Abstract

Indonesia which is rich in natural products highlights aspects of tourism in several sectors, culture, traditional food and natural wealth. Although Culinary Tourism is closely related to the taste of local food, this research will focus its discussion on the Design of Marine Culinary Tourism Model on the North Coast of Demak, precisely in Tambakbulusan Village, Karang Tengah District, Demak Regency. In the area cultivated fisheries namely bandeng ponds, tilapia fish, and shrimp. Seeing the culinary potential and fishery results of Demak Regency, especially in the area that excels. As one of the villages that have this potential, Tambakbulusan Village has not been developed optimally. Developing this potential requires careful planning. So that the planning is not the wrong target, research needs to be done first to identify the feasibility of the area to be used as a planning object. This study used qualitative descriptive analysis methods. The analysis is related to the tourism element. The results of the research were then used as input to design the tourist area in Tambakbulusan Village. The design is done by analyzing space needs, design elements, measurable and immeasurable performance, then from the results of design analysis produced a site plan of tambakbulusan tourist village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze gender roles in fishing households and formulate gender-based fishers empowerment strategies. This research focuses on the Coastal Area of Batang Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia. The approach used in this study is a mixed method using two approaches: qualitative and quantitative. The approach used in this study is a mixed method with a quantitative approach using descriptive statistics and a qualitative approach using Atlas Ti. Using snowballing sampling, data were obtained through in-depth interviews and questionnaires with selected fishing communities. The results showed that the distribution of gender roles in fishing households is still unbalanced, where women as wives have roles that focus more on reproductive aspects such as taking care of the household and children. While many aspects of production are dominated by men, in addition to aspects of society, both women and men have a balanced role. To encourage gender-based fishers' empowerment, it is necessary to increase the role of women in the production aspect, where the provision of entrepreneurship-related training is essential. In addition, the women's side should encourage the establishment of small and medium enterprises to promote the economic well-being of the family. The findings show that gender-based empowerment in coastal areas is needed to strengthen the economy of small-scale fishermen. Moreover, women have an essential role in maintaining the stability of their families.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the collaborative forest management as well as the economic benefits obtained by forest village communities through intercropping of maize plants and cattle productive business. 80 respondents were selected through non probability sampling techniques with saturated sample methods. The research data was collected by conducting observations, in-depth interviews and distributing questionnaires to respondents and key informants. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis with quantitative methods consisting of income analysis, R/C ratio, co-management analysis and stakeholder analysis and productive business of cattle. The results show that the economic benefit of maize cropping obtained by Sumberejo village and Padaan Village has given them profit with an R/C ratio of 1.4 and 1.7. For cattle productive business, Sumberejo Village has gotten a profit with the R/C ratio over the total cost of 1.07 and Padaan Village has an R/C ratio of 1.00 (Break Even Point). Through the Mann Whitney statistical test there are differences in income between the sharing forest village (Sumberejo Village) and the non-sharing forest village (Padaan Village). Cattle productive businesses are found to have no difference in income values. Collaborative based forest management at the research location through the concept of co management analysis showed good results with a total score of 3.5 (close to 4). A co management approach is needed for better future forest management.

Abstract

The negative impact of mining activites has resulted in environmental damage that reduces environmental functions. One of them is the brown cnyoan mining, whose mining operations have resulted in the loss of of clean water sources and disrupted public health. The research aims to analyse the negative externalities received bt the community and to estimate the economic losses of the community due to mining activites. The data source of this research is primart data with a sample of 50 families using the purposive sampling method. This research uses a mixed-method, which is a combination of qualitative data (indepth interview, descriptive and coding criteria) and quantitative data (resplacement cost and cost od illness). This research shows that the dominant-negative externalities felt by the community are mining nose, decrease water quality and air pollution. The estimated loss from the replacement cost approach is 5,662,500 IDR and the cost of illness approach 3,999,000 IDR, with an average loss per family each month od 192,030 IDR. This negative impact mining disrupts community efficiency because the negative impact is not taken into account by producers in determining mining production.
