Abstract

This research aims to analyze the flow of supply chain and added value of rubber and determined the priority of supply chain strategies at PT. Andalas Agrolestari. This study was conducted at PT. Andalas Agrolestari Kuantan Singingi District Riau Province. The research methods used were qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. The respondents in this study consisted 3 farmers, 2 collectors, 3 employees of PT. Andalas Agrolestari, 2 civil servants of Agriculture Department, and Singingi sub-district head. This research showed the supply chain of rubber at PT. Andalas Agrolestari in Kuantan Singingi included farmers, collectors, PT. Andalas Agrolestari to consumers. Value added farmer was 1,037 IDR and included in the value added ratio of 55% (high category), collector was 448 IDR with the value added ratio of  5% (low category), and PT Andalas Agrolestari was 4,223 IDR with the value added ratio of  30% (medium category). The internal factor evaluation matrix has a total score of 2.5440, while the external factor evaluation matrix has a total score of 2.4128. The results of the supply chain management strategyat PT. Andalas Agrolestari with the AHP method showed that the chosen quantity with the weight of 0.279 and the chosen main alternative is to expand thecrumb rubber’s marketing and maximize the absorption of raw material with the weight of 0.163.Keywords : Rubber, Supply Chain, Added Value, SWOT, Analytical Hierarchy Process

Abstract

Lempuk durian was a food processed durian fruit that has been popular among the urban community pekanbaru. The number of lempuk durianproducts circulating among the public and the market town of Pekanbaru create different characteristics of each others.This study was conducted to determine the position sensory attributes of the five types of lempuk durianproducts of consumer preferences. This research was done by using internal and external preference mapping. Samples of this study was five commercial products on the market in Pekanbaru. Sensory analysis was done using hedonic and descriptive test involving students of Riau University as a sample of respondents. Sensory attributes were color, elasticity, oily, rancidity, durian aroma, caramel aroma, durian flavor, sweetness and caramel flavor. The results of hedonic test were analysed using Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC) and the result descriptive test were analysed using Principle Component Analysis (PCA). The conclusion of this research was the best of lempuk durianwas Asli Bengkalis.   Keywords: consumer passions, consumer mapping, sensory attributes, lempuk durian.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the position of the product and the best sponge kemojo attributes from various kinds of sponge kemojo are used, such sponge Kemojo Cik Puan, sponge Kemojo Khadizah, sponge Kemojo Mega Rasa, sponge Kemojo Kembang Sari, sponge Kemojo Insan Sukses, sponge Kemojo Helmi, sponge Kemojo AL-Mahdi. To determine the level of consumer preference to a product. In addition there was still a lack of effort in developing products towards the manufacturer at this time. This research was conducted by mapping methods of internal and external preferences with objects of eight different product types. Sensory analysis used were hedonic and descriptive test. The results of cluster analysis of hedonic test and the main component analysis of the descriptive test were then analyzed by using the preference mapping technique, with the sensory attributes used in sponge kemojo products taste pandanus, sweetness, burning, testeful, green color, aroma of eggs, caramel, tenderness in the mouth, legit, vacancy rate, subtlety of texture. From the results of the analysis conducted, the productssponge sponge Cik Puan products and sponge Kembang Sari most favored by the panelists.Keyword:sponge kemojo, preference mapping.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze supply chain flows, marketing channels, marketing margins, marketing share, marketing efficiency and find out the most efficient marketing network for copra commodities in Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative including supply chain flow analysis and quantitative descriptive by calculating marketing margin, marketing share and marketing efficiency. Respondents in this study were 5 farmers, 3 collectors and 1 wholesaler. Respondents in this study were 5 farmers, 3 collectors and 1 wholesaler. The results showed that the copra supply chain in Harapan Tani Village, Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, exist 2 supply chain networks, network 1: farmers - collectors traders and network 2: farmers - collectors - wholesalers, and 3 streams managed, product flow, flow of money and flow of information. Network I, farmer’s have a marketing margin was6.066 IDR, the value of farmer shareis 66,73%, and the value of marketing efficiency is 23,72%.  Network II, farmer’s have a marketing margin was6.200 IDR, the value of farmer shareis 66,24%, and the value of marketing efficiency is 25,35%.  Collectors traders have a marketing margin of 4.867 IDR and the value of farmer shareis 73,50%. Keywords: copra, supply chain, marketing margin, marketing efficiency, marketingshare

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the viability of lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus acidophilus) encapsulation in the ice cream with the conditions of low temperature and pH 2. The research was carried out experimentally by using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications, namely: A0, A1, A2, and A3, respectively for alginate 0% (control), alginate 3 %, alginate 4 % and  alginate 5 % (v/v) culture of Lactobacillus acidophilus. Data were statistically analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) followed by DNMRT test at the 5% level. Results of this study indicated that the alginate concentration had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the survival of Lactobacillus acidophilus at 0 hour storage, freezing storage for 48 hours, pH 2 and texture of ice cream. The treatment of A3 (Alginate 5 %) resulted in viability Lactobacillus acidophilus on storage 0 hours (99.02%), frozen storage for 48 hours (79.32 %), and the condition of pH 2 (37.33%) was relatively better than others treatments. The best Sensory Evaluation obtained on treatment A0 where the ice cream was no sensation of gel beads and very soft texture. The whole assessment of it was on A0 treatment. Abstract

This study is aimed to obtain the shelf-life preservation of watery rose apple coated by an edible coating from cassava-peel starch. This research method used an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and four replications in order to obtain 16 experimental units. The treatments in this study were P0 = storage of watery rose apple for 0 days, P1 = storage of watery rose apple for 5 days, P2 = storage of watery rose apple for 10 days, and P3 = storage of watery rose apple for 15 days. The parameters observed in the edible coating were weight loss, vitamin C content, descriptive sensory tests, color and physical hardness.  Data were analyzed statistically using variance (ANOVA) and followed by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test(DNMRT) at level 5% level.  The selected treatment chosen was watery rose apple in treatment P2 with a weight loss of 3,46%, and vitamin C content of 1,00 mg/100 g,while descriptively have a score of 3,63 (red), hardness with a score of 2.97 (slightly hard).  Based on the regression analysis, physical hardness of watery rose apple could be maintained for up to 8,11 days of storage. Keywords: Watery rose apple, cassava peel starch, edible coating, shelf-life

Abstract

Bread’s industry have a good prospect in the future. One of many kind bread’s industry that old and eksist until now is bobo bread’s bakery. This business has producted since 1983 located on jalan kuras number 19 Kecamatan Senapelan Kelurahan Kampung Baru in Pekanbaru City. The analysis data use method descriptive quatitative by statistical product service solution (SPSS) version 17. Characteristic security product (permitted, higienis and safety to consume) negative relation and very real with customers address principle security product, it’s more important for customer. Characteristic of customers for income every month it’s real  with fasty attribute service, it’s mean that customers who have in the middle income priority fasty service and characteristic bill out of customers every buy bread it’s very real relation with the kind of taste and the kind of shape, it’s mean customers priority taste because the buy according to their desire. Abstract

Currently product soyghurt not as popular as yoghurt which first appeared in the middle of society and the market. This is possible because of differences in sensory characteristics soyghurt products that are less favored by consumers . In addition to , there is still a lack of effort in developing products manufacturer soyghurt direction preferred by konsumers.This study was conducted to determine the position of the sensory attributes of the seven types of products of yoghurt and soyghurt from the consumer preference. This research was carried out by using the internal and external preference mapping technique. The object of this research, were 7 types of samples from different products, which consists  3 types of products soygurt and 4 types of commercial yoghurt. Sensory analysis was performed hedonic test and descriptive test. Results of cluster analysis of hedonic test and principal component analysis of descriptive test were then analyzed using the technique of preference mapping. Sensory attributes choosen by the consumer in this study is a sweet taste, cheese aroma and smoothness and attributes that are most unpreferred by consumers is a sour taste and a strong smell of acid and followed by a bitter taste. Abstract

The aim of the research was to obtain the best combination treatment between ergosterol concentration and sugar concentration 250 g/l; Tween80 0,2%. Tween80 and ergosterol as surfactant and nutrition for Saccaromyces cerevisiae to produce ethanol on very high gravity fed batch fermentation from Nypa sap. The exploration research used four treatments with duplicate measurements. Treatments consist of E0 (ergosterol 0 mg/l), E1 (ergosterol 18 mg/l), E2 (ergosterol 24 mg/l) and E3 (ergosterol 30 mg/l). Observation was conducted every 24 hours to sugar concentration, ethanol concentration, amount of cell, and pH. The best combination treatment was E1 (Tween80 0.2%; sugar 250 g/l and ergosterol 18 mg/l) which produced ethanol 17,57%.   Keywords: Nypa sap, Tween80, Ergosterol, fed batch, Bioethanol, Very High Gravity Fermentation

Abstract

This research was conducted in Kasang Limau Sundai village, Kuantan Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency . Intake of respondents in this study conducted with (Simple purposive sampling). The methods taked of data used  descriptive analysis, Cartesian diagram analysis, and the Spearman correlation analysis multiatribut Fishbein model of attitude . the results showed as for selling of the rubber,  the farmer must be delivery using transportation services. Atibut pay cash , make loans, fast and good service, given the high prices and the provision of THR is an attribute that must be maintained employer. For a relationship to the importance of farmer characteristics, educational characteristics obtained significantly correlated with THR attributes, characteristics of production, real income and expenditure associated with attribute, while paying cash to the characteristics of the relationship with the level of confidence is obtained that a very real life characteristics associated with the attributes of bonded labor system, the characteristics of education attributes associated with sorting, production characteristics significantly correlated with sorting attributes, characteristics of the income and expenses associated with the attributes are very real suggestion of a friend, the characteristics of farming experience significantly correlated with sorting and dealing with the very real relationship intimacy, as well as the characteristics of the land area significantly correlated with attributes suggestions of friends. Perceptions or attitudes of farmers to traders belonging to the neutral category.
