Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study addresses the challenge of maintaining provenance continuity in the cinnamon supply chain, where raw materials are aggregated from multiple sources and undergo various transactions and transformations. It proposes a conceptual multi-level traceability model that explicitly represents hierarchical provenance relationships, allowing for accurate tracking of raw material origins and compositions throughout the supply chain. By modeling product relationships, quantitative source contributions, and transaction histories, the approach ensures provenance and quantitative consistency even in complex scenarios involving aggregation, ownership transfers, and product changes. The model enhances supply chain transparency and quality auditability by enabling detailed reconstruction of raw material origins at each stage. Specifically tailored to the operational realities of Indonesia’s cinnamon industry, the model supports improved traceability and integrity across the spice agro-industry sector.  Contribution to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic GrowthSDG 9: Industry, Innovation and InfrastructureSDG 12: Responsible Consumption and ProductionSDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

Abstract

Strawberries are a high-value horticultural commodity with a short shelf life, which results in involvement of multiple actors along their supply chain and differences in value creation. This study aims to analyze the value added of strawberries at each main supply chain actor in Nagari Balingka, Agam Regency. The research was conducted from January to August 2025 using a survey method involving strawberry farmers, collectors, wholesalers, and retailers. Value-added analysis was carried out using the Hayami method to calculate value added, value-added ratio, profit, and profit rate for each actor. The results show that farmers generate the highest value added, ranging from Rp 22,852 to Rp 57,140 per kg with a value-added ratio of 46-88%, which is classified as high.  In contrast, collectors, wholesalers, and retailers produce lower value-added, with value-added ratios ranging from 7% to 26%, classified as low to moderate. Differences in value added and profits among actors are influenced by raw material prices, selling prices, and other input costs. Overall, the largest value creation in the strawberry supply chain occurs at the farmer level, while downstream actors mainly function as intermediaries with relatively limited margins. Abstract

ABSTRACK   This study describes the history of the entry of Jaranan culture in Palembang City and the cultural mixing of Jaranan art that occurred in the people of Palembang City. The data used in this study is qualitative data. The main points in this study are: First, the origin of the entry of Jaranan art in the city of Palembang and the process of its art. Second, about the acculturation of the mixing of foreign cultures, especially in the Jaranan art culture to the local culture in the community in the city of Palembang. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the origin of the entry of foreign cultures occurred due to the acculturation process in Jaranan art. The concept used is the concept of cultural acculturation which has five aspects that affect the process of cultural mixing, namely: adisi, syncretism, substitution, deculturation and rejection. The results of this study show that cultural mixing in Jaranan art also occurs due to the collision of the culture of marriage tradition with the culture of Jaranan art. In this case, Wedding traditions involve organ music and additional musical instruments such as drums and bass. The addition of these musical instruments creates cultural interaction, where traditional Palembang songs are played with the rhythm of Jaranan, so that it becomes an important part of Jaranan music. All of these elements work together to form a new entity that is the result of the merger of the culture of marriage and Jaranan.

Abstract

Innovation in agricultural mechanization is crucial for the sustainable development of agricultural machinery in Indonesia. This study aims to design and develop a cutting force measurement device for agricultural products. The device consists of a mechanical system utilizing a linear actuator (5.88 mm/s) as a blade pusher and a control system employing a load cell as a force sensor. Testing was conducted using three blade types with cutting angles of 10°, 15°, and 20° on taro, chayote, and papaya. Measurement data were displayed as graphs on an LCD and stored as XLS files on an SD card. The tested materials had moisture content ranging from 85% to 95%. Results showed that taro required the highest cutting force (74.3 N), followed by chayote (39.77 N) and papaya (31.1 N), corresponding to their hardness and moisture content. In contrast, the highest cutting speed was observed in chayote (6.1 mm/s), followed by papaya (5.8 mm/s) and taro (3.5 mm/s) using a 20° blade. These findings confirm that harder materials with lower moisture content require greater cutting force than softer materials with higher moisture content. Keywords: Controller, Cutting force, Load cell, Mechanization, Small-scale.
