Abstract

Learning outcomes are crucial for improving student understanding. However, at SDN 1 Padurenan, the average student achievement in science is relatively low. In addition to these issues, researchers also identified another issue: a lack of varied teaching activities, leading to students feeling lazy and bored. Innovation is essential for improving students' science learning outcomes. One approach is the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model, employing a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, aided by the KELSIPAR (Local Wisdom of Sirup Parijoto) comic. The purpose of this study is (1) to analyze the difference in the average pretest and posttest scores on the NHT learning model with Kelsipar comic media in science learning at SDN 1 Padurenan, (2) to analyze the improvement in science learning outcomes on the material of changes in the state of matter with the NHT learning model for grade 4 of SDN 1 Padurenan with the effectiveness of Kelsipar comic media. 19 grade IV students of SDN 1 Padurenan were used as research samples. This study uses quantitative research using the pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design method. This research was obtained through observation, interviews, tests, documentation as well as normality testing, Paired Sample T-Test, and N-Gain tests. From the results of the study, an average pretest of 55.10 increased to 89.68. The average posttest score and Sig. (2-tailed) results were 0.000 <0.5. From the N-Gain Score test, it was 77.80 and declared effective. It was concluded that (1) the average pretest and posttest on the NHT learning model with Kelsipar comic media in science learning at SDN 1 Padurenan had differences, and (2) the results of learning science on the material of changes in the state of matter with the NHT learning model for class 4 of SDN 1 Padurenan with the effectiveness of Kelsipar comic media increased. ABSTRAKHasil belajar sangatlah penting untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Namun, di SDN 1 Padurenan berbeda, dimana rata-rata hasil berlajar IPAS siswa tergolong rendah. Selain dari permasalahan tersebut, peneliti memperoleh permasalahan lain, yaitu pada kegiatan mengajar yang kurang variatif sehingga menyebabkan peserta didik merasa malas belajar dan membosankan. Dalam kegiatan pembelajaran perlu menggunakan inovasi untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa. Salah satunya yaitu menggunakan model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together (NHT) dengan metode pre-eksperimental one group pretest-posttest design berbantuan media komik KELSIPAR (Kearifan Lokal Sirup Parijoto). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) menganalisis perbedaan rata-rata nilai pretest dan posttest pada model pembelajaran NHT dengan media komik kelsipar pada pembelajaran IPAS di SDN 1 Padurenan, (2) menganalisis peningkatan hasil belajar IPAS materi perubahan wujud zat dengan model pembelajaran NHT kelas 4 SDN 1 Padurenan dengan efektivitas media komik kelsipar. Siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Padurenan berjumlah 19 siswa yang digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental one group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini diperoleh dengan observasi, wawancara, tes, dokumentasi juga dengan pengujian uji normalitas, uji Paired Sample T-Test, dan uji N-Gain. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut telah diperoleh rata-rata pretest sebesar 55,10 meningkat menjadi 89,68. Skor rata-rata posttest dan hasil Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,5. Dari uji N-Gain Score sebesar 77,80 dan dinyatakan efektif. Diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa (1) rata-rata pretest dan posttest pada model pembelajaran NHT dengan media komik kelsipar pada pembelajaran IPAS di SDN 1 Padurenahasil memiliki perbedaan, dan (2) hasil belajar IPAS materi perubahan wujud zat dengan model pembelajaran NHT kelas 4 SDN 1 Padurenan dengan efektivitas media komik kelsipar meningkat.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang kemampuan membaca permulaan pada teks bacaan Bahasa Indonesia dan apa faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan membaca permulaan pada teks bacaan Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas 1. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan triangulasi teknik, sumber, dan waktu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan merupakan analisis data deskriptif kualitatif yang meliputi. data collection, data reduction, data display dan conclusion drawing/ verification. Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas I SDN Demangan yang berjumlah 7 siswa. Setelah melakukan penelitian, diketahui adanya kesulitan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas 1 yaitu kurangnya daya ingat, kesulitan mengeja, kesulitan melafalkan huruf, dan kurangnya mengenal huruf. Faktor penyebabnya dikarenakan faktor fisiologis, intelektual, dan psikologis. Upaya yang dilakukan guru dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut yaitu dengan cara pada saat pembelajaran guru menggunakan media pembelajaran yang menarik, guru harus meningkatkan rasa percaya diri bagi siswa, memberikan motivasi, dan guru tidak pernah menyalahkan siswa atas kondisi yang dialaminya dan memberikan program khusus membaca permulaan. Maka dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan dalam mengatasi kesulitan kemampuan membaca permulaan diharapkan guru memberikan motivasi dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri pada siswa, guru menggunakan media pembelajaran yang menarik, orang tua harus mendampingi anak pada saat belajar di rumah, memperhatikan waktu belajar anak sehingga hasil belajar yang diperoleh di sekolah bisa maksimal dan sempurna.

Abstract

Mendidik siswa pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar memerlukan keterampilan khusus, terutama mengenai cara menarik perhatian siswa. Sehingga pendidik harus mampu menciptakan berbagai hal baru yang mengikuti pola pikir peserta didiknya, mulai dari pembawaan, cara, trik, dan media yang menarik serta bervariatif untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang efektif. Tujuan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru dalam memanfaatkan barang bekas dan cat air sebagai upaya meningkatkan kreativitas anak di bidang verbal dan matematis. Metode yang digunakan dengan menggunakan jenis pendekatan participant active learning. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini, pada tahapan perencanan, tim menjelaskan alat dan bahan serta cara pembuatan media dari cat air dan barang bekas yang akan dibuat bersama mitra. Tahapan pelaksanaan, mitra dan tim membuat alat peraga edukatif berupa tirai abjad dan angka menggunakan barang bekas. Tahapan follow up Guru mampu praktik membuat dan menggunakan media cat air dan barang bekas. Tahapan evaluasi, mitra dan tim mencatat kendala, kekurangan, dan kelemahan yang muncul dalam proses pelatihan. Tindak lanjut dari kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan pemetaan materi yang terstrukstur dan pengembangan media ajar berbahan barang bekas yang ekonomis untuk meningkatkan kreativitas pada guru secara luas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media Pop Up Box TESANRA dalam pembelajaran IPAS. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (RD) ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan yang mengacu pada prosedur pengembangan Borg Gall (1983: 775) yang disederhanakan menjadi 4 tahap yaitu: 1) Research and information collecting (Tahap analisis dan pengumpulan data), 2) Planing (Tahap perencanaan), 3) Develop preliminary form of product (Tahap pengembangan produk), dan 4) Preliminary and Operational field testing (Tahap validasi serta uji coba skala terbatas). Tingkat kevalidan media yang dikembangkan diukur dengan angket penilaian media yang dilakukan oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Hasil validasi media memperoleh jumlah skor rata-rata 3,7 dengan presentase total skor 94,64% dan hasil validasi materi memperoleh skor rata-rata 3,8 dengan presentase total skor 96,42%. Berdasarkan pedoman konvensi data kuantitatif ke data kualitatif, maka pengembangan media Pop Up Box TESANRA berada pada kategori Valid. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa desain media Pop Up Box TESANRA ini layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran IPAS untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations, it shows that teachers have not involved students in direct practice to create three-dimensional works of art. This research aims to determine the effect of creating three-dimensional art on the aesthetic abilities of students in class 2 of SDN 1 Mayongkidul. Researchers use quantitative research. The sampling technique for this research is a saturated sampling technique. The subjects of this research were grade 2 students. The sample obtained in this research was 29 respondents. The data collection technique was carried out using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique in this research is simple linear regression analysis. The results of the research show that there is an influence of creating three-dimensional art on the aesthetic abilities of students in class 2 of SDN 1 Mayongkidul. This is proven by the results of simple linear regression analysis showing that the t value is 13.711 and the t table is 2.052 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. It can be concluded that the t-count value is greater than the t-table (13.711 > 2.052). So, Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted (there is an influence and is significant). So creating three-dimensional art is an independent variable that has a positive and significant influence on the aesthetic abilities of students in class 2 of SDN 1 Mayongkidul. Based on the results of the r2 test or coefficient of determination, there is a positive and significant influence between creating three-dimensional art on the aesthetic abilities of students in class 2 of SDN 1 Mayongkidul of 87.4%, while the remaining 12.6% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

The background to this reseach is the low level of students Javanese script reading skills due to the lack of variety in the learning models and media used. This research aims to improve Javanese script reading skills using the Quantum Learning method assisted by Karawa media in elementary school students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research which consists of cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were 11 class III students at SDN 1 Purwogondo. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, tests and documentation. Data analysis techniques use quantitative and qualitative data. The result of this research show that Javanese script reading skills in the first cycle were 5 students who completed it by obtaining classical completeness of 45%, then the number of studens who completed it increased by 9 students with classical completeness of 82% in the second cycle. An increase in learning by implementing the quantum learning method assisted by Karawa media can help students improve their Javanese script reading skills.

Abstract

The learning outcomes of elementary school students tend to be low due to the lack of innovation in the learning process, including the use of models and media that can encourage active student participation. This study aims to determine the difference in the average between students' pretest and posttest scores before and after learning using the Group Investigation model assisted by Truth Or Dare Card media on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD 3 Wergu Wetan, and analyze the increase in students' pretest and posttest scores before and after learning using the Group Investigation model assisted by Truth Or Dare Card media on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD 3 Wergu Wetan. This study uses a quantitative pre-experimental approach and one group pretest-posttest. The study population consisted of 27 fifth grade students. This study uses a saturated sampling technique, so that all members of the population are sampled. The data in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Data analysis in this study used the normality test, paired sample t-test and n-gain test. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that based on the paired sample t-test, the t-count value was obtained at 24.437 with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, this indicates that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Meanwhile, in the N-Gain test, the score obtained was 0.6273 with a moderate category and an increase in the average N-Nain percentage of 62.7267%. Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that the Group Investigation learning model supported by the Truth Or Dare Card media has an effect on the learning outcomes of the Indonesian Kaya Raya material for grade V elementary school students. Based on the N-Gain results, it was also obtained that the Group Investigation learning model assisted by the Truth Or Dare Card media can improve the learning outcomes of the Indonesian Kaya Raya material.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the efforts of teachers in instilling language politeness in elementary school students. Language politeness is an important part of shaping students’ character and social attitudes. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and lower-grade students. The study was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Birrul Walidain Kudus with the subjects being the homeroom teachers of Grade II and Grade III. The data analysis technique used refers to Miles and Huberman’s concept, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that teachers play a strategic role in instilling language politeness through lesson planning, the use of teaching modules, role modeling, as well as reinforcement and habituation in daily interactions. Teachers consistently guide students in using polite expressions such as “please,” “sorry,” “excuse me,” and “thank you,” while also instilling values of courtesy in accordance with the maxims of politeness. Through a sustainable approach, students demonstrated improvement in the use of polite language, both in communication with teachers and with peers.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the validity and effectiveness of the Eyang Eyong learning tool, which is a cheerful hopscotch game of mutual cooperation, in improving the cognitive achievement of Pancasila Education in grade V students at SD 3 Menawan. Using a quantitative approach and One Group Pretest-Posttest design, involving 23 students as participants. Data were obtained from interviews, tests, and observations. The results of the study showed that the Eyang Eyong instructional tool was proven to be feasible to use and effective in improving students' cognitive achievement. The normality test indicated that the data was normally distributed, while the Paired Sample T-Test showed an increase in value (p = 0.001). The average N-Gain value obtained was 0.5308 indicating that the progress of cognitive achievement was included in the moderate category. Based on these findings, it is recommended that innovative learning media such as Eyang Eyong be a tool to help students understand the material and improve their cognitive achievement.

Abstract

Writing instruction in Indonesian elementary schools often relies on traditional methods such as lectures and rote exercises, resulting in low student engagement and underdeveloped writing skills. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a children’s literature module incorporating Grobogan local wisdom in enhancing short story writing skills among Grade IV students at SDN 1 Penganten. A quantitative pre-experimental approach was employed using a one-group pretest-posttest design. A total of 27 students participated in the intervention. Writing skills were assessed before and after the use of the module. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test for normality, paired sample t-test to assess significance, and N-Gain to measure learning improvement. Results indicated that both pretest and posttest data were normally distributed (p 0.05), validating the use of parametric testing. The paired t-test showed a statistically significant improvement in writing performance (p = 0.000). The average N-Gain score of 0.47 falls within the moderate improvement category, suggesting that the module was effective in enhancing students’ writing skills. The integration of familiar cultural elements into the module fostered greater student motivation, authentic expression, and reflection, contributing not only to literacy development but also to cultural awareness and character education. These findings support the goals of Indonesia’s Independent Curriculum and highlight the pedagogical value of culturally responsive learning materials. The study offers practical implications for educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers in developing relevant instructional strategies grounded in local wisdom.
