protocol, the study analyzed 35 peer-reviewed articles published between 2019 and 2024. Findings reveal that STAD significantly improves academic performance, collaboration, and engagement, particularly for lower-achieving students, by fostering interactive, student-centered learning environments. The integration of supplementary media (e.g., videos, games) further amplifies these benefits. Compared to conventional methods, STAD demonstrates superior outcomes in promoting critical thinking and active participation. The study highlights STAD’s alignment with 21st-century educational demands, emphasizing its adaptability to diverse subjects, including mathematics, science, and social studies. However, gaps remain in understanding its long-term efficacy, cross-cultural applicability, and integration with emerging technologies like AI and VR. The research underscores the need for future studies to explore these dimensions, ensuring STAD’s relevance in modern, technology-driven classrooms. Implications suggest that educators and policymakers should consider STAD as a viable strategy to enhance collaborative learning, inclusivity, and skill development, ultimately contributing to higher-quality education systems.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal how financial literacy, financial management, and lifestyle variables affect the financial readiness of Gen Z. Using a case study of students in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. Data were collected quantitatively through questionnaires distributed to 100 students. This study analyzed data using multiple linear regression analysis methods, validity tests, reliability tests, and classical assumption tests. The study’s results emphasized that the financial literacy and financial management of Generation Z significantly affect financial readiness with significance values of 0.014 and 0.001, respectively. In contrast, lifestyle variables do not affect financial readiness, with a significance value of 0.209. At the same time, three factors of financial literacy, financial management, and lifestyle affect Gen Z’s financial readiness in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. Of the three variables, 32.1% contribute to financial readiness. These results indicate that Gen Z in this region is overall more financially prepared, although not all variables have individual effects.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap bagaimana variabel literasi keuangan, pengelolaan keuangan, dan gaya hidup memengaruhi kesiapan finansial Gen Z. Dengan menggunakan studi kasus mahasiswa di Surabaya dan Sidoarjo, data dikumpulkan secara kuantitatif melalui penyebaran kuesioner ke 100 mahasiswa. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis regresi linier berganda, uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, dan uji asumsi klasik. Hasil penelitian menekankan jika literasi keuangan dan pengelolaan keuangan generasi Z berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesiapan finansial dengan nilai signifikansi masing-masing sebesar 0,014 dan 0,001. Sebaliknya, variable gaya hidup tidak berpengaruh terhadap kesiapan finansial dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.209.  Pada saat yang sama, tiga faktor literasi keuangan, pengelolaan keuangan dan gaya hidup memengaruhi kesiapan finansial Gen Z di Surabaya dan Sidoarjo. Dari ketiga variabel tersebut, 32,1% memberikan kontribusi terhadap kesiapan finansial. Hasil-hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa Gen Z di wilayah ini secara keseluruhan lebih siap secara finansial, meskipun tidak semua variabel memiliki efek individual.

Abstract

Sebagai kaum beragama Islam perlunya untuk mengamalkan Al Quran sebagai pedoman hidup. Kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an tidak hanya untuk di dunia saja, tetapi juga untuk bekal di akhirat kelak. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengajaran kepada anak-anak membaca Al-Qur’an dan memberikan bekal dasar bagi anak-anak agar mampu membca Al-Qur’an dengan baik dan benar sesuai dengan kaidah ilmu tajwid dan juga menanamkan nilai-nilai keislaman kepada anak-anak ,serta mampu memahami dasar-dasar dinul Islam. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode deskriptif analisis, dengan lokasi pengabdian ditetapkan secara sengaja yaitu dipilih desa Coppo Tompong, Kecamatan Mandalle, Kabupaten Pangkajene Kepulauan, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Setalah dilaksanakanya kegiatan ini, anak-anak sudah mulai bisa membaca dan mengenali dengan baik dan benar huru-huruf dalam Al-Qur’an serta lebih lancar dalam membaca Al-Qur’an. Selain mampu meningkatkan kemampuan anak membaca dan mengenali dengan baik huruf-hruf dalam Al Quran, temuan lain juga tampak yaitu membantu para orang tua atau guru mengaji yang kewalahan dalam mengajari anak-anknya dalam membaca Al-Qur’an. Bimbingan belajar membaca Al-Qur’an dapat membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dialami anak-anak selama belajar membaca Al-Qur’an

Abstract

This study examines the difficulties in learning mathematics experienced by fifth grade students of MI Wahid Hasyim. The main objective is to identify the forms of difficulties and the factors causing them. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through interviews, observations, written tests, and document studies. The research sample involved 22 students (10 males and 12 females) from fifth grade of MI Wahid Hasyim Pakis Malang. Data analysis was carried out in three stages: data reduction, presentation of results, and verification of conclusions. The research findings show that most students have not met the KKM (Minimum Completion Criteria), with the main obstacles including difficulty in understanding questions, weak mastery of mathematical concepts, inappropriate use of formulas and symbols, and limitations in problem-solving steps. The causes of these difficulties come from two aspects, namely internal factors (such as less active learning attitudes, intelligence levels, low motivation, and lack of interest in learning) and external factors (including family economic conditions, family relationship dynamics, curriculum policies, availability of learning media, school facilities, and the influence of the social environment). ABSTRAKPenelitian ini mengkaji kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami siswa kelas V MI Wahid Hasyim. Tujuan utamanya adalah mengidentifikasi bentuk kesulitan serta faktor penyebabnya. Metode yang digunakan bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, tes tertulis, dan studi dokumen. Sampel penelitian melibatkan 22 siswa (10 laki-laki dan 12 perempuan) dari kelas V MI Wahid Hasyim Pakis Malang. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahap: reduksi data, penyajian hasil, dan verifikasi kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa belum memenuhi KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum), dengan hambatan utama meliputi kesulitan memahami soal, lemahnya penguasaan konsep matematika, penggunaan rumus dan simbol yang tidak tepat, serta keterbatasan dalam langkah penyelesaian masalah. Penyebab kesulitan ini berasal dari dua aspek, yaitu faktor internal (seperti sikap belajar kurang aktif, tingkat kecerdasan, motivasi rendah, dan kurangnya minat belajar) dan faktor eksternal (termasuk kondisi ekonomi keluarga, dinamika hubungan keluarga, kebijakan kurikulum, ketersediaan media pembelajaran, fasilitas sekolah, serta pengaruh lingkungan sosial).

Abstract

This study aimed to optimize the pedagogical knowledge and digital skills of elementary school teachers through a Digital Teaching Material (DTM) mentoring program. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this implementation study was conducted in three stages: needs identification, training and mentoring, and evaluation of results. The research subjects were elementary school teachers selected based on their active program involvement. Results showed significant improvements in technological mastery (26% to 87%), creativity in preparing DTMs (21% to 92%), and student participation (53% to 89%). Mentoring served as effective scaffolding to enhance teachers’ confidence in using technology. Constraints included limited infrastructure and the need for advanced training. This study recommends a sustainable mentoring model to systematically accelerate technology integration in basic education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the efforts made by the ustadzah (female Islamic teacher) in overcoming the problems that arise during the process of learning the Tajwid Yanbu’a book in the Sifir C female class at Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadiin. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The data were analyzed descriptively through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the findings regarding the ustadzah’s efforts in addressing the challenges faced by students in the process of learning the Tajwid Yanbu’a book, it can be concluded that the ustadzah plays a highly central and strategic role in ensuring the success of the learning process using the Yanbu’a method, particularly in overcoming various obstacles encountered by the students. The ustadzah functions not only as a teacher who delivers the material in a varied and adaptive manner, but also as a mentor who personally and collectively guides students in dealing with learning difficulties, and as a motivator who fosters enthusiasm and self-confidence through psychological and spiritual approaches. These efforts are carried out by prioritizing appropriate methods, effective communication, and attention to the emotional and religious development of the students, thereby making the learning process more optimal despite challenges such as differences in students’ basic abilities, limited facilities, and the intensity of pesantren activities. With such a comprehensive role, the ustadzah has succeeded in creating a conducive and transformative learning atmosphere, which not only enhances the students’ Qur’anic reading skills with proper tajwid, but also shapes their character and personality holistically in accordance with Islamic educational values.
