Abstract

Empowerment of the elderly can be carried out in various aspects, one of which is health education. The welfare of the elderly is expected to increase through empowerment activities. The government together with the community and families must cooperate in improving social welfare for the elderly so that the physical, mental, and socioeconomic conditions of the elderly can function reasonably because these conditions are related to the diseases they suffer. More than fifty percent of elderly who live with their families or who live in nursing homes suffer from non-communicable diseases (NCDs). NCDs are the leading cause of death in the world with contribution of 62%. Currently, non-communicable diseases are on the rise as a result of an unhealthy lifestyle. The study aimed to determine the empowerment of elderly in carrying out healthy living behaviors. The research method used survey research. Quantitative data analysis was carried out using percentages. Data collection used an instrument in the form of a questionnaire on healthy living behavior in the elderly. Data was collected by interviews with 18 elderly people. Samples were selected using purposive sampling technique. Most of the elderly have unhealthy lifestyle behaviors, with percentage of more than 50% on various aspects such as water consumption, physical activity, diet, mental stimulation, sleep quality, as well as eating and drinking habits, lack of adherence to medication and health checks. This can negatively impact their overall health. Recommendations must be pursued for development of a problem-solving-based elderly empowerment model in improving healthy living behaviors

Abstract

This research proposes developing an integrated project-based learning model with student character development in higher education. This approach aims to prepare students with both academic skills and strong character to face the complex demands of the real world. Through a comprehensive literature review, this research identifies a close relationship between project-based learning and student character development. The proposed learning model integrates elements of project-based learning with proven effective character development strategies. This model aims at empowering students to enhance collaboration, problem-solving, personal responsibility, self-reflection, ethics, leadership, and empathy. The novelty of this research is the importance of implementing project-based learning in learning that must be prepared by lecturers so that learning objectives are not only oriented towards student knowledge but also character building in each learning assignment. This model has to be implemented under the support of lecturers and educational institutions as well as continuous evaluation to assess its relevance and effectiveness. Through the development of this project-based learning model, educational institutions are ready for curriculum changes and students have good and positive characters to face global challenges.

Abstract

Attention to migrant workers is a cross-sectoral joint work, such as the penta-helix approach, especially when they change status to former migrant workers. The community can empower former migrant workers by paying attention to their potential. The purpose of the research is to provide ideas for the design of learning community models for creative economy actors in the performing arts sub-sector for former migrant workers. The research methodology approaches quantitatively two creative economy communities. The research sample of former migrant workers who are members of the creative economy community engaged in the performing arts sub-sector was 65 people. Research findings that the empowerment of former Indonesian migrant workers can be done with a non-formal learning approach. Through an andragogy approach, learning organizations, adult habits, and non-formal learning components encourage the entrepreneurial independence of creative economy actors, thus providing a reference for a learning community model design with six stages (community negotiation, activity planning, Training on the job, strengthening social networks, performance actions, activity evaluation). The conclusion of the research results shows the impact of the development of former migrant workers, after participating in activities in the creative economy community can exploit themselves and stimulate the embryo of a business group that is integrated between non-formal learning and a facility for creative economy activities performing arts.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The researcher is interested in finding out if students’ vocabulary mastery correlates with their writing skills. The 44 students were selected for this study using a purposive sampling technique, they were selected from the population of all the 10th grade students at State 3 Senior High School Tangerang District. A vocabulary test and a writing test were used to collect the data from the participants in this study. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation was used to examine the relationship between the two variables. The result shows that the coefficient between variable X and variable Y is 0.682. The criteria of correlation between two variables among 0.600 – 0.800 shows a high or strong correlation. The significant level at 5% is r-table = 0.297, it means rxy > r-table (0.682 > 0.297). The r-table significant level at 1 % is 0.384, it means that the rxy > r-table (0.682 > 0.384). The result of the analyses shows that there is a positive and significant correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and students’ writing skill of State 3 Senior High School Tangerang District. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In other words, students who score high on vocabulary tests tend to have good writing skills too. Abstract

This study aims to describe a digital-based family health education model for the prevention of anemia in Junior High School Students. This study used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach involving 100 families of female students, who filled out questionnaires regarding their knowledge of anemia, health education, use of digital media, and knowledge and compliance with consuming iron tablets. The data analysis technique in this research used frequency distribution. The results showed that most families lacked knowledge about the signs, consequences, and prevention of anemia, although almost all respondents recognized the importance of family education for anemia prevention. In addition, almost all Junior High School Students had good knowledge of anemia, and almost all families had access and use of WhatsApp as digital media. However, the compliance of Junior High School Students in consuming iron tablets needed improvement. These findings highlight the need for developing a digital-based family health education program utilizing WhatsApp to enhance knowledge and compliance in anemia prevention. It is hoped that this intervention will create sustainable behavioral changes and positively impact the health of adolescent girls.

Abstract

Permasalahan anak yang berhadapan dengan hukum melalui diversi tidak bisa dilaksanakan oleh salah satu pihak saja, sehingga harus melibatkan berbagai pihak yang terkait. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa para pemangku kepentingan yang terlibat dalam diversi untuk menyelesaian; permasalahan anak yang berhadapan dengan hukum. Beberapa instansi yang terlibat dalam penyelesaian permasalahan anak yang berhadapan dengan hukum antara lain Kementerian Sisial, Kementerian Hukum dan HAM, Kepolisian, Kejaksaan dan Kehakiman. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan Pekerja Sosial dan Pembimbing Kemasyarakatan sebagai ujung tombak dalam pelaksanaan diversi. Sedang data sekunder berasal dari undang-undang, peraturan pemerintah, peraturan Menteri Hukum dan HAM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sistem Peradilan Pidana Anak adalah keseluruhan proses penyelesaian perkara Anak yang berhadapan dengan hukum, mulai tahap penyelidikan sampai dengan tahap pembimbingan setelah menjalani pidana. Dalam sistem ini diversi melibatkan peranan berbagai pemangku kepentingan mulai dari Pekerja Sosial, Pembimbing Kemasyarakatan, Polisi, Jaksa, dan Hakim dalam proses penyelidikan-persidangan hingga putusan. Keberhasilan diversi dalam berbagai tingkatan ditentukan oleh bagaimana pemangku kepentingan tersebut meyakinkan keluarga dan pelaku tentang posisi anak. Inilah yang menjadi kebaruan bahwa peran pemangku kepentingan dalam memberikan kesadaran kepada keluarga pelaku dan korban dengan berbagai peran yang menjadi tanggungjawabnya.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what the toddlers family assistance model is as an effort to stunting prevention education in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that family assistance starts with careful planning and coordination with various related parties, implementing and preparing target data for toddlers, collecting data on families of toddlers at risk of stunting, sorting data on babies at risk of stunting until the evaluation carries out recording and reporting to the top level. Family assistance model starts from the Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS) at the central level, namely the BKKBN, down to the provincial level, namely representatives of the provincial BKKBN, then at the Regency/City level, namely the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) in the field of Regency or City Population Control, at the sub-district level, namely the Family Planning Counseling Center ( KB), village or sub-district level and the Family Assistance Team (TPK) as field agents directly provide assistance to toddlers and toddlers at risk of stunting, in addition to facilitating referrals and social assistance. Based on data, the stunting rate is decreasing from 2019-2023 in Kuantan Singingi Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the multisector and multidimensional approach model is in efforts to prevent stunting in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The method used qualitative descriptive approach. The selection of informants using a purposive sample of 5 people : 1 person from the Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service (DP2KBP3A), 1 person Health Service, 1 person Health Center, 1 person the Stunting Acceleration Team (TPPS) and 1 person from the head of Posyandu. Data collection used in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation studies. Data analysis used qualitative analysis. The results showed that the multisector approach model was integrated from the central level, provincial level, district/city, external to village. Collaborating with the Education, Health, social, economic, agricultural, plantation sectors, etc. involving the central and regional governments, Community Institutions, community leaders and the general public. Multidimensional targets are mothers, toddlers, teenagers, prospective brides, pregnant women, children, and the elderly. The results show that stunting rates are decrease. Supporting factors are government support and an integrated stunting prevention education model with various sectors. Abstract

Integrity is an essential character that every prospective clergy must have. In the context of higher education, especially theological higher education institutions, the formation of integrity becomes an integral part of the process of forming students' personalities. This study aims to describe the character portrait of integrity in prospective clergy students at the Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Amanat Agung, Jakarta. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method. The research respondents were 58 students of the Sarjana Teologi study program. The research instrument was a questionnaire developed based on the dimensions of integrity according to the concept of personal integrity, namely honesty, moral consistency, responsibility, and moral courage. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques to map the tendencies of the respondents' integrity characters. The results of the study showed that most prospective clergy students had a high level of integrity in the aspects of honesty and responsibility, but there were still weaknesses in the aspect of moral courage in facing situations that demanded difficult ethical decision-making. These findings indicate that the process of forming integrity in prospective clergy requires further strengthening, especially through a seminary-based learning approach. This study is expected to be a reference for theological higher education institutions in compiling a character formation curriculum that is more effective and relevant to the needs of the times.
