Abstract

Changing in photoperiod duration may affects the physiology of nocturnal fish such as Pangasianodon hypophthalmus. A study aims to understand the effects of controlled photoperiod towards survival and growth of P. hypophthalmus has been conducted from June to August 2020. There were 3 treatments applied, namely natural photoperiod, 18 hours dark (18D), and 24 hours dark (24D) with 3 replications in each treatment. The rearing tanks used in this study were 100 L circular plastic tanks.  In 24D treatment, the tanks were placed under dark colored tarp tent continuously.  For the 18D treatment, the tanks were placed under dark tarp tent, but the tent was opened for 6 hours/ day (the tanks were in dark condition for 18 hours/ day), while the control tanks were positioned under natural photoperiod. P. hypophthalmus fingerlings, 6-8 cm TL and   4-5 g BW were used in this study. Thirty fishes were reared in each rearing tank, they were feed with commercial pellets, 2 times/day, at satiation. Fish survival was monitored every day, while samplings for fish growth were conducted weekly for a 8 weeks period. Results indicate that the survival of   fish was 100% in each treatment applied. Fish growth, however, shown differences. The growth of fish reared in 24D and 18D was better than that of the control. By the 9th week,  the fish in 24D was around 70.71g BW with 19.27 cm TL  (daily growth rate 9.35%), while those of the 18D was 69.41 g BW, 18.77 cm TL and 9.29% daily growth rate. The fish reared under natural photoperiod was around 61.95 g BW with 18.19 cm TL and 7.33% of daily growth rate. Data obtained indicate that the application of longer dark is positively improve the growth of P. hypophthalmus. Keywords:Nocturnal FishLight Dark Catfish

Abstract

Abstract Retribution is a collection of money by the government (municipalities and so on) in return for services. The collection of market retribution in each region is regulated by the government to run effectively. Such is the case with the collection of market levies at the Cork Market which is regulated in the Klaten Regency Regional Regulation Number 18 of 2011 concerning Public Service Retribution. Judging from the development of the Gabus Market in the Klaten area, it looks like it is still in a bad condition. So the problem is how to implement the Regional Regulation related to market retribution and how to implement the Regional Regulation from the perspective of Islamic Law. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of these regional regulations related to the implementation of market service fees in the Gabus Market and the view of Islamic law on the implementation of market fees in the Gabus Market. The research method uses a field qualitative research type. Sources of data used are primary and secondary. The result of this research is that the implementation of Regional Regulation No. 18 of 2011 concerning Public Service Fees (Markets) in the Gabus Market has not been implemented properly, namely in the provision of services and the provision of facilities. In the procedure for implementing the collection of levies, the officer does not give a ticket as proof of payment, the lack of awareness of traders who still do not want to pay and the lack of firmness of officers who do not give sanctions. The market retribution income at Pasar Gabus is quite good. Meanwhile, in implementation according to Islamic law, there is still a gap between the rights and obligations of traders. Keywords: Islamic Law; Implementation; Market Retribution. Abstract

Juaro (Pangasius polyuranodon) are found in the Kampar River and Siak River in Riau Province. The waters of the Kampar river are still in accordance with the quality standards and the waters of the Siak River are indicated by liquid waste pollution as evidenced by the results of air quality measurements, namely free CO2, BOD, Phosphate which are below the quality standard according to Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001. Decreased air quality can affect fish growth. and from the circular pattern of otolith growth. This study aims to determine the growth pattern of juaro fish in the waters of the Kampar and Siak rivers. This research was conducted in March – June 2019. The research method used a survey method. The otolith was sharpened using the Windarti (2013) method to see the growth circle pattern. Furthermore, the pattern and number of Dark Growth Circles (LPG) were seen using a microscope. 60 fish samples were taken (30 fish from the Kampar River and 30 from the Siak River). The results of the study showed that the LGP muscle of juaro fish from the Kampar River had 1 dark circle, while in the Siak River the darkest circle opened 3 pieces. These results concluded that the growth rate of juaro fish in the Kampar River and Siak River had experienced obstacles/disruptions in their lives.

Abstract

Moringa is one of the plants with high nutrients and antioxidants and can improve fish's immune system. This study aimed to look at the structure of the skin and kidney tissue of striped catfish fed with feed containing Moringa leaf flour after being tested for Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria. This research was conducted from January to May 2024 at the Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Riau, and fish histology observations were made at the Aquatic Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Riau. The method used in this study is an experimental method by applying a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five levels of treatment and three replicates, namely KN (without moringa leaves and A. hydrophila challenge test), KP (without moringa leaves and challenged with A. hydrophila), P1 (dose of 10 g/kg feed), P2 (dose of 15 g/kg feed), P3 (dose of 20 g/kg feed). The results showed that most organ tissues were still in a normal state. The best dose of moringa flour addition to feed is 10 g/kg feed (P1). Fish tissue structure in P1 has damage such as hypertrophy, hemorrhage, and lipofuscin pigment on fish skin. Fish survival during the study was 97.67%.
