Abstract

This research aimed to develop an interactive digital learning medium entitled Explore C-Play (English Practice, Lower Secondary Assessment with Cambridge Playful Learning) based on e-worksheet for international students at Aqobah International School. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of the study were lower secondary international students, while the data were collected through needs analysis, expert validation, interviews, and questionnaires. The developed product integrates gamebased activities using the LiveWorksheets platform to support four English skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, in accordance with the Cambridge Curriculum and Playful Learning approach. The results of the study indicated that Explore C-Play is feasible and effective as a learning medium. Material expert validation reached 93%, categorized as excellent, while media expert validation obtained 81%, categorized as very good. In addition, students’ responses showed a very positive perception with an average score of 98%, indicating high motivation, engagement, and interest in learning English through the developed e-worksheet. These findings demonstrate that game-based digital worksheets can enhance students’ participation and understanding in English learning. Therefore, Explore C-Play can be used as an effective supporting learning medium for international lower secondary students implementing the Cambridge Curriculum.

Abstract

Pada masa sekarang kreatifitas dan inovasi para pemuda sangat di harapkan demi kemajuan perekonomian Negara. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu para pemuda karang taruna dalam memanfaatkan limbah rumah tangga di lingkungan sekitar menjadi barang yang berguna dan mempunyai nilai jual. Kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan daur ulang minyak jelantah menjadi lilin aromaterapi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa ceramah, diskusi serta pelatihan intensif. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan memacu semnagt para pemuda dalam berkreatifitas dan berwirausaha.

Abstract

The issue of low environmental awareness among elementary school students often manifests in their indifference toward school gardens and waste management, which reflects limited ecological literacy and weak practical skills in sustainable living. This community service program focused on implementing a Mini Gardening Class designed to foster creativity, responsibility, and environmental care among sixth grade students at an Islamic elementary school. The objective was to integrate gardening activities as both an educational tool and a life skills training program that nurtures environmental awareness and simple entrepreneurship in agriculture. The method applied was service learning, combining direct practice, participatory learning, and reflection to strengthen character and knowledge. Students were guided through activities such as preparing organic media from banana stems, husks, and compost, creating liquid fertilizer from rice water, planting short-harvest vegetables, and maintaining their growth through daily care. The strategy emphasized experiential learning, collaborative teamwork, and integration with science and character education subjects. The results showed a significant increase in students’ knowledge and skills in gardening, higher enthusiasm for outdoor learning, and improved responsibility in maintaining the school garden. Furthermore, the program produced practical outputs including a gardening manual, sustainable planting media, and organic fertilizer that could be replicated by the wider community. This activity successfully transformed idle school land into a productive and educational space, while also instilling values of sustainability, cooperation, and independence. It is expected that the Mini Gardening Class can serve as a sustainable model of environmental education and food self-sufficiency in schools.

Abstract

Young people's interest in calligraphy tends to decline due to the dominance of modern digital visual culture, which is more practical and instantaneous. This has an impact on the suboptimal integration of artistic and religious values in community activities. The integration of art and religion can strengthen cultural identity while also serving as a contextual medium for preaching. The community service team conducted calligraphy training for TPQ teachers with the aim of increasing the interest of teachers and students in calligraphy. The target of this activity was TPQ teachers in Mentoro Village, Sumobito District. This training provided additional insight and skills to TPQ teachers in Mentoro Village regarding the art of calligraphy, while also fostering motivation to develop Islamic art in the educational environment. Despite limitations in time and resources, this activity still had a positive impact in terms of education, religion, and society. TPQ teachers showed great enthusiasm during the activity, so it is hoped that the knowledge gained can be passed on to students as a form of program continuity. Thus, this calligraphy training activity is the first step in strengthening the integration of art and religious values in Mentoro Village

Abstract

ABSTRACT Palugada is practice and learn using grammar learning media. This study aims to design a Grammar Learning Media that is focused on beginner students in learning English at school. The research method used is the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, this model consists of five parts, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. There are two media feasibility validations for this product. The first is material validation, and the second is media validation. Both have been validated by their respective expert validators before being tested on students. Data collection was done by using a questionnaire. The results of the implementation are in the form of an assessment of student work and media suggestions. The results of the implementation show that the average acquisition percentage of the assessment is 97.77% in the 'very good' category. So, based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of grammar learning media is suitable for helping eighth grade student. KEYWORDS: Palugada, Learning media, Beginner Students ABSTRAK Palugada adalah latihan dan pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran grammar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang Media Pembelajaran Grammar yang difokuskan pada siswa pemula dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE, model ini terdiri dari lima bagian yaitu analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Ada dua validasi kelayakan media untuk produk ini. Yang pertama adalah validasi materi, dan yang kedua adalah validasi media. Keduanya telah divalidasi oleh validator ahli masing-masing sebelum diujikan pada siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil implementasi berupa penilaian karya siswa dan saran media. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata perolehan persentase penilaian adalah 97,77% dengan kategori sangat baik. Jadi, berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media pembelajaran grammar cocok untuk membantu siswa kelas VIII. KATAKUNCI: Palugada, Learning media, Beginner students

Abstract

The research aimed to develop a formative assessment using Quizizz to assess English reading skills. The researcher used descriptive text as material and the questions that were created were 50 in multiple-choice types assessment. The subjects of this study were 17 students of the first grade of SMK Pendidikan Megaluh. The research method was the Research and Development (R&D) method that adopted the ADDIE model that consisted of five procedures:  Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. From those steps, this research was validated by 4 experts, 2 media experts, and 2 media experts (expert validation). As follows: 1). The results of media validation were 4,5 (better category), 2). The result of material validation was 4,4 (better category), The research got data after implementation as follows: 1). The result of the validity test is invalid, 2). The result of the reliability test used Kuder-Richardson /KR-20 was 0,547 (medium reliability), 3). The result of the difficulty test was 4 in the middle category and 21 in the easier category, 4). The result of the discriminating power test was 1 in the lower category, 12 in the low category, 9 moderate category, and 3 in the good category. 5). The student’s response questionnaire was 86% (better category). Based on the research, the researcher concluded that Quizizz deserved to be used as an assessment instrument because the product was interesting and the student’s response was enthusiastic. Some things that need to be highlighted are the need for revision of the test.

Abstract

Education is important for the children of the nation as it plays a crucial role in shaping their future. English is an international language and one of the subjects taught in schools. Mastery of English involves four essential skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Among these, listening is a critical skill that must be mastered to avoid misunderstandings during communication with English speakers.To address this need, researchers developed a learning medium to help students improve their English language skills. The approach used in this research was Research and Development (R&D). R&D activities are systematic and iterative, forming what is commonly known as the "research and development cycle." The ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) was applied to develop a learning medium based on a needs analysis.The analysis revealed that Listening Fun (LF) Media was necessary for students to enhance their listening skills. The results of media validation yielded scores of 84% and 96%, indicating that LF Media was suitable for use by students. Similarly, material validation results showed scores of 79% and 83%, further supporting the effectiveness of LF Media. The validation categories for both media and materials were classified as "Very Good." Based on these findings, it was concluded that LF Media is ready to be tested and implemented for student learning.

Abstract

Islamic Boarding Schools have an important role in the formation of Islamic leadership and in producing graduate students as faithful people, pious, have noble morals, and follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Especially able to emulate and apply the leadership of the Prophet SAW which prioritizes leadership theory based on the values ​​of Shiddiq, Tabligh, Amanah, and Fathanah. This study aims to find out the learning strategies applied at the Kalaga Al-Kamal Islamic Boarding School Denanyar Jombang, the important role of boarding schools in forming students in Islamic leadership so that they can lead, direct, train, organize well to achieve the planned goals based on the values ​​of the Al-Quran and Sunnah, and analyze the factors, namely supporting and inhibiting factors that influence effective leadership at the Kalaga Al-Kamal Islamic Boarding School Denanyar Jombang. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The types and methods used are qualitative methods using data collection interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study indicated that the leadership of the Kalaga Al-Kamal Islamic Boarding School Denanyar Jombang and teachers in guiding and providing knowledge were very important for students on how to become competent, responsible, forward-looking students, inspire many people, always were trustworthy, honest, and humble.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to develop and validate interactive learning media based on Google Sites for teaching Sunnah Prayers (Sholat Sunnah) to eighth-grade students. Methodology/Approach: The development follows the systematic stages of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model, with validation limited to expert assessment by 2 media experts and 2 Islamic Religious Education material experts. The validity and feasibility of the media were tested through structured expert evaluation using a 5-point Likert scale. Findings: The validation results from media experts showed a score of 86% (Feasible category), while the assessment from material experts obtained 98% (Very Feasible category). The developed media successfully integrates multimedia elements including text, images, videos, and interactive quizzes that are easily accessible to students. Practical Implications: The learning media is declared feasible for use in PAI instruction. However, classroom implementation stages have not yet been conducted; evaluation consists of revisions based on expert feedback. Originality/Value: This digital innovation offers a specific and structured solution for teaching Sunnah Prayers to Grade VIII students, potentially improving student motivation, understanding, and learning independence in Islamic Religious Education while addressing modern educational challenges.

Abstract

Vocabulary mastery is fundamental to English language learning because it supports effective communication across listening, speaking, reading, and writing; however, many junior high school students experience difficulties acquiring vocabulary because of limited exposure to authentic language use and the continued predominance of conventional instructional practices. This study aimed to examine the effect of the HelloTalk application on students’ vocabulary mastery and explore students’ and their teacher’s perceptions of its implementation in English language learning. A mixed-methods approach with a convergent parallel design was employed, involving 32 seventh-grade students and one English teacher at SMPN 1 Prambon. Quantitative data were collected through vocabulary pretests and posttests and analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics, whereas qualitative data were obtained through questionnaires, interviews, and classroom observations and analysed through data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. The findings showed that the students’ mean vocabulary score increased from 78.8 on the pretest to 92.3 on the posttest, demonstrating improved vocabulary mastery following the implementation of HelloTalk. The qualitative findings further revealed positive perceptions among the students and teacher, particularly regarding the application’s interactive features, ease of use, opportunities for authentic communication, and contribution to students’ motivation and confidence in learning English. The study concludes that HelloTalk can serve as an effective mobile-assisted language learning application for enhancing vocabulary mastery and facilitating more interactive, authentic, and learner-centred English instruction. These findings contribute empirical evidence regarding the pedagogical value of mobile-assisted language learning and provide practical implications for English teachers seeking to integrate communication-based digital applications into vocabulary instruction.
