Abstract

The continuously increasing growth of electricity demand necessitates accurate and systematic planning of electric power systems to ensure power flow quality and system reliability. Ternate City, as one of the major activity centers in North Maluku Province, has experienced a substantial rise in electricity consumption, thereby requiring an effective and reliable load forecasting approach. This study aims to predict the daily electricity load in Ternate City using the Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) method. The analysis is conducted using historical electricity load data, which are processed through data preprocessing stages, dataset partitioning into training and testing sets, and ELM-based modeling. The performance of the proposed model is evaluated using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The results indicate that the MAPE values for the training dataset range from 5.84% to 13.63%, corresponding to very good to good performance categories. Meanwhile, the testing dataset yields MAPE values ranging from 13.45% to 33.09%, which fall within the good to sufficient performance categories. Furthermore, the prediction results are able to accurately capture daily electricity load fluctuation patterns from Monday to Sunday, including peak load periods. Based on these findings, the ELM method demonstrates strong potential as a reliable approach to support electric power system planning and to enhance the quality and reliability of electricity supply in Ternate City.

Abstract

The growing deployment of renewable energy has become increasingly important as conventional fossil-based generation faces sustainability and resource limitations. On Sulawesi Island, Indonesia, wind energy contributes to the regional grid through several wind power plants, whose fluctuating generation introduces operational concerns for system stability. This study investigates the stability performance of the Sulbagsel 78-bus network by pinpointing vulnerable buses and examining the effects of wind power variability. A hybrid stability index (HSI), which integrates multiple stability indicators, is applied to obtain a more robust assessment. The analysis shows that the entire system operates within a secure margin, with all index values remaining below the critical limit (<1). The most sensitive areas are located on the transmission paths connecting Bus 56 Sidera–Bus 57 Sidera 70 kV (0.02268), Bus 38 Bosowa–Bus 40 Pangkep (0.02220), and Bus 73 Powatu 150 kV–Bus 74 Powatu 70 kV (0.02187). In contrast, the Bus 24 Tanjung Bunga–Bus 25 Bontoala corridor demonstrates the strongest stability margin (0.00026). These results indicate that the variability of wind generation does not impose significant negative impacts on the overall stability of the Sulbagsel power system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze competitive advantage development strategies to improve customer satisfaction in the logistics business in Indonesia. Increasingly fierce competition demands logistics companies to be able to create superior value through service quality and customer value. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of logistics service users, with data collection through an online questionnaire. The variables studied include service quality, customer value, competitive advantage, and customer satisfaction. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to test the relationship between variables. The results show that service quality and customer value have a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage. In addition, service quality, customer value, and competitive advantage also have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. These findings indicate that improving service quality and creating customer value can effectively enhance a company's competitive advantage. A strong competitive advantage will impact on increasing customer satisfaction with the services received. Therefore, logistics companies need to continue to develop strategies that focus on improving service quality and customer value to maintain competitiveness and increase customer satisfaction sustainably.

Abstract

ABSTRACTTheophylline is a drug used in the management of asthma. It has relatively short half-life and narrow therapeutic index with 5-20 μg/mL serum concentration. Thus, Floating tablet formulations that can increase the bioavailability of the drug. The aims of this study were to determine the effect of the excipient (HPMC K4M CR and NaHCO3) to the quality of tablets and determine the optimum formula of theophylline floating tablet. A 22 randomized factorial design was used in development of theophylline floating tablet with HPMC K4M CR (A) and NaHCO3 (B) as independent variables. The flowability of mass tablet, floating character, and dissolution profile were chosen as dependent variables. The results showed that NaHCO3 was the most important factor on increasing flowability of mass tablet. HPMC K4M CR was the dominant factor in lowering the Flag time, improving integrity of the tablet, and decreasing the release of drug. The composition of HPMC K4M CR 40.00 mg and NaHCO3 35.39 mg produced the optimum formula of theophylline floating tablet with desirability value of 0.978.
