Abstract

This meta-analysis study explores the effectiveness of technology-enhanced language learning in the context of English language teaching. Through a comprehensive review of relevant literature, various research studies were examined to gain insights into the impact and potential of technology in language learning. The findings highlight that the use of new technologies positively contributes to learners' language learning skills and enhances their overall proficiency. Mobile learning and ICT tools have been identified as effective resources that facilitate English language learning by providing accessible and efficient learning environments. Additionally, the research indicates that technology-supported language learning is as effective as learning with human teachers, indicating the potential of technology to offer personalized and tailored learning experiences. However, it is crucial to provide teachers with proper training and support to confidently integrate technology into their teaching practices. Educational institutions should offer comprehensive training programs and allocate sufficient time for teachers to enhance their technological skills and confidently utilize educational technologies. These findings underscore the importance of technology in enhancing language learning outcomes and emphasize the need for ongoing support and professional development for teachers in integrating technology into language teaching.

Abstract

Berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Bupati Sukoharjo Nomor 414/267 Tahun 2021, Desa Karangasem, Bulu, Sukoharjo ditetapkan sebagai Desa Wisata. Potensi alam yang asri di Desa Karangasem sangat strategis untuk dikembangkan sebagai daerah tujuan wisata, salah satunya wisata alam Gunung Pegat. Pemerintah Desa Karangasem bersama Bumdes dan Pokdawis menggencarkan upaya Gunung Pegat menjadi destinasi Wisata Alam baru di Sukoharjo. Akan tetapi, pengelolaan wisata alam di Gunung Pegat ini belum berkembang dan masih dijumpai kurangnya partisipasi masyarakat setempat dalam menunjang kegiatan wisata di Desa Karangasem. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan  tersebut  dengan  mengadakan  pelatihan  strategi  pengembangan  desa  wisata, pelatihan pemberdayaan Pokdarwis, pelatihan pengelolaan situs web dalam menunjang pemasaran wisata, dan membuat way finding menuju Gunung Pegat. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan metode observasi dan wawancara kepada mitra. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1,2 dan 26 Oktober 2022  ini menyasar pada pengelola Desa Wisata Alam Gunung Pegat Desa Karangasem, Bulu, Sukoharjo yang terdiri atas anggota Bumdes dan anggota Pokdarwis berjumlah 40 orang. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan luaran berupa strategi pengembangan desa wisata, sistem perencanaan dan pengembangan desa wisata, sistem kerja kolaboratif antar Pokdarwis, Bumdes, perangkat desa, dan masyarakat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharap dapat mengatasi segala permasalahan yang ada di Desa Wisata Gunung Pegat Desa Karangasem, Bulu, Sukoharjo dari sisi promosi wisata.According to the Regulation of the Regent of Sukoharjo Number 414/267, the Year 2021, Karangasem Village, Bulu, Sukoharjo, is designated as a Tourism Village. Karangasem Village's stunning natural potential is strategically placed to be developed as a tourist destination; one of the destinations is the natural tourism of Mount Pegat. The Karangasem Village Government is working harder to promote Mount Pegat as a new natural tourist destination in Sukoharjo, along with Bumdes (Village-owned Enterprise) and Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group). However, the management of natural tourism on Mount Pegat has not yet been established, and there is still a lack of local community support for tourist operations in Karangasem Village. This community service aims to overcome these issues by implementing training on tourism village development strategies, Pokdarwis empowerment training, training on website management to promote tourism marketing, and creating wayfinding signage for Mount Pegat. This community service is executed using observation and interview methods with partners. This activity targeted the management of the Mount Pegat natural tourism village in Karangasem Village, Bulu, Sukoharjo, with Bumdes members and 40 Pokdarwis members. This activity produced outputs such as a tourism village development strategy, a tourism village planning and development system, and a collaborative work system between Pokdarwis, Bumdes, village officials, and the community. The results of this community service can overcome all issues in the Karangasem Village, Bulu, Sukoharjo, and Gunung Pegat Tourism Village.

Abstract

Good, true, and polite personality expressions reflect one's noble character. The use of the phrase when one is expressing the intent to others, should be conveyed in polite form. This politeness is reflected in the use of expressions in communication. This research aimed to identify the forms, use, and local wisdom of expression phatic opening and closing the conversation in the Java community, especially in the area of Surakarta. The research shows that variations in the forms of expression of phatic. This expression aims to start a conversation, ask permission, refine the command, grateful, subtle rejection, words of sympathy, and apologized. The result showed that in order to establish harmony in their interaction in the community and as a form of politeness, found various expressions phatic in the Java community, especially in the area of Surakarta is an expression sugeng rawuh, kula nuwun, matur nuwun, nyuwun tulung, nyuwun pangapunten, mangga, kados pundi, sugeng ...atau wilujeng ..., katuran pinarak, ndherek bingah, and ndherek belasungkawa.

Abstract

Editor di penerbitan memiliki tugas untuk menyiapkan naskah menjadi layak utuk diterbitkan dengan melakukan penyuntingan. Untuk penghematan kertas (paperless), pekerjaan menyunting dapat dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan software Microsoft word dengan mengaktifkan fitur track changes. Dalam rangka meningkatkan kompetensi para editor yang direkrut oleh Penerbit Nuta Media Yogyakarta, tim pelaksana pengabdian masyarakat melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi para calon editor yang akan direkrut Penerbit Nuta Media Yogyakarta. Pelatihan dalam mengaplikasikan fitur track changes yang ada pada software Microsoft word ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 9, 10, dan 17 Juni 2023 melalui media daring zoom dengan peserta sejumlah 43 orang. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah untuk membekali para editor yang direkrut  oleh Penerbit Nuta Media Yogyakarta mampu meningkatkan kompetensinya sebagai editor dalam melakukan editing dengan cepat, tepat, dan menghemat kertas sehingga naskah tidak perlu dicetak terlebih dahulu. Metode dalam pelatihan ini adalah penyampaian materi oleh dua pelaksana pengabdi yang memaparkan materi terkait profesi editor oleh pangabdi yang pertama dan materi tentang editing kebahasaan oleh pengabdi kedua. Selanjutnya, semua peserta didampingi untuk melakukan editing naskah menggunakan softfile word dan mengaktifkan fitur track changes. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan ini peserta diberikan penugasan untuk melakukan editing naskah dalam kurun waktu satu minggu dan mengirimkan hasil editing menggunakan fitur track changes tersebut dalam google drive yang disediakan. Berdasarkan evaluasi hasil penugasan tersebut peserta yang layak sebagai editor diberikan sertifikat editor dari penerbit dan peserta yang belum layak diberi kesempatan untuk mengikuti kegiatan penguatan editor. Editors in publishing have the task of preparing manuscripts to be suitable for publication by editing. In order to save paper (paperless), editing can be done by utilizing Microsoft Word and activating the track changes feature. In order to improve the competence of the editors recruited by Nuta Media Publisher Yogyakarta, the service team conducted training for the editors in applying the track changes feature in Microsoft Word. This training was held on June, 9, 10 and 17, 2023 through Zoom with 43 participants. The purpose of this training is to equip editors recruited by Nuta Media Yogyakarta Publisher to improve their competence as editors in editing quickly, precisely, and save paper because the manuscript does not need to be printed first. The method in this training is the delivery of material by two service providers who present material related to the editor profession by the first service provider and material on language editing by the second service provider. Furthermore, all participants were assisted to edit the manuscript files in Microsoft Word and activate the track changes feature. As a result of this training activity, participants were given an assignment to edit the manuscript within one week and send the results using the track changes feature in the Google Drive provided. Based on the evaluation of the assignment results, participants who are eligible as editors are given editor certificates from publishers and participants who are not yet eligible are given the opportunity to take part in editor strengthening activities.

Abstract

Bahasa digunakan oleh jurnalis atau wartawan dalam sebuah wacana baik tersurat maupun tersirat terhadap pembaca. Wacana merupakan bagian dari ekspresi komunikasi. Melalui komunikasi dan informasi yang ada di dalamnya akan muncul dalam bahasa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ideologi melalui struktur makro, superstruktur, dan struktur mikro yang terdapat pada surat kabar Satelit News terbitan 19 Juni 2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah surat kabar Satelit News terbitan 19 Juni 2023. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis ideologi struktur makro, superstuktur dan struktur mikro dalam Koran Satelit terbitan 19 Juni 2023. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa ideologi seorang wartawan atau jurnalis sangat mempengaruhi terbentuknya teks berita. Teks berita yag dituangkan melalui gambaran struktur makro, superstruktur dan struktur mikro sangat mendukung penjelasan dari keseluruhan isi berita tersebut beik secara implisit maupun eksplisit.

Abstract

Sumber daya manusia merupakan komponen utama dan penting dalam oprasioanal sebuah organisasi. Penyelenggaraan rekam medis yang baik tidak lepas dari pelayanan kesehatan yang bermutu. Agar berjalan dengan baik, maka maka harus dibutuhkan sumber daya yang cukup. Kunjungan pasien pada Puskesmas Tanah Grogot yaitu 49 orang/hari. Petugas rekam medis sebanyak 4 orang dan hanya terdapat 1 orang saja yang merupakan lulusan rekam medis. Petugas merasa kesulita jika salah satu petugas berhalangan hadir. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui perkiraan jumlah tenaga pekerja menggunakan metode WISN. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode time and motion study. Pada penelitian ini subjek adalah petugas rekam medis sebanyak 4 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument tabel observasi, wawancara, stopwatch dan kalkulator lalu dianalisis menggunakan metode WISN. Diketahui waktu kerja tersedia 61.236, menit/tahun. Kategori SDM terdapat 1 orang dengan latar pendidikan rekam medis, 2 orang sarjana ekonomi dan 1 orang lulusan SMK. Standar beban kerja yaitu 317.541,7 menit/tahun. Standar Kelonggaran yaitu 16.155 menit/tahun atau 0.26. Kebutuhan tenaga kerja yaitu 5,49, hasil perhitungan yaitu perlu adanya penambahan petugas sebanyak 1 orang. Abstract

Background. The Covid-19 outbreak that occurred at the end of 2019 spread rapidly in Indonesia. To reduce the transmission, the Government set a rule not to hold activities that trigger crowds and all activities are carried out at home. The impact of this policy is very much felt, one of which is in the field of education.  The learning system has changed significantly from face-to-face learning in classrooms to distance learning through online media. Efforts that can be made so that learning is still carried out during covid-19 are utilizing social media as a learning medium, one of which is through the Tik Tok application. Purpose. The purpose of this study was to determine the utilization of Tik Tok social media as a learning medium in the teaching and learning process during covid-19. Method. The research method used is quantitative method, data obtained from interviews and distributing questionnaires via google form. Results The results showed that Tik Tok social media was able to motivate students in learning because of Tik Tok's interesting and fun features. In addition, educators can also be creative through videos in presenting learning materials so that learning indicators can be conveyed. Conclusion. The conclusion of this study shows that the use of Tik Tok social media in the learning process during Covid-19 is very effective.

Abstract

development of tourism potential in Karangasem and Ngrombo Tourism Village. This research was conducted in a qualitative descriptive manner by elaborating the techniques of extracting data from in-depth interviews, observation, focus group discussions, and documentation to explore primary and secondary data. Checking the validity of the data has been done through triangulation of sources. The research subjects include elements of the government, private sector, axademics , mass media, communities, and local communities in Karangasem and Ngrombo Tourism Village. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique was compiled interactively including the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), academics, private sector, mass media, tourism awareness groups, youth organizations, and local communities. The collaborative governance process that occurs through face-to-face dialogue, trust building, commitment to the process, shared understanding, and intermediate outcomes have made a positive contribution to increasing the acceleration of tourism potential development and promotion based on digital platforms from Karangasem and Ngrombo Tourism Villages. However, some challenges must be managed better in the aspect of building trust in the management of Karangasem and Ngrombo Tourism Village because there are different backgrounds and priority interests of each actor involved. In addition, long-term sustainable interventions need to be carried out on aspects of commitment to the process and shared understanding to have a multiplier effect on the outcome in the future. The results of this study are expected to provide real implications for the management of the Karangasem and Ngrombo Tourism Village and the Karangasem and Ngrombo Village Government to innovate in accelerating the promotion and commercialization of Karangasem and Ngrombo village tourism products.

Abstract

This study is aimed at investigating types of code-mixing and code-switching as challenges in language identification in online mass media. Journalists mostly mix language to emphasize particular topics and to reiterate them as well. It becomes a challenging task to identify automatic language used with special language. It is focused on articles published in the mass media in Tempo Magazine 2023, in which the media illustrate Indonesian news, the economy, and politics. The method of qualitative research is used to describe the use of code-mixing and code-switching as challenge identification in mass media with documentary techniques. The technique conducted involves reading, studying, identifying, classifying, and analyzing data. Codified standardized English proposes intra-sentential switching, inter-sentential switching, tag switching, and intra-word switching. Meanwhile, the types of code-mixing, insertion, alternation, and congruent lexicalization are identified and analyzed. The data analysis used a process of organizing, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative data into code-switching and code-mixing classifications. The study result is found that 14 code-mixing and code-switching were found

Abstract

The development of technology in the digital era has brought significant transformation in various aspects of life, including education. Indonesian E-learning emerges as an innovative solution to support effective, flexible and inclusive learning. This platform allows students to learn anytime and anywhere, with various interactive features such as learning videos, quizzes and discussion forums. E-learning also provides opportunities for teachers to deliver materials creatively, increase student engagement, and facilitate the evaluation of learning outcomes. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of Indonesian e-learning in improving students' language competence, both in the aspects of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. With a qualitative descriptive analysis approach, the results show that the integrated use of e-learning can increase students' learning motivation, facilitate adaptive learning, and support the achievement of educational goals in the digitalization era.
