Abstract

This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a Posttest Only Control Group Design. The research population consisted of all 74 tenth-grade students of UPT SMA Negeri 4 Sidrap, and the sampling technique used was total sampling, thereby including the entire population as the sample. The research instruments were a 20-item multiple-choice objective test and a questionnaire. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental group using the Socrative application was 84.72, while the control group using conventional tests obtained an average score of 54.72. Thus, the use of the Socrative application proved effective in improving the Indonesian language learning outcomes of the tenth-grade students at UPT SMA Negeri 4 Sidrap.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of a digital learning method based on a Learning Management System (LMS) in improving Indonesian language literacy among students at SMP Muhammadiyah Rappang. The research is grounded in the increasing need for technology-enhanced learning that supports literacy development in the digital era. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design was employed. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental group that received instruction through the LMS and a control group taught using conventional methods. Data were collected through validated reading and writing literacy tests and analyzed using a t-test to determine significant differences between groups. The findings indicate that students in the LMS-based class showed higher gains in literacy skills compared to those in the traditional class. Key LMS features—structured materials, multimedia resources, discussion forums, and automated assessment—contributed to increased motivation, independent learning, and text comprehension. These results demonstrate that LMS-based digital learning is effective in enhancing literacy competencies among junior high school students. The study recommends the continuous integration of LMS platforms and the development of more diverse digital learning content for Indonesian language instruction.

Abstract

This study explores how collaborative learning activities facilitated by university students contribute to the development of student character at SMP Muhammadiyah Pangsid. Character education has become an essential component of Indonesia’s educational goals, emphasizing values such as responsibility, cooperation, discipline, and respect. However, schools often face challenges in implementing character-building programs effectively, particularly when learning environments rely heavily on teacher-centered instruction. Using a qualitative descriptive design, this research investigates the role of university students assisting in the school’s learning process and how their involvement supports character formation among junior high school students. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers and university student assistants, and documentation of classroom activities. The findings show that collaborative learning strategies introduced by university students—such as group problem-solving, peer discussion, and project-based tasks—significantly encouraged students to practice teamwork, communication, empathy, and mutual respect. These interactions created a more supportive and participatory classroom environment, allowing students to engage more actively and develop positive behaviors. Teachers indicated that the presence of university students also enhanced students’ motivation and provided additional role models who reinforced character values through daily classroom engagement. Overall, the study demonstrates that collaborative learning facilitated through university–school partnerships can strengthen character formation in junior high school learners. The involvement of university students not only enriches instructional practices but also supports the school’s efforts to cultivate essential character traits. This research highlights the importance of experiential, interactive, and community-based approaches in promoting character education in Indonesian schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of literature learning in enhancing students’ literary appreciation at SMP Negeri 4 Panca Rijang. The research involved a sample of 30 eighth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. A descriptive qualitative design was employed to examine how literature learning strategies—such as reading activities, guided discussions, and appreciation tasks—contributed to students’ understanding and emotional engagement with literary texts. Data were collected through classroom observations, student worksheets, and interviews, then analyzed through thematic coding. The findings indicate that the use of interactive literature learning methods significantly supports students’ ability to identify intrinsic elements, interpret meanings, and express personal responses to stories and poems. Furthermore, students demonstrated increased motivation and confidence in appreciating literary works after the implementation of structured learning steps. The study concludes that literature learning, when systematically planned and delivered, can effectively improve students’ literary appreciation at the junior secondary school level

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan modul pembelajaran IPA berbasis flipbook digital yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dalam meningkatkan minat dan prestasi belajar siswa di daerah pedesaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-Experimental melalui rancangan One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 3 Pitu Riase, dengan sampel sebanyak 60 siswa kelas VII yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data terdiri dari nilai UTS (pre-test) dan UAS (post-test) untuk mengukur prestasi belajar, serta angket berskala Likert untuk mengukur minat belajar. Data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan paired sample T-Test dan uji N-Gain melalui perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan secara statistik (p < 0,05) pada minat belajar (rata-rata meningkat dari 54,06 menjadi 63,13) dan prestasi belajar (89,65 menjadi 90,45) setelah intervensi. Analisis N-Gain menunjukkan efektivitas pada kategori rendah, yang disebabkan oleh fenomena ceiling effect pada prestasi belajar akibat tingginya nilai baseline siswa. Kesimpulannya, modul flipbook digital berbasis kearifan lokal merupakan solusi teknologi tepat guna yang efektif untuk memelihara prestasi akademik unggul dan memicu ketertarikan belajar siswa di wilayah dengan keterbatasan infrastruktur digital

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand how using video animation affects learning outcomes for students in SMPN 2 Pancarijang. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of using video animation on the learning outcomes for IPA students in grade VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Pancarijang. The study uses a quantitative methodology with a true experimental design with a posttest-only control group design. 77 eighth-grade students from SMPN 2 Pancarijang made up the majority of the study's sample, which employed Cluster Random Sampling and included around 26 eighth-grade students. There are two variables in this essay: the use of video animation (variable bebas) and the results Students.data collection technique utilising documentation and tests. Data from the tests that were completed were then analysed using the t-test and the rumus mean. Based on the results of the data analysis, it is estimated that there are 78,4615 for the experimental group and 68,8462 for the control group. The independent sample t- test yielded Sig-2 tailed 0,784 > Sig-2 tailed 0,05.According to the results of the study, it can be concluded that the hypothesis (H1) that states that the use of video animation has a negative impact on the results of the study on students of Junior high School 2 Pancarijang "accepted" is true.

Abstract

Abstrak Rendahnya motivasi dan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris sering berdampak pada keaktifan kelas yang kurang optimal. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi siswa melalui pemanfaatan media digital interaktif pada pelaksanaan PLP II di SMP Negeri 1 Baranti. Program dilaksanakan selama rangkaian PLP II yang diawali dengan koordinasi dan penetapan kegiatan (mulai 1 Oktober 2025) serta observasi proses pembelajaran . Subjek kegiatan adalah siswa kelas VIII pada pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris Implementasi dilakukan melalui perencanaan perangkat ajar, penyajian materi, dan kegiatan latihan/evaluasi berbasis game tanya jawab menggunakan website Wordwall sebagai media interaktif Laporan Kegiatan PLP FKIP. Data diperoleh melalui observasi keterlibatan siswa selama pembelajaran, dokumentasi kegiatan, dan refleksi pelaksanaan. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik, siswa lebih antusias mengikuti aktivitas, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam menjawab/merespons meningkat; secara umum siswa tampak lebih aktif sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai Kegiatan ini merekomendasikan penggunaan media digital interaktif secara berkelanjutan sebagai alternatif strategi untuk membangun suasana belajar Bahasa Inggris yang lebih partisipatif.

Abstract

Keterampilan vocabulary dan reading merupakan fondasi penting dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di tingkat SMP, namun sering terkendala oleh keterbatasan kosakata, rendahnya pemahaman isi teks, dan kurangnya keterlibatan aktif siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan menerapkan Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media digital untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata dan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa di UPT SMP Negeri 2 Kulo. Pemanfaatan perangkat digital dinilai relevan karena sekolah telah menjalankan aktivitas pembelajaran berbasis perangkat seperti praktik chromebook pada mata pelajaran informatika. Pelaksanaan program dilakukan melalui (1) identifikasi kebutuhan dan penyusunan perangkat ajar, (2) pendampingan guru terkait sintaks PBL dan pemilihan media digital, (3) implementasi PBL pada materi reading dengan masalah kontekstual, serta (4) evaluasi hasil dan refleksi. Tahapan PBL meliputi orientasi masalah, pengorganisasian belajar, investigasi kelompok, penyusunan/presentasi solusi, dan evaluasi proses. Media digital yang digunakan mencakup teks bacaan digital, kuis interaktif, lembar kerja digital, serta glosarium/flashcard digital untuk penguatan kosakata. Keberhasilan program diukur melalui pretest–posttest vocabulary dan reading, observasi keterlibatan siswa, serta angket respons siswa dan guru. Diharapkan program ini menghasilkan peningkatan skor vocabulary dan reading, meningkatnya partisipasi belajar, serta tersedianya perangkat ajar dan bank media digital yang dapat digunakan berkelanjutan di sekolah.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) dalam pembelajaran menjadi salah satu strategi untuk menciptakan kelas yang lebih interaktif dan mendorong keterlibatan belajar siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan melakukan pendampingan pembelajaran berbasis TIK melalui penggunaan media digital interaktif pada pelaksanaan PLP II di UPT SMP Negeri 1 Pangsid. Program dilaksanakan melalui tahapan koordinasi dengan pihak sekolah dan guru pamong, observasi kebutuhan dan kondisi kelas, perencanaan perangkat ajar, serta implementasi pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan media digital interaktif. Media yang digunakan berupa aktivitas kuis/latihan berbasis gim tanya jawab menggunakan platform digital interaktif yang disesuaikan dengan materi dan karakteristik siswa. Data kegiatan diperoleh melalui observasi keterlibatan siswa selama proses pembelajaran, dokumentasi kegiatan, dan refleksi pelaksanaan bersama guru pamong. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik, siswa lebih antusias mengikuti kegiatan, serta partisipasi siswa meningkat terutama dalam merespons pertanyaan, menyelesaikan latihan, dan terlibat dalam diskusi kelas. Dengan demikian, pendampingan pembelajaran berbasis TIK melalui media digital interaktif efektif mendukung terciptanya suasana belajar yang aktif dan partisipatif. Kegiatan ini merekomendasikan penerapan media digital interaktif secara berkelanjutan sebagai alternatif inovasi pembelajaran di sekolah.
