Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis belum pernah diukur dan difasilitasi pada proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis, (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis ditinjau dari keterampilan proses sains, dan (3) mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis ditinjau dari motivasi belajar. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian mixed methods, dengan strategi eksplanatoris sekuensial. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas V SD 1 Dersalam dan SD 1 Panjang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui model PBL dengan outdoor learning. Keterampilan proses sains memiliki hubungan kuat dengan berpikir kritis. Peserta didik dengan keterampilan proses sains tinggi memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang tinggi. Peserta didik dengan keterampilan proses sains sedang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi atau sedang. Peserta didik dengan keterampilan proses sains rendah memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis sedang atau rendah. Motivasi belajar memiliki hubungan sangat kuat dengan berpikir kritis. Peserta didik dengan motivasi belajar tinggi memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang tinggi. Peserta didik dengan motivasi belajar sedang, memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis sedang. Peserta didik dengan motivasi belajar rendah, memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah.Critical thinking skills have never been measured and facilitated the learning process. The purpose of this study are: (1) to analyze the increase in critical thinking skills, (2) describe an increase in critical thinking skills in terms of science process skills, and (3) describe an increase in critical thinking skills in terms of motivation. This type of research is research mixed methods, with sequential explanatory strategy. Samples of this research that student class V SD 1 Dersalam and SD 1 Panjang. The data collection is done with test method, observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that an increase in critical thinking skills through the model PBL with outdoor learning. Science process skills have strong relationships with critical thinking. Students with high science process skills have high critical thinking skills. Students with moderate science process skills have high or moderate critical thinking skills. Students with low science process have moderate or low critical thinking skills. Motivation have a very strong relationship with critical thinking skills. Students with high motivation have high critical thinking skills. Students with moderate motivation, have moderate critical thinking skills. Students with low motivation have low critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for teachers to conduct assessment or assessment practices that are in line with the demands of the curriculum. The research aims to: (1) develop an assessment of the learning process in mathematics class V SDN; (2) improve the quality of assessment instruments for the mathematics learning process in the fifth grade of Karanganyar District Elementary School drawing space based on the 2013 curriculum. This type of research is R & D with the observation method. The results of the preliminary research in the form of observations of instruments that will be developed show that the instrument is in the medium category of 22 items and is in the bad category of 4 items. Subsequently given material enrichment which finally can improve the quality of the instrument into 19 medium categories and 7 good category questions. This R & D research uses instrument trials ranging from observation, instrument development to implementation. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, carried out in SD Negeri Karangnyar Regency class V with the subject of Drawing Geometry. Results of the research: at the initial stage (observation) there were 4 instruments in the bad category and 22 in the medium category. The revision is done by providing material reinforcement on items 17 and 19, which is about drawing perspective lines on pyramid and prisms. The development phase (test of improvement) experienced the medium category of 19 instruments and good categories into 7 instruments. The implementation phase of the instrument in the medium category 3 instruments is in the category of 23 instruments. So that it can be concluded that "the development of an assessment instrument for the process of learning mathematics drawing up the space in the Karanganyar District Elementary School level" is worthy of use because it has increased students can concretize a picture of a rib that does not appear to be a perspective image and from the stages that must be passed in the instrument development procedure.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the need for project-based thematic teaching material design as an effort of character education reinforcement for elementary students grade IV. This research used mixed methods by using the model of sequential exploratory strategy. Data analysis technique of this study was qualitative and quantitative analysis. The first step was a qualitative method and then measuring result using tools or certain instrument by using the quantitative method. The analysis of this study consists of qualitative analysis by using resource triangulation technic and quantitative descriptive analysis. The result of this study showed that (1) teacher, principal, and students need teaching materials design based on teaching materials feasibility aspect that was content, presentation, language, and graphics. Project-based thematic teaching materials design as an effort to the character education reinforcement of mutual cooperation appropriate with the competency claim in the sub-theme teaching lesson. (2) Validation result of teaching materials design showed the average score from three validators was 35.67 with very good criteria. In general, validation result from the three validators stated that project-based thematic teaching materials design was proper to be used.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness and influence of the problem-based learning model with ethnomathematics nuance towards problem-solving ability and mathematics anxiety. The type of research used is a mixed method with concurrent embedded research design. The technique of collecting data uses a problem-solving ability test, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis technique using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. Quantitative data analysis techniques include proportion test, average difference test, direct effect test, moderating variable test, and Triangulation of qualitative data. The subject of research amounted to 78 students. The results showed that (1) The problem-based learning model with mathematical nuances effectively increased the average problem-solving ability to reach 75% classical completeness with zvalue = 1.64 > ztable = 1.64, (2) The average score of problem-solving in experiment class was 74.6 and control class was 68.9 with tvalue = 2.56 > ttable = 1.99, (3) There was a positive direct effect of model problem-based learning with ethnomathematics nuance on problem-solving ability with tvalue = 84.11 at the level of 0.00, (4) Mathematics anxiety can strengthen the influence of problem-based learning with ethnomathematics nuance on problem-solving ability was 0.002 at sig level of 0.02, (5) Student with low anxiety can complete all of problem-solving stages, students wih moderate anxiety can understand the problem develop a plan, but less able to carry out the plan, and students with high anxiety can understand problems, but less able to develop a plan and implement a plan.

Abstract

This research aims to find out validity and reliability of mini research based learning material supplement for fifth graders primary school. This research and development (R&D) had stages started from: identifying potency and problem, collecting the data by using questionnaire, observation, interview, pre-test question and post-test, designing product in the form of mini research based learning material under theme respiration system of human as learning supplement with current developed topic about the danger of smoking for human health, validating the design done by media and material experts, revising the design based on judgment, critics, and experts? advices, and testing the products done at VB graders of Islamic Primary School Ta?allamul Huda Bumiayu. The data was analyzed descriptive qualitatively. The finding showed that the media and the subject content experts giving average score of 3.48 (87%) and 3.94 (98.33%), respectively. Based on the teacher?s judgment, the average score obtained 3.20 (80%) and judgment given by students showed average score 3.82 (95.49%). The judgment from media and subject content experts, teachers, and students showed that the supplement was reliable. The implementation of this product to measure conceptual understanding and showed improvement from 42.54 into 74.77 with N-gain 0.55, categorized as moderate. The students? attitudes dealing with smoking showed N-gain 0.39, categorized moderate with improvement score from 82.33 into 87.67, categorized to gave negative respons for smoking attitude. The learning material supplement based on mini research under theme human respiration system was valid and reliable to be used as learning materials for fifth graders.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze and describe the characters that can be developed in Pancasila and citizenship education. The research method used descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological design. The research subjects were the principal, teachers, and students. data analysis used Miles and Huberman, namely data collection, data reduction, display data and conclusions or verification. The results of the research showed that the learning implementation strategy of the Pancasila and citizenship education through habituation, communication, and role models which can develop religious, nationalist, independent, cooperation and integrity characters was very well in every process of teaching and learning in the classroom. Supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of Pancasila and citizenship education with character development include; supporting factors due to the existence of learning tools, the cooperation of the teacher component, the existence of student independence in every teaching and learning activity. The inhibiting factor was due to a number of learning tools could not provided in learning, many students in the classroom can hamper the process of teaching and learning activities in classroom.

Abstract

The process of singing is related to the social process of the child's emotions with the environment, and the social process of emotions involves changes in one's relationships with others, changes in emotions and personalities. This research aims to analyze the singing expression of children in the teaching and learning process at Tarbiyatul Athfal Kindergarten, Krapyak, Jepara. The subjects consisted of early childhood students in Class B or within 5-6-year-old age interval at Tarbiyatul Athfal Kindergarten by taking 3 classes in which each of them represented by 3 students of each category. Thus, there were 9 students taken as the subjects. The research methodology was a qualitative approach. Examine the child's expression when singing in the learning process, how the teacher's role in leading and directing the learning process and see how the child's expression is produced from singing. The findings concerning the singing expression of the children were each child had different expressions while singing. Each expression showed different socio-emotional attitudes. Some students indifferently accepted the song as learning media. Thus, they seemed sufficiently active in learning. In contrast, children were not interested in the song. It showed that children were less active in receiving a lesson from the teacher. The research conclusion shows three student categories in learning. They are (1) active students in learning when singing activities that children are always cheerful, excited and complete their assignments according with their teacher?s directions (2) sufficiently active students, the children are less cheerful and excited, their body?s movement is very limited, so it can affect in their enthusiasm to complete the assignments, (3) less active students in learning, children are not at all interested in the songs provided, they have their world that they like. The research benefits are as reference for further researchers to find out student categories in learning which is adjusted to the obtained expression while singing and having socio-emotional attitudes obtained from the activity.

Abstract

Cognitive learning outcomes of elementary school students are still less than optimal. The learning process still used conventional models with lectures, questions and answers, taking notes, listening, and giving assignments. The teacher still uses the lecture method by cramming various concepts of science into a system of listening, note taking, and memorizing. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning’s model using Quizizz evaluation on student cognitive learning outcomes and to determine the difference in the effect of the Problem Based Learning’s model using Quizizz evaluation with conventional learning on student cognitive learning outcomes. The approach used a a quantitative research, namely a quasi-experimental method. The research design used a pretest-posttest control group design. This design involved two groups of subjects, one was given experimental treatment (experimental group) and the other was not given treatment (control class). The results was the Problem Based Learning’s model using Quizizz evaluation affects students' cognitive learning outcomes and there are differences in student cognitive learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. In conclusion, the Problem Based Learning’s model using Quizizz evaluation has a positive impact on cognitive learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDIT Al-Madina
