Abstract

The research has been done to analyze Photostimulable Phosphor (PSP) in Computed Radiography (CR) responses related to exposure factor variation which usually used in determining of tube voltage accuracy and output linearity of X-ray machine. The aim of this research is to analyze of linear response of PSP to variation of exposure factor that related to usage of tube voltage in kVp and tube current-exposure time (mAs).The Method which used was exposing CR with an ascent of tube voltage 50 till 90 kVp with a constant tube current-exposure time in 0,5 till 16 mAs. Exposure Index, Deviation Index, and Indicated Equivalent Air Kerma (KIND) referred to  IEC standard 62494-1 at each expose and mean gray value of digital image were used as PSP responses. Those are related to kVp and mAs variation. The result was obtained that photostimulable phosphor response in Exposure Index and Deviation Index parameters had correlation coefficient >0.97 in logarithmic relation at all exposure factor variation. Parameter of Indicated Equivalent Air Kerma (KIND) referred to IEC standard 62494-1 had linier relation with >0.97 amount of correlation coefficient. Linearity coefficient was obtained 0.005-0.061 using IEC standard/mAs. Mean gray value had correlation coefficient >0.94 in logarithmic relation at using of steady tube voltage with the result that could be indicator of output linearity of X-ray machine. The result was obtained that mean gray value could be a tube voltage accuracy indicator at using of 0.5 till 8 mAs with correlation coefficient >0.83 amount.Keywords : computed radiography, exposure indicator, mean gray value, output linearity, tube voltage accuracy

Abstract

The Comparison of PDD and beam profile measurements between detectors Ionization Chamber and Gafchromic film on 10x10 cm2 field. has been done Measurements were made with the detector CC-13s with a volume of 0.13 cc as a reference detector. Measurements were performed using IBA RFA phantom dosimeter. while the film measurement using solid water phantom gafchromic done. Measurements were taken at a field size of 10x10 cm2 in plane 6 MV linac with energy. Profile measurements performed using the SAD technique, with a depth of 10 cm for 6 MV. While the PDD measurements using SSD technique. From the results of this study are expected to know the PDD curve Beam profile and optimal dose measurement accuracy can be achieved in clinical treatment. well as the advantages and disadvantages of each detector and can be taken into consideration in selecting the optimal dosimeter according to the function that will be used.  Key words: Small field dosimetry, ionization chamber, gafchromic film

Abstract

Analysis of the influence of the grid has been determined and the ratio of the radiographic expose factor thorax phantom with grid ratio and expose factor variation to analyze the density and contrast on chest radiographs. Research methods using phantom anthoropomorphic, densitometer and X-ray equipments. Irradiation conditions are given with some expose factor variation is 55 kV 16 mAs, 65 kV 8 mAs, 75 kV 3.2 mAs, and a variety of grid ratio 6:1 and 8:1. Research data is processed and made in the form of a graph of the density of the contrast of the grid ratio and expose factor variation. The higher the ratio of the grid will cause a decrease in the density of radiographs, but does not always lead to increasing or decreasing the contrast radiographs. Results overview on to 5 thorax phantom organ that produces the highest optical density in the use of expose factors 65 kV, 8 mAs on both the grid ratio.Keywords: Grid ratio, expose factor, radiographs

Abstract

MRI sequence difference produces different images. Sequence T1 weighted image (T1WI)  uses to assess the anatomical image. To produce TI Weighted Image needs low TE ( time Echo) lower than 50 ms and low TR (Time Repetition) lower than 1500 ms. To produce a good image needs high contrast in order to differentiate tissues was examined. The purpose of this research is to know CNR maximum and contrast efficiency that accepted.CNR value was obtained by measuring SNR white matter and gray matter for every image MRI Head T1WI with TR variation. The TR was used is 100 ms until 1500 ms with range 100 ms every image. Contrast efficiency value obtained by dividing the value of CNR with the square root of the scan time. The CNR maximum value that has been obtained from this research is 40,55 in TR 800 ms. Abstract

Analysis of the radiation beam profile linear accelerator 6mV on the use of virtual wedge with gafchromic film done as a virtual wedge calibration on the linear accelerator . Virtual wedge calibration was originally done using ionization chamber detector, but its use is not efficient because for one-time calibration with an area of 10 x 10 cm2 field takes 10 times the exposure with the results of 10 data transform one dose profile curve . It takes a dosimeter that can capture the entire virtual dose results wedge with one exposure is gafchromic films with an area that can be customized . This research was conducted with a virtual wedge on the Siemens PRIMUS linear accelerator , scanner Epson Stylus 10000 XL , Solid Water Phantom , Matlab Program and Excel Program. This research begin to find the corelation between radiation beam and pixel value on gafchromic film with field size 1x 1 cm2. This corelation in used to find profile dose of virtual wedge from gafchromic film with field size 1 x 11 cm2. Variation fof gafchromic film is in this angle on 150, 300, and 450, opening jaws in Y1and Y2and teh last variation of half beam position in (-10 until 0),(-5 until 5) and (0 until 10). This research find that in higher beam dose, make the darkness film but lowerpixel value.ther are 2 corection in jaws position Y2 half beam (-10 until 0)300 and jaws position Y2 half beam (0 until1 0) 450. No one of ymetrisity value higher than 3% appropriate with AAPM TG-47.Keyword: virtual wedge, profil dosis, gafchromicf film, half beam

Abstract

ABSTRACT Zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films have been successfully deposited on glass substrates by spray coating method with a variety of the coating of volume about 10 ml to 50 ml. Then ZnO thin films used to degrade 10 ppm methylene blue dyes with sunlight as a medium. ZnO solution was synthesed by dissolving zinc acetate dehydrate (Zn (COOCH3) 2.2H2O into a solvent of isopropanol ((CH 3) 2CHOH) and monoethanolamine (MEA: HOCH2CH2NH2) at room temperature with a concentration of 0.3 M of zinc acetate and the molar ratio of MEA and ZnAc is 1:1. Then the solution was stirred by a magnetic stirrer at a temperature of 70 ° C for 30 minutes to obtain a clear and homogeneous solvent. Furthermore, gel of ZnO is placed on a spray hole and sprayed on a glass substrate that has been heated to a temperature of 250oC. This ZnO thin films then sintering at a temperature of 400oC for 1 hour. The ability of photocatalyst of ZnO for degradation of methylene blue color was observed through the elektrooptis measurement using polarisator and absorbance test using UV-Vis to obtain the percentage of color degradation. The test results of EDX showed that the ZnO thin film having an atomic composition of 50.27% Zn and 49.73% O. And the test results of elektrooptis showed that a thin film with volume coating of 50 ml, is the highest transmission intensity. This suggests that free radicals that more contained in the solvent. A high percentage of color degradation also obtained by stirring the solvent. Keywords: ZnO thin film, spray coating, Sol gel, color degradation

Abstract

Image density is the level of film image blackness. Keywords : developer, density, pH (acidity), NaOH, Na2CO3. In this study aims to determine the pH value of the liquid developer and image density with the addition of NaOH and Na2CO3 as well as a result of the use of the developer fluid. This research is done by washing the film on the object stepwedge used the same exposure factors namely 60 kV tube voltage, time and tube current of 8 mAs. After that film development using weak developer liquid was done. To increase developer liquid’s acidity, two part of processing using 5 grams addition of NaOH  and Na2CO3 on each part were done. On the first film the process was carried out by adding 5 grams of NaOH and Na2CO3 to each film on the first part of liquid. The same procedure applied using the Na2CO3. The film image density then measured by densoitometer. Result of research shows that adding NaOH and Na2CO3 to developer liquid can increase the acidity and density of film images. Adding NaOH resulted in the highest acidity level of 12,01 with the highest density level of 0,94, while adding Na2CO3 resulted in the highest acidity level of 10,49 with the highest density level of 0,93. Keywords: developer, density, pH (acidity), NaOH, Na2CO3

Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate the dosismetry of sector 1-8 collimator 4 mm, 8 mm, 16 mm for the dose rate of Gamma Knife Perfexion. The measurement method for determining the dosimetry of sectors 1-8 is done by calculating the dose rate using chamber ionization detector by convert to Electromter. For calculating the dose rate of each collimator size 4 mm, 8 mm, 16 mm using rules from American Association of Physicists in Medicine Task Grup 51. Abstract

Epoxy resin is a thermosetting polymeric material which is very good for application of high voltage outdoor insulator in electrical power system. This material has several advantages, i.e. high dielectric strength, light weight, high mechanical strength, easy to blend with additive, and easy maintenance if compared to that of porcelain and glass outdoor insulators which are commonly used. However, this material also has several disadvantages, i.e. hydrophilic property, very sensitive to aging and easily degraded when there is a flow of contaminants on its surface. The research towards improving the performance of epoxy resin insulation materials were carried out to obtain epoxy resin insulating material with high water repellent properties and high surface tracking to aging. In this work, insulating material was made at room temperature vulcanization, with material composition: Diglycidyl Ether Bisphenol A (DGEBA), Metaphenylene Diamine (MPDA) as hardener with stoichiometric value of unity, and nanosilica mixed with Silicon Rubber (SiR) with 10% (RTV21), 20% (RTV22), 30% (RTV23), 40% (RTV24) and 50% (RTV25) variation. The usage of nanosilica and Silicon Rubber (SIR) as filler was expected to provide hydrophobic properties and was able to increase the value of surface tracking of materials. The performance of the insulator observed were contact angle of hydrophobic surface materials. Tests carried out using Inclined Plane Tracking procedure according to IEC 60-587: 1984 with Ammonium Chloride (NH4Cl) as contaminants flowed using peristaltic pumps. The results show that hydrophobic contact angle can be determined from each sample, and RTV25 has maximum contact angle among others.

Abstract

Lapisan tipis TiO2:N telah dideposisikan di atas substrat kaca menggunakan  metode sol-gel spray coating. TiO2 telah banyak diaplikasikan sebagai fotokatalis untuk fotodegradasi polutan organik. Celah energi TiO2 (~3,2 eV) membatasi aktivitas fotodegradasinya hanya pada rentang panjang gelombang UV.  Cahaya matahari yang tersedia melimpah, sebagian besar  berupa cahaya tampak dan sebagian kecil cahaya UV. Penggunaan cahaya matahari untuk fotodegradasi memerlukan fotokatalis dengan celah energi < 3.0 eV. Pada penelitian ini, nitrogen digunakan sebagai dopan untuk memperkecil celah energi TiO2, sehingga TiO2 dapat bekerja aktif untuk fotodegradasi menggunakan sinar matahari. Titanium (IV) isopropoxide digunakan sebagai sumber Ti dan urea sebagai sumber nitrogen pada larutan prekursor TiO2:N. TiO2:N dideposisikan di atas hotplate pada temperatur 450°C. Sifat optis, struktur kristal dan morfologi permukaan TiO2:N berturut-turut diuji menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis, XRD, dan SEM.  Keberadaan nitrogen dalam TiO2:N dianalisis menggunakan EDX. Kemampuan fotokatalitik TiO2:N diuji untuk fotodegradasi pewarna DB 71 dengan konsentrasi 10 ppm  di bawah radiasi sinar matahari dan lampu UV C selama 3 jam. Spektrum absorbansi yang tinggi teramati pada rentang panjang gelombang 284 – 354 nm yang menunjukkan TiO2:N menyerap cahaya UV lebih baik daripada menyerap cahaya tampak. Celah energi TiO2:N yaitu 2,84 eV bersesuaian dengan celah energi TiO2 struktur rutile dan jenis doping N interstisial. Hal itu diperkuat dengan pola XRD yang menunjukkan puncak-puncak dominan bidang TiO2 rutile (200), (210), (221), (321) dan satu puncak brookite (032). Fotodegradasi DB 71 menggunakan TiO2:N lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan TiO2 murni.
