Abstract

AbstrakDipublikasikan Penyebab terjadinya pencemaran adalah banyaknya limbah yang dibuang tanpa melalui pengolahan terlebih dahulu atau sudah diolah tetapi belum sesuai standar. Mengolah limbah hasil elektroplating agar dapat diminimalisir dampaknya terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variasi waktu elektrolisis, pH, dan jarak antar elektroda untuk mendapatkan kombinasi terbaik pada proses elektrokoagulasi terhadap efisiensi penyisihan logam krom dan nikel pada limbah cair industri elektroplating. Elektroda yang digunakan alumunium. Sampel dianalisis menggunakan Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). Waktu elektrolisis optimum yang digunakan untuk mengendapkan logam krom dan nikel dalam limbah elektroplating dan limbah artificial yaitu 80 menit. Efisiensi penurunan kadar logam berat pada limbah elektroplating dan artificial pada krom sebesar 73,47% dan 60,63%, sedangkan pada logam nikel sebesar 17,04% dan 52,68%. Jarak antar elektroda optimum logam krom dan logam nikel dalam limbah elektroplating dan limbah artificial yaitu pada jarak 1 cm. Efisiensi penurunan kadar logam berat pada limbah elektroplating dan artificial pada krom sebesar 86,01% dan 84,00%, sedangkan pada logam nikel sebesar 57,64% dan 64,58%. Nilai pH optimum yang digunakan untuk mengendapkan logam krom dalam limbah elektroplating dan limbah artificial yaitu 7, sedangkan pada logam nikel limbah elektroplating yaitu pH 8, pada limbah artificial optimum pada pH 6. Efisiensi penurunan kadar logam berat pada limbah elektroplating dan artificial pada krom sebesar 99,13% dan 98,99%, sedangkan pada logam nikel sebesar 99,26% dan 99,75%.. Abstract Cause of the occurrence of pollution is the amount of wastewater that thrown away without processing beforehand or already processed but not up to standard. Processing wastewater of electroplating results in order to minimize impact on the environment. The purpose this research was to know the variation time of electrolysis, pH, and distance between electrodes to get the best combination of electrocoagulation process on the removal efficiency of chromium and nickel in the electroplating wastewater industry. Electrode of this research is aluminum. Samples were analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The optimum time of electrolysis used to precipitate chrome and nickel in electroplating wastewater and artificial wastewater which is 80 minutes. The efficiency of decreasing heavy metal content in electroplating and artificial wastewater in chromium is 73.47% and 60.63%, while nickel is 17.04% and 52.68%. The distance between optimum electrode of chromium and nickel in electroplating and artificial wastewater that is at a distance of 1 cm. The efficiency of decreasing heavy metal content in electroplating and artificial wastewater in chromium is 86.01% and 84.00%, while nickel is 57.64% and 64.58%. The optimum pH used to precipitate chromium in electroplating wastewater and artificial wastewater is 7, whereas optimum pH used to precipitate nickel in electroplating wastewater is 8, and optimum pH in artificial wastewater is 6. The efficiency of decreasing heavy metal content in electroplating and artificial wastewater in chromium is 99.13% and 98.99%, while nickel is 99.26% and 99.75%.

Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Penelitian ini bertujuan mendesain instrumen tes diagnostik pendeteksi miskonsepsi, untuk menganalisis pemahaman konsep dasar kimia mahasiswa calon guru. Instrumen tes ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa untuk mengetahui, menganalisis sejauh mana pemahaman konsep-konsep dasar kimia yang telah diberikan dalam perkuliahan. Pemahaman konsep dasar kimia saat ini harus diupayakan secara maksimal, untuk menghasilkan outcome sesuai profil lulusan mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Kimia, untuk menjadi Pendidik, fasilisator pembelajaran yang kreatif, inovatif, dan sebagai peneliti dibidang kependidikan. Metode Penelitian didesain sedemikian rupa dengan langkah-langkah mulai dari pemilihan materi yang sulit dipahami, menyusun kisi-kisi soal, desain instrumen tes pendeteksi miskonsepsi model three tier multiple choice, untuk multi level sampai mikroskopis, ujicoba, analisis data uji coba, dan penyempurnaan desain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan data uji coba instrument tes valid dan reliabel. Hasil analisis pemahaman konsep dasar kimia mahasiswa calon guru pada ujian akhir semester dengan instrument tes yang sudah disempurnakan menunjukkan 25 dari 50 mahasiswa (50%) paham konsep dasar kimia, 20 dari 50 mahasiswa (40%) mis konsepsi, dan 5 dari 50 mahasiswa (10%) tidak paham konsep dasar kimia. Saran diperlukan penyempurnaan desain tes diagnostic pendeteksi miskonsepsi, dan perluasan cakupan materi dasar kimia. Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This research aims to design a diagnostic test instrument detection of misconceptions, to analyze the understanding of the basic concepts of chemistry student teachers. This test instrument is needed by the students to identify, analyze the extent to which understanding of the basic concepts of chemistry that has been given in lectures. Understanding of the basic concepts of chemistry at this time should be pursued to the fullest, to produce outcomes fit the profile of graduate student education department of Chemistry, to be educator, facilitator of learning in a creative, innovative, and as a researcher in the field of education. Methods are designed with steps ranging from selecting the materials that are difficult to understand, prepare grille matter, the instrument design detector test misconceptions model of a three tier multiple choice, to a multi-level to the microscopic, testing, analysis of test data, and design improvements , The results showed that based on trial data are valid and reliable test instrument. The results of the analysis of understanding of the basic concepts of chemistry student teachers on the semester final exam with test instrument that has been perfected showed 25 out of 50 students (50%) understand the basic concepts of chemistry, 20 of 50 students (40%) mis conception, and 5 out of 50 students ( 10%) do not understand the basic concepts of chemistry. Suggestions necessary design improvements misconceptions detection diagnostic tests, and expanded coverage of basic materials chemistry.

Abstract

Graduates from undergraduate education contributed 6.31% to the unemployment rate. The Higher Education is expected to develop curriculum and learning not only scientifically oriented, but also facilitate life skills for its graduates. This study aims to analyze the profile of students about microbiology learning based on bioentrepreneurship. The research method is descriptive exploratory. The research subjects were 60 students who had taken microbiology courses in the Biology Education Study Program at FPMIPATI, Universitas PGRI Semarang, which consisted of semesters 7, 9, and 11. The instrument was a closed questionnaire with a choice of answers using the Guttman scale. A questionnaire on student perceptions of microbiology learning based on bioentrepreneurship was developed referring to perceptual indicators, namely knowledge and interest in entrepreneurship, knowledge of microbiology, relevance of microbiology concepts, bioentrepreneurship. Indicators developed in 25 questions and validated by experts and valid. The results showed that overall, the average score was 2.17. From each element, the highest average score is the Innovation element (3,4) and the lowest score from organizational creation and growth (1). Based on the data, the bioentrpreneurship profile is still low. Therefore, it is necessary to recommend the development of a learning program oriented towards bioentreprenurship in microbiology lectures.

Abstract

The process of singing is related to the social process of the child's emotions with the environment, and the social process of emotions involves changes in one's relationships with others, changes in emotions and personalities. This research aims to analyze the singing expression of children in the teaching and learning process at Tarbiyatul Athfal Kindergarten, Krapyak, Jepara. The subjects consisted of early childhood students in Class B or within 5-6-year-old age interval at Tarbiyatul Athfal Kindergarten by taking 3 classes in which each of them represented by 3 students of each category. Thus, there were 9 students taken as the subjects. The research methodology was a qualitative approach. Examine the child's expression when singing in the learning process, how the teacher's role in leading and directing the learning process and see how the child's expression is produced from singing. The findings concerning the singing expression of the children were each child had different expressions while singing. Each expression showed different socio-emotional attitudes. Some students indifferently accepted the song as learning media. Thus, they seemed sufficiently active in learning. In contrast, children were not interested in the song. It showed that children were less active in receiving a lesson from the teacher. The research conclusion shows three student categories in learning. They are (1) active students in learning when singing activities that children are always cheerful, excited and complete their assignments according with their teacher’s directions (2) sufficiently active students, the children are less cheerful and excited, their body’s movement is very limited, so it can affect in their enthusiasm to complete the assignments, (3) less active students in learning, children are not at all interested in the songs provided, they have their world that they like. The research benefits are as reference for further researchers to find out student categories in learning which is adjusted to the obtained expression while singing and having socio-emotional attitudes obtained from the activity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of variety of HOTS questions to measure ability of problem-solving on thermochemistry materials. The objective of this research is to develop a HOTS assessment instrument to measure valid problem-solving abilities on thermochemical materials. The research method used is RD with a 4D model adapted from Thiagarajan that is converted into 3D, that are define, design, and develope. The subjects of this research were 77 students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Pemalang. The data collection sources and methods include: interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The analysis results of the content validity of the instrument obtained that the Aiken'S coefficient in all aspects measured was above 0.75. This shows that the HOTS assessment instrument is very valid. The validity of the construct is seen from the value raw variance explained by measures 48.6% has very good criteria so that the question items are valid. The analysis results of the quality of the HOTS questions to measure problem-solving abilities are seen in terms of the validity of the items, it is known that there are 16 items that are said to be valid and 4 items are said to be invalid because they do not meet the requirements outfit MNSQ, Outfit ZSTD, and Point Measure Correlation.

Abstract

Chemo-entrepreneurship or CEP known as learn chemistry with an entrepreneurial approach to made products. Teachers in research school only use provided books by schools and materials on internet, so it is necessary to develop effective teaching material that fits main purpose. There also need to develop learning media to train student’s ability from interdisciplinary approaches. The aim of this research is to develop chemo-entrepreneurship teaching materials that appropriate and effective to analyze students’ cognitive. This is Research and Development method with ADDIE model. Data collection methods are by observation, questionnaires, tests, and project methods. Data analysis techniques include analysis of interview sheets, instrument validation, analysis the effectiveness of teaching materials, and analysis of questionnaire responses. The result is 87% of students pass the minimum score, means most students pass the achievement and have good cognitive abilities. There are 26 passed students and 4 not passed. Teaching materials get validity score 49 of 52. Teaching materials get positive responses from teachers with score 35 of 40 and positive responses from students with an average score of 38.53 of 48. It means that developed material book appropriate and effective to help teacher explain chemistry with interdisciplinary approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profile of students' misconceptions on stoichiometric material and to find out the findings obtained from the misconception analysis. This research method is a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data collection methods using test and questionnaire methods. Qualitative data method with interview method. The total misconception profile on stoichiometric material was 44.6%. The profile of misconceptions based on the achievement of the highest concept understanding indicator was 65%. The concepts that cause chemical misconceptions of stoichiometric competence in students include the basic laws of chemistry, molar mass, molar volume, number of particles, limiting reagents and empirical formulas. Factors that can cause misconceptions in students found by researchers are situations that are less conducive, lack of student interest in learning chemistry, learning methods that are not correct, lack of courage to ask questions, low student motivation.

Abstract

The 2013 scientific-based curriculum, teachers must facilitate students to gain knowledge or skills based on the scientific method. The research aims to analyze the effectiveness of teaching materials. This type of research development, teaching materials have valid content and media. Teaching materials are declared effective if there is an increase in students' classical mastery, an increase in the achievement of basic competencies, and students can understand macroscopic, microscopic and symbolic level representations. Quantitative descriptive research method, starting from the analysis of the quality of teaching materials and diagnostic test instruments Two Tier Multiple Choice (TTMC), application of teaching materials, application of questions, data analysis of test results, classical completeness, achievement of basic competencies, and analysis of representational understanding. The research subjects were students of class XI and XII MIPA. The results of the study were obtained from the results of the student's TTMC test on the buffer solution material that had used Teaching Materials. Data analysis was done classically. The results showed that there was an increase in classical completeness by 9%, the achievement of basic competence indicators increased by 8% and concept understanding increased by 6%. So that the teaching materials developed are effective to use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguatkan konsep larutan penyangga dengan metode investigasi sehingga dapat meminimalisasi miskonsepsi dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode investigasi terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa SMA N 2 Temanggung. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI semester 2 SMA N 2 Temanggung. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu cluster random sampling. Sebelum penelitian, sampel diberikan pretes, dilanjutkan dengan perlakuan, dan diakhiri dengan postes. Uji statistika yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, kesamaan dua varians, hipotesis, ketuntasan belajar, normalized gain, dan analisis miskonsepsi. Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk mengetahui sikap ilmiah siswa. Rata-rata nilai postes kelas eksperimen 80,00 dan kelas kontrol 73,2. Pada uji hipotesis thitung (3,24) > ttabel (2,00) yang berarti rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kontrol. Pada analisis miskonsepsi kelas eksperimen yang semula terdapat kategori miskonsepsi tingkat 1 sebesar 0,66% menjadi 0%, dan kategori memahami dari 38% menjadi 74%. Sikap ilmiah siswa pada kelas eksperimen berada pada kategori baik dan rata-rata tiap aspek berada pada kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan metode investigasi dapat memberikan penguatan konsep laruatn penyangga sehingga dapat meminimalisasi miskonsepsi dan berpengaruh terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa yaitu dengan kategori baik  dengan rata-rata tiap aspek dalam kategori tinggi.

Abstract

Fenomena saat ini, pelaksanaan penilaian hasil belajar di lembaga pendidikan pada umumnya menggunakan paper and pencil test, sedangkan penilaian individu mahasiswa saat melakukan kinerja dan keterampilan dalam melakukan praktikum masih belum teramati dan terukur dengan baik. Alternatif tes yang dapat digunakan untuk mengukur keberhasilan belajar mahasiswa adalah penilaian kinerja (performance assessment). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada praktikum kimia dasar Universitas Negeri Semarang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah instrumen performance assessment yang merupakan hasil penelitian dapat digunakan untuk menilai keterampilan dasar laboratorium mahasiswa. Pada penelitian ini instrumen penilaian kinerja dianalisis menggunakan metode generalizability coefficient berdasarkan teori Thorndike. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analisis instrumen performance assessment untuk mengetahui kualitasnya (validitas dan reliabilitas). Instrumen penilaian kinerja hasil penelitian dapat dikatakan baku dan layak digunakan, jika memenuhi validitas konstruk dan koefisien generalisabilitas ?0,700. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian kinerja memiliki koefisien generalisabilitas sebesar 0,805. Hal ini berarti bahwa instrumen penilaian tersebut secara konseptual sudah layak untuk digunakan. Sedangkan validitas instrumen ini merupakan validitas konstruk, yang dilakukan oleh dosen pembimbing 1, pembimbing 2, dan dosen-dosen kimia pengampu mata kuliah praktikum kimia dasar. Dari hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa instrumen penilaian kinerja hasil penelitian sudah baku dan dapat digunakan untuk menilai keterampilan dasar laboratorium mahasiswa.
