Abstract

Salah satu aspek dalam kompetensi professional guru adalah Memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) untuk berkomunikasi dan mengembangakan diri. Namun pada kenyataannya masih banyak guru termasuk guru fisika yang tidak memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di kelas. Hal ini dikarenakan keterbatasan guru dalam mengembangkan dan memanfaatkan teknologi. Hasil survey menunjukan bahwa hanya 17 % dari guru fisika yang mampu mengintegrasikan peran teknologi dalam pembelajaran fisika. untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dapat di atasi dengan memberikan pelatihan mengenai pengembangan bahan ajar berbasisAugmented reality. Metode pelaksanaaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini meliputi tiga kegiatan pokok, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Partisipan difokuskan pada guru Fisika Vokasi di Kota Garut. Pada proses persiapan dilakukan dengan melakukan survei dan wawancara terhadap pola kegiatan MGMP Fisika-Vokasi kabupaten Garut. Kemudian, proses pelatihan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah bermakna, yang menggabungkan unsur presentasi, tanya jawab, dan workshop pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis AR dalam upaya menanamkan pengalaman nyata guru. Terakhir, evaluasi dilakukan dengan menganalisis setiap kelemahan pada proses yang dilakukan berdasarkan data yang diperoleh. Berdasarkan hasil angket secara keseluruhan para guru merespon positif terkait pelaksanaan pelatihan ini. Guru terlihat sangat antusias dalam mendengarkan penjelasan serta mempraktekkan apa yang disampaikan narasumber. Selain itu para guru menyatakan bahwa melalui pelatihan tersebut, mereka memperoleh manfaat yang banyak terkait penambahan pengetahuan tentang alternatif media pembelajaran yang bisa di terapkan dalam pembelajaran Fisika.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the increase in students’ understanding of the optical geometry concept after being given treatment using the discovery learning model assisted by PhET simulation media and to test the effectiveness of this learning model to improve understanding of the optical geometry concepts. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental and uses the research design The Static Group Pretest-Post-test Design. The sampling technique in this study was taken using purposive sampling, namely where the control and experimental classes were selected based on the suitability of the student’s character with the researcher’s goals. Each experimental and control group consisted of 35 participants. The experimental class used the discovery learning model assisted by PhET simulation media and the control class uses the conventional learning model. The instrument in this study was using a multiple-choice test of 20 questions. Based on the test results of the Independent Sample Test, it obtained a significance value (α = 0.0001 < 0.05), which means that there is a difference in increasing understanding of the optical geometry concept between classes using the discovery Learning model assisted by PhET simulation media using the learning model conventional.

Abstract

The National Exam is a refinement of learning evaluation carried out by elementary school to high school students, and is held every year, the implementation of this exam aims to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. Although the implementation is held regularly, the facts show that the quality of education in Indonesia is still low. In accordance with the results of PISA and TIMSS which show that Indonesia is in the bottom 10, it means that Indonesian students are still low in terms of literacy and science. This fact changed the evaluation of education which originally used the National Examination, was changed to a Minimum Competency Assessment. The rolling out of this new assessment since 2021 will certainly change the views of teachers and students on the learning they are doing. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the perceptions of high school students and teachers regarding various aspects of changes in classroom learning, especially physics subjects since the drinking competency assessment was lacked. This study uses non-experimental quantitative methods with questionnaires and interviews data collection methods. The questionnaire data analysis used descriptive statistics while the interview data analysis used thematic analysis. By using purposive sampling technique, the participants in this study were 6 high school physics teachers and 172 high school students. The results of the study revealed that most of the students and teachers agreed with the change of the National Examination to the Minimum Competency Assessment in terms of juridical, pedagogical, and psychological aspects.

Abstract

This paper describes the developmental process of PETA (Penjelajahan Matematika) learning media based on the Android application on speed learning materials at a fifth-grade elementary school, determines the feasibility of the application through the validation process of experts, and finds out the compatibility of applications in several devices with different Android versions. The research uses a research and Development (RnD) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the research are (1) the development of the PETA application is relevant to the needs of the mathematics learning process on speed learning material at class V SD, (2) the design of the PETA application is adopted from the concept of exploring games with various forms of presentation, (3) the PETA application design that has been made is developed into file.apk., (4) the PETA application has the feasibility of the content in the very feasible category with a percentage of 97%, the feasibility of the media in the very feasible category with a percentage of 92.75%, and already fulfilled the standard of portability on adaptability and installability aspects with a testing percentage of 100%, and (5) the final product of the PETA application is developed based on the evaluation results at the testing stage of functional suitability and portability by making minor improvements to the instruction aspects of the use and the additional menu of an "additional information" to make it easier for users to get information about latest updates of the PETA application.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide skills for physics teachers in Garut district to create STEM-based learning. Through good and proper learning, the delivery of material can be better absorbed by students. So that later students are expected to be easier to understand the concepts. The dedication activity consisted of two stages, the first stage of the socialization and the second phase of training. Socialization and training were followed by MA Physics teachers in Cibatu sub-district. The training material is training on STEM Education, the selection of STEM-based learning models, and assistance in making STEM-based media. The results showed that community service went well and smoothly. Based on the results of the questionnaire as a whole the teachers responded positively related to the implementation of this training. The teacher seemed very enthusiastic in listening to the explanation and practicing what the resource person said. In addition, the teachers stated that through the training, they gained a lot of benefits related to the addition of knowledge about learning alternatives that could be applied in Physics learning, even they felt an increase in creativity in making STEM-based learning and learning media. The obstacles that arise at this stage of the training are the problems of time that are felt to be lacking for training, therefore they give advice to hold ongoing training related to STEM learning.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi pada saat pembelajaran akan menyebabkan rendahnya keaktifan siswa di dalam kelas serta kurangnya berpikir kritis hal tersebut juga akan berpengaruh pada kreativitas siswa, sehingga diperlukan sesuatu yang mampu mencegah hal tersebut. Yaitu model pembelajaran RADEC yang dapat membuat iklim kolaboratif ketika pembelajaran berlangsung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap pemahaman konsep dan kreativitas siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Batujajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen dengan tipe Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV dari 32 sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Batujajar. Untuk teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan nonprobability sampling sehingga dipilih SD Negeri 3 Batujajar dengan kelas IV B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV A sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kreativitas siswa. Uji paired sample t test, uji N-Gain, dan uji effect size digunakan untuk menilai hipotesis dalam penelitian ini. hasil menunjukan bahwa, (1) Model RADEC memberikan pengaruh pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa, (2) Ditemukan perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran model RADEC dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional, (3) Model pembelajaran RADEC memberikan pengaruh yang sangat kuat terhadap kreativitas siswa.

Abstract

In an era where Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education holds pivotalimportance, this research endeavors to explore innovative approaches to enhance STEM literacy,with a specific focus on the topic of organic solar cells. This study presents a case study conductedamong pre-physics teacher students to improve their understanding of this critical topic byintegrating an AI-powered personalized learning platform. The research is grounded in the beliefthat personalized learning, augmented by artificial intelligence, can offer tailored and engagingeducational experiences. By targeting pre-physics teacher students, this study not only addressesthe fundamental STEM knowledge gap but also aims to contribute to the development of proficienteducators who can effectively impart this knowledge to future generations. The study methodologyinvolves the implementation of an AI-powered personalized learning platform designed to adapt tothe individual learning needs and preferences of the participants. Data is collected from pre- andpost-intervention assessments, as well as feedback from the participants, to evaluate the platform'seffectiveness. Preliminary findings demonstrate significant improvements in STEM literacy relatedto organic solar cells among the pre-physics teacher students. The AI-powered platform, by offeringcustomized content, feedback, and learning pathways, has been instrumental in elevating theircomprehension of this complex subject matter. This research not only contributes to the field of AIenhancededucation but also offers insights into the potential of personalized learning platforms inimproving STEM literacy. The findings have implications for curriculum development, teachertraining, and the broader quest for fostering STEM competence among the next generation ofeducators. In conclusion, the study underscores the promise of AI-powered personalized learningplatforms in augmenting STEM education, explicitly enhancing the understanding of organic solarcells among pre-physics teacher students.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the analysis of student difficulties and the factors causing the difficulties experienced by students in solving long unit mathematics story problems for class III elementary school. This research uses qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects were three third grade elementary school students who were identified as having difficulty in solving story problems. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The results of this research are that. Students experience difficulties, especially in reading comprehension, process skills, and encoding errors. The causal factors come from internal and external factors of students. For internal factors, such as students not understanding the questions, students not being careful enough, students not being used to story problems, and students not having enough practice in working on story problems. External factors, such as inappropriate methods, models, teaching aids and learning media used in learning, lack of motivation from the environment around students, and too much influence from gadgets.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media using the Classpoint application to improve the learning outcomes of fifth-graders in science lessons in elementary schools. The study employed a research and development (R&D) method with a 4D model. The resulting product is a media that can be used by both teachers and students, which contains various features, ranging from material to quizzes to train students' knowledge abilities. This media is run by teachers using laptops/computers and students can use it using their mobile phones without the need to download an application. The research design used is a non-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design by comparing learning outcomes before (pretest) and after using the Classpoint-assisted interactive learning media (posttest). The Classpoint-assisted interactive learning media has been validated by media experts with a percentage of 87.5%, material experts with 97.2%, and language experts with 95%, with an overall average of 91.5% and a category of "very feasible". From the results of the N-Gain calculation, a significant increase was obtained with an average N-Gain of 0.67 which is in the "moderate" category. Thus, it can be concluded that the Classpoint-assisted interactive learning media is effective in improving learning outcomes, especially for the Food Chain material for fifth-graders in elementary schools.

Abstract

In learning mathematics, especially volume material, students still have difficulty understanding the concept. One of the causes is the lack of use of learning media in the classroom to make it easier for students to understand the lesson. This study aims to develop learning media in the form of android-based applications about volume in class V and to determine the feasibility of the applications that have been developed. The research method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. The data collection technique used in this study was an expert validation questionnaire and a user response questionnaire. The results showed that the developed application received a material and language expert validation score of 93.91%, and a media expert validation score of 86.67%. In addition, the results of product trials in small groups received a score of 98.33%, and the test results from the large group trial were 96.48%. This android application media on volume material is very feasible to use in learning.
