Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) identifikasi lokasi point of inception pemasukan udara alamiah (self air entrainment) pada saluran curam di lokasi developing aerated flow; (2) deskripsi distribusi konsentrasi gelembung udara pada kondisi pemasukan udara alamiah (self air entrainment) di lokasi developing aerated flow. Dua tujuan penelitian dicapai menggunakan metode eksperimen yang dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Hidraulika Jurusan Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan (JTSL) Fakultas Teknik UGM. Pada penelitian ini digunakan saluran curam yang mempunyai panjang 10 m, lebar 0,2 m, tinggi 0,4 m dengan kemiringan berubah-ubah mulai 15º, 20º, dan 25º, yang menyatu dengan dinding bak air. Debit divariasikan mulai dari 9,4 l/s, 11,5 l/s dan 20,9 l/s. Distribusi konsentrasi gelembung udara hasil eksperimen dibandingkan dengan hasil perhitungan menggunakan persamaan Chanson (1995) serta Straub dan Anderson (1958). Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) letak point of inception eksperimen untuk α=15° adalah 4,4 m dari inlet flume; untuk α=20° adalah 4 m dari inlet flume; dan untuk α=25° adalah 3,4 m dari inlet flume; (2) profil distribusi konsentrasi gelembung udara di titik 6,2 m di hilir inlet flume dapat dikategorikan sebagai partially aerated flow; dan(3) profil distribusi konsentrasi gelembung udara di titik 7,2 m di hilir inlet flume dapat dikategorikan sebagai fully aerated flow.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) tersedianya hasil analisis tegangan gesek aliran di dasar saluran curam yang berkemiringan 13° dan 20°; dan (2) tersedianya hasil analisis tekanan aliran di dasar saluran curam yang berkemiringan 13° dan 20°.Nilai tegangan gesek τ pada sudut kemiringan dasar flum atau talang sebesar 13° serta debit aliran sebesar 9,5 l/s adalah 157,2 N/m 0 . Nilai tegangan gesek τ 0 2 pada sudut kemiringan dasar flum atau talang sebesar 13° serta debit aliran sebesar 11,4 l/s adalah 157,69 N/m 2 . Nilai tegangan gesek τ pada sudut kemiringan dasar flum atau talang sebesar 13° serta debit aliran sebesar 20,9 l/s adalah 158,07 N/m 2 . Nilai tegangan gesek τ pada sudut kemiringan dasar flum atau talang sebesar 20° serta debit aliran sebesar 9,5 l/s adalah 164,0219 N/m 0 . Nilai tegangan gesek τ pada sudut kemiringan dasar flum atau talang sebesar 20° serta debit aliran sebesar 11,4 l/s adalah 171,8636N/m 0 . nilai tegangan gesek τ 0 2 pada sudut kemiringan dasar flum atau talang sebesar 20° serta debit aliran sebesar 20,9 l/s adalah 235,9513 N/m p di dasar saluran curam atau 0 mm adalah positif, yaitu antara nilai +9,81 sampai dengan =31,2 N/m 2 . nilai tekanan h ; sementara itu, pada posisi di atas dasar yaitu antara +1 mm nilai tekanan adalah negatif, yaitu antara nilai -78,48 sampai dengan -198,4 N/m . Nilai tekanan uap air atau p pada suhu 5°C adalah 1177,2 N/m v 2 2 , sedangkan pada suhu 10°C adalah 2452,5 N/m . Dengan demikian semua nilai tekanan di dasar aliran lebih kecil dibandingkan tekanan uap air atau 2 p > p . Berdasarkan dua kondisi yaitu tegangan gesek τ dan tekanan di dasar aliran 0 h v h 0 p , dapat dikatakan bahwa erosi di dasar saluran yang mempunyai kemiringan dasar antara 13° sampai dengan 20°, serta debit antara 9,5 l/s sampai dengan 20,9 l/s diduga selalu terjadi. 2 2

Abstract

Abstract: Various kinds of buildings in civil engineering require careful planning. For example, in the planning of a water building needed a method to calculate the design flood discharge before starting to plan the dimensions of the building to meet the effectiveness of the water structure. Design flood discharge can be determined using several hydrograph methods that have been used in water building planning in Indonesia. One of the popular hydrograph method used is the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph method. In this case, the design flood discharge is located in the Garang watershed, precisely in Semarang City, province of Central Java, using rainfall data for the past 16 years. Hydrological analysis is carried out first before determining the design flood discharge with a return period of 2, 5, 10, 25, and 50 years. The results of the design flood discharge using Nakayasu method respectively were 305,522 m3/s, 390,742 m3/s, 447,783 m3/s, 520,560 m3/s, and 574,912 m3/s.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the main problem, namely the lack of resources that can be used by productive teachers in Vocational High Schools (SMK) in supporting industrial career path learning. Teaching materials that can be used as a provision to prepare students to enter the workplace, especially the fashion study program. This research aims to produce a feasible, practical, and effective module. In this research method, the R&D, the chosen design is ADDIE which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The unit of analysis of this research is the fashion design vocational career guidance module. The instruments used in this study are (1) module assessment sheets; (2) questionnaires; and (3) and a questionnaire. The data analysis used in this study consisted of: (1) categories to determine the feasibility level of the module; (2) Guttman's categorization for the practicality of the module, using the coefficients Kr and Ks; and (3) n gain test using t test, for module effectiveness. The results of the module feasibility test obtained a score of 4,71% with a very feasible category, the practicality of the module is 88% with very practical criteria, and the effectiveness of the module obtained an N-Gain score of 82.37%. It can be concluded that the module is effectively used as vocational teaching materials. Previous research is developing a printed career material module in a broad scope and it is necessary to have a career focus in a particular field. In this study, the module focuses on a career in fashion that is feasible, practical, and effectively used by productive students and teachers in learning industrial career paths.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship program of Vocational High School (SMK) Ibu Kartini Semarang consisted of Business Centre, School of Entrepreneur, and Production unit. The implementation of the production unit faced several problems such as students’ lack of motivation in conducting industrial apprentice even though it has been scheduled in the timeline. There were gaps between industrial need and students’ output based on their specialization so that improving production units in school was crucial. This research was qualitative research that focused on evaluating the production unit program in SMK Ibu Kartini Semarang. The participants of the current study were principals, production unit staff, teachers, and production unit partners. The questionnaires, observation, and interviews were applied to gain the data. The analysis data used descriptive qualitative method with evaluation model such as context, input, process, product (CIPP). Furthermore, it was evaluated by the Glickman quadrant. The result showed that the production unit of SMK Ibu Kartini Semarang was “not effective” (++--) and the T score achieved < 50 so that the improvement was needed.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the practicality and effectivity level of audio-visual usage in drawing polygon that developed by using Microsoft PowerPoint application and tested in state vocational (SMK N) 2 Kudus. The present research included research and development with applied ADDIE. The product was validated by media and material experts. The result of validation stated that the developed media in this research was valid and reliable based on the Content Validity Ratio, Content Validity Index, and Percent of Agreement. The product was practical with Ke= 0,93, and it was higher than the practical standard (0,90). This result was strengthened from the scalability test (Ks= 0,60), and the product achieved Ks=0,70 of the scalability. This result was higher than the required standard (Ks= 0,60). In the N-Gain score, the product got 71,34% or quite effective. The F count achieved 0,192 with Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 0.05. This test showed a difference in average scores between the experiment and control class.

Abstract

The Teaching Factory (TeFa) learning model is a learning model used in aproduction or service-based vocational school that refers to standards,procedures, and an industry-like atmosphere (companies). PIKA IndustrialWood Working School Semarang is one of the vocational schools thatimplements the TeFa learning model. The implementation of ongoing TeFalearning requires evaluation so that the program can run according to theexpected goals. The evaluation of the TeFa learning implementation used theCIPP evaluation model which consists of four aspects; they are Context, Input,Process, and Product (CIPP). This study aims to determine the extent of theimplementation of TeFa learning in terms of the four aspects by usingquestionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The observationresults of the teachers and industry representatives in terms of Context, Input,Process, and Product aspect showed that the implementation of TeFa learningwas considered in the very good category in accordance with the standards setby the Directorate of Vocational Education of Indonesian Ministry ofEducation, Culture, Research, and Technology with the achievement result of93% context, 96.2% inputs, 91.4% process, and 84.6% product. The results alsoshowed that the implementation of TeFa learning, according to the teacher, interms of Context, Input, Process, and Product aspects was included in the verygood category, with the respective achievements of 91.8%, 95%, 92.9% and93.4%. In addition, according to the students, the implementation of TeFalearning in terms of Context, Input, Process, and Product aspect was includedin the very good category, with the achievements of 82.8%, 89%, 89%, and93.8% respectively.

Abstract

The lack of learning media regarding the Bill of Quantity of Building Construction, Sanitation, and Maintenance reduces students' understanding of the learning material in calculating the work quantity in building construction process. It results in unsatisfactory students learning outcomes.The use of learning media in accordance with technological developments is expected to be a breakthrough to increase the students’ interest. This study aims to develop a video-based learning media to calculate the work quantity in building construction and to analyze its effectiveness. The research method used was Research and Development with the ADDIE approach. This study used the intraclass correlation coefficients method assisted by SPSS v.19 software to analyse the adequacy and practicality validation and used the t-test to analyse the effectiveness of the video learning. The results of the development and data analysis of the video learning were stated by the content experts with a score of 4.03 (adequate) and by the media experts with a score of 4.28 (very adequate). From the practical aspect, the learning video was tested by the students with a reproducibility coefficient score of 0.9 (very practical). The data analysis results of the effectiveness test showed that the average N-Gain score for the experiment class was 56.73% (quite effective). The results of the t-test showed a significant difference between before and after using the video learning, with an increasing score of 11.23. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the video learning is very adequate, very practical, and quite effective to increase the students’ competence on the work quantity calculation in building construction.

Abstract

The study of the maximum water level control of the Jatibarang reservoir is to avoid the possibility of overtopping due to flooding after 100 years return period, therefore it is necessary to take into account the changes in land use, which were once shrubs turned into settlements. Changes in land use result in an increase in the drainage coefficient which results in an increase in surface runoff so that the flood discharge in the river becomes even greater. Jatibarang Dam in Semarang at the time of planning was still designed to use flood discharge return period of Q 50 years; whereas the water structure has included a hazard level classification, so flood safety standards should have been used return period of the Q 100 years. The aims of this study are (1) to analyze the maximum CWL value in the main spillway of the Jatibarang dam based on the analysis of flooding due to Q 100 years; and (2) comparing the maximum CWL value of the main overflow dam Jatibarang results of planning using Q 50 years with the maximum CWL value of the main overflow dam due to flood discharge Q 100 years.This type of research was a survey. Data collection methods used were observation and documentation. The observation method was used to determine the coordinates of the dam spillway, which was then used to make a Jatibarang dam spillway watershed map and directly observe the Jatibarang dam spillway construction. The documentation method was used to collect rainfall data.The inflow flood hydrograph for a 100 year return period is 1838.84 m3/s, while the outflow is 227.57 m3/s, thus the Jatibarang reservoir can accommodate or store flood discharge of 1611.27 m3/s. The maximum elevation of the Jatibarang dam spillway is +155.3. The flood routing results show that the highest elevation is +154.05 at ten time. Comparison between the highest elevation of Q 100 years flood routing results which is equal to +154.05 is lower when compared to the maximum elevation of the Jatibarang dam spillway which is equal to +155.3; so that the main spillway elevation is still able to overcome of Q 100 years. Thus the Jatibarang dam spillway is still safe against the highest elevation of flood Q 100 years.
