Abstract

This aim of this research is to determine the problem of maharah al-qira'ah of class IX students and teachers' strategies in improving the maharah al-qira'ah of students IX class of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurul Hikmah Haurgeulis in 2023. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The data collection process was through the maharah al-qira'ah test for students IX class, classroom observations during learning, interviews with students and teachers as well as madrasah heads to obtain information and documentation. The result of this research indicate that students problems in maharah al-qira'ah are caused by linguistic and non-linguistic problems. Linguistic problems include aspects of sound and writing. And non-linguistic problems include student intelligence and motivation. The teacher's strategy for improving the maharah al- qira'ah of class IX Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurul Hikmah Haurgeulis students in 2023 is to use the practice method and the sentence method. In delivering the material the teacher uses an expository strategy and in enriching the students' vocabulary the teacher uses the mufrodat strategy. Abstract

Quantitative research is the approach employed in this study. Research methods that are based on the positivist philosophy and are utilized to examine specific populations or samples are known as quantitative research methods. Sampling techniques are typically carried out randomly, and data is collected using research instruments. Quantitative or statistical data analysis is then performed with the goal of testing established hypotheses. 50 grade 4 kids were observed, documented, and a questionnaire or questionnaire was utilized as the data gathering technique. Based on the frequency distribution table above, it can be seen that from the results of the legger scores that the author took from 50 students, as many as 29 students had good learning outcomes (58%) and 16 students had sufficient learning outcomes (32%) and 5 students whose learning outcomes were less (10%). From these data, it can be seen that the learning outcomes of MI Ma'had Al-Zaytun students in science lessons in grade 4 of the 2022-2023 school year are good. Based on the results of the regression test, the significance value is 0.009 < 0.05, which can be concluded that variable x has an influence on variable y, so that it can answer the formulation of the first problem that there is a relationship between the influence of the evaluation process on student learning outcomes. Abstract

This research analyses the character building of responsibility in boarding school for grade IV students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun. The purpose of this research is to find out how the boarding school life activities of grade IV students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun as well as how Ma'had Al-Zaytun Educational Institution in shaping the responsibility character of grade IV students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun through boarding school life activities. The research method used by the researcher is to use a qualitative research approach, with the type of research chosen, namely case studies and field research. With data search procedures through interview techniques, observation and documentation. The sampling technique with purposive sampling technique. Observations made by researchers are with passive participation techniques. For data analysis using the concept of Miles and Huberman. And to check the validity of the data through the source triangulation test. The results of this study show that boarding school life activities for fourth grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun refer to the unsyitoh yaumiyah (daily activities) of students from waking up to sleeping again which is routinely carried out from 04.30 to 19.30, coupled with development activities from the unsyitoh yaumiyah programme. As for the formation of responsibility character in grade IV students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun, which includes the formation of responsibility character as follows: 1) Character building of responsibility towards God Almighty 2) Character building of responsibility towards oneself 3) Character building of responsibility for the social environment / society 4) Formation of character responsibility towards others 5) Formation of character responsibility towards the state Keywords: Responsibility Character, Boarding School

Abstract

Effective education requires relevant and interesting teaching models. The contextual learning model addresses this need by presenting subject matter in the context of the students' real world. This helps students understand how the knowledge they acquire can be applied in their daily lives, thus increasing their learning motivation and understanding. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through written tests, questionnaires, and observations on 21 fourth grade students at MI Ma'had Al-Zaytun. The results of the analysis showed that the students' pretest data had an average value (mean) of 61.43. While in the post-test data, the average value (mean) increased to 84.76. The pretest data showed that only 3 out of 21 students met the KKM. then experienced an increase during the post-test, namely 16 out of 21 students met the minimum completion criteria. Based on data from structured interviews and observations conducted before and after the application of this learning model, there was also a positive response, where students showed enthusiasm, interest, activeness and high curiosity during learning. In addition, students also seem to enjoy when this learning model is applied. Thus, it can be concluded that the contextual learning model has an influence in improving the learning outcomes of natural science of grade IV students of MI Ma'had Al-Zaytun. Abstract

Teachers play a crucial role in developing students' emotional intelligence at school, serving not only as teachers but also as determinants of the quality of education. This study is motivated by the importance of emotional intelligence that affects students' social interactions, character development and mental well-being. Observation in grade III shows that students tend to be explorative and active in seeking new experiences. As the highest level of primary education, grade III students often feel more mature and play the role of older siblings. Students with stable emotional intelligence are usually obedient and able to distinguish the right actions, while students with less stable emotions face difficulties in controlling their emotions. This research aims to find out 1) the role of teachers in shaping the emotional intelligence of third grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun, 2) supporting and inhibiting factors in shaping emotional intelligence of third grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun. The method used was descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. This research obtained the following results: 1) The role of teachers in shaping students' emotional intelligence in class III of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun is teacher as educator, teacher as motivator, teacher as facilitator, teacher as mediator, teacher as guide, teacher as director, and teacher as parent. 2) Supporting factors in fostering students' emotional intelligence are conducive environment, social caring attitude and habituation of saying please, sorry and thank you. The inhibiting factors in fostering students' emotional intelligence are the lack of communication between parents and teachers, feelings of homesickness, social background, family economic background and teacher psychology in the process of guiding students. Abstract

This research discusses educational psychology which has a significant contribution in increasing the effectiveness of Arabic language learning. By understanding the learning and teaching process as well as individual student needs. This research uses a literature review method (library research), where the discussion in this research is based on expert opinions and the results of previous research on psychology and the learning process. The results show that educational psychology is very important in learning Arabic, as in learning other languages. The following are several reasons why educational psychology is important in this context, including (1) Understanding the Learning Process, (2) Student Motivation and Engagement, (3) Effective Classroom Management, (4) Assessment and Feedback, and (5) Needs Special for Students. By utilizing these educational psychology concepts, Arabic teachers can create a supportive, motivating, and effective learning environment for all their students.

Abstract

Humans are social beings, and thus they need interaction with others. Interacting requires social intelligence which is the ability to understand and express feelings to people around them. However, there are still students who are not able to interact well with the teacher. The students are unable to express their condition when they are not feeling well.The purpose of this study is to understand teachers’ efforts to improve the social intelligence of sixth-grade students at Private Islamic Primary Boarding School or Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta Ma'had Al-Zaytun in the context of learning. Secondly, the study aims to identify the inhibiting and supporting factors of students’ social intelligence enhancement in learning process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. To collect data, the researcher employs observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The population of this study are the sixth-grade teachers at school. Random sampling teachnique is conducted to find the sample. The samples are homeroom teacher and a subject teacher in class VI B03 and another subject teacher in class VI B07. The obstacle in this process includes lecture-based teaching, which is less interactive. This obstacle is solved by incorporating question-and-answer sessions to enable more active participation from students. The second obstacle is the use of students inappropriate language which is overcome through teacher’s consistent guidance and correction to foster better communication.

Abstract

Learning and learning in principle can be done anywhere and anytime, even if there is a distance between the teacher and students. Online learning is carried out because of a situation that encourages and supports distance learning through computer networks or the internet. Perceptions, perspectives, opinions and strategies carried out by a teacher in online learning are not always the same. This study uses research methods and procedures with a qualitative descriptive approach. Collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. The type of qualitative descriptive research used in this study was intended to obtain information about teacher perceptions in the implementation of online learning during the pandemic. The results of research in online learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Mathlaul Anwar Tegal Waru Ciampea Bogor, are; 1) The teacher's perception in the implementation of online learning is going well. Differences in grade level or student age, affect the implementation of online learning. The WhatsApp application is quite helpful, and easy to use, not much internet quota is used and efficient for delivering learning materials; 2) The obstacle or obstacle is that there are still low-grade students who cannot read, do not have mobile phones, limited internet quota, and parents are busy working. Teachers have difficulty measuring students' abilities. Parents who are less tech-savvy, internet signal is difficult. Parents must understand technology and have time to guide their children

Abstract

Digital transformation has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including the field of education. However, there is still a gap in the literature regarding the role and strategies of digital technology specifically in Arabic language learning. This article aims to analyze the existing literature on the role and strategies of digital technology in enhancing the process of learning the Arabic language. Through a literature review method, this article explores various previous studies and research discussing the implementation of digital technology in Arabic language learning and evaluates its impact on the effectiveness of learning. The analysis shows that the use of digital technology, such as learning applications, e-learning platforms, and interactive tools, can increase students' motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes in Arabic language learning. However, there are also challenges that need to be addressed, such as the lack of technological infrastructure and digital skills among educators. Recommendations for strategies to optimize the use of digital technology in Arabic language learning in the future, including the development of digital-based curricula, training and professional development for educators, technological infrastructure and accessibility, development of interactive learning resources, collaboration between schools and technology providers, regular evaluation and monitoring, and enhancement of students' digital skills.

Abstract

Islamic education in the 2nd century Hijriyah played a crucial role in shaping the sustainable Islamic educational system that continues to this day. During this period, prominent Muslim scholars such as Abu Hanifah, Malik bin Anas, and Al-Shafi’i formulated educational concepts based on the Qur'an and Sunnah, which later developed in educational institutions such as halaqah and early madrasas. This study aims to analyze the relevance of Islamic educational theories from the 2nd century Hijriyah in the development of contemporary education systems. Using a qualitative approach based on literature studies, this research examines the educational principles applied in that era and their contributions to modern learning systems. The findings indicate that key principles, such as value-based education, interactive discussion methods, and the integration of religious and secular sciences, remain relevant to contemporary educational challenges. This article contributes by linking the history of Islamic educational thought with the demands of a more holistic and value-based modern education system.
