Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of interactive BSE utilization as a supplement for blackbody radiation learning in improving student’s critical thinking skills. The methods used were qualitative and quantitative with purposive sampling technique. We applied scientific based learning, where the experimental class used BSE interactive, while the control one used BSE non interactive. The results indicated that the learning used BSE interactive significantly and effectively could improve student's critical thinking skills at the 95% confidence level. Furthermore, there were significant differences in the critical thinking skills improvement between the experimental and control classes at the 95% confidence level with an N-gain value of 0.64 for the class that used interactive BSE and 0.53 for the class that used non-interactive BSE. The effect size value of interactive BSE utilization compared to non-interactive BSE was categorized in a high criteria with a Cohen's value of 1.78. Abstract

This research aimed to develop valid interactive electronic school book using LCDS on special theory of relativity as self instructional for foster student’s critical thinking, to know readability and the ease of operating interactive electronic school book. The method used are research and development. The implementation of procedures adopted from Borg & Gall design which consisted of 5 steps that were need assessment, developing preliminary form of product, expert validation, revision, and one-on-one test. Interactive electronic school book has been validated the material test with the score 3,31 (very appropriate) and the design test with the score 3,57 (very appropriate). Based on one-on-one test of interactive electronic school book shows the average score of the ease of operating aspect is 3,33 with very easy to operate as independent instructional and for readability aspect is 3,23 with very good quality.Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Buku Sekolah Elektronik Interaktif berbasis LCDS pada materi teori relativitas khusus yang valid sebagai bahan ajar mandiri untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa serta mengetahui keterbacaan dan kemudahan dioperasikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah reseach and development atau penelitian pengembangan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan mengacu pada 5 tahapan Borg & Gall yaitu analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan produk awal, validasi ahli, revisi dan uji satu lawan satu. Buku Sekolah Elektronik (BSE) interaktif ini telah tervalidasi uji materi dengan skor rata-rata 3,31 (sangat sesuai) dan validasi desain dengan memporeleh skor rata-rata 3,57 (sangat sesuai). Berdasarkan uji satu lawan satu BSE interaktif dapat diketahui bahwa pada aspek kemudahan dioperasikan mendapatkan skor rata-rata 3,33 dengan kualitas sangat mudah dioperasikan sebagai bahan ajar mandiri dan memiliki kualitas keterbacaan sangat baik dengan mendapatkan skor 3,23. Kata Kunci: Buku Sekolah Elektronik Interaktif, Bahan Ajar Mandiri, Berpikir KritisDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v6.n1.201803

Abstract

The purposes of this development research were to produce educational game that can be used for playing while learning about archimedes law materials through the game on PC and determine the effectiveness of educational games. The steps of Education game used development procedure based on Sadiman et. al.procedures, which included the need analysis, formulating the purpose, formulating the items of the materials, compiling the evaluation instrument, writing script of media, the first product, validation by the expert, test of the product, and the final product. Experimental results showed that the products developed got score 3.20 on attractiveness,3.44 on easiness and 3.58 on usefullness, meanwhile the aspect was very easy to use and the game content can be clearly understood and effectively used as a supplement or media for playing while learning that students were completed the minimum completeness criteria that reached 78.13%.Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah menghasilkan game edukasi yang dapat digunakan untuk bermain sambil belajar mengenai materi hukum archimedes melalui permainan pada PC dan mengetahui keefektifan game edukasi. Tahapan pengembangan game edukasi menggunakan prosedur pengembangan menurut Sadiman, dkk. meliputi analisis kebutuhan, merumuskan tujuan, merumuskan butir-butir materi, menyusun instrumen evaluasi, menulis naskah media, produk awal, validasi ahli, uji coba lapangan, dan produk akhir. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan memperoleh nilai kemenarikan 3,20,kemudahan 3,44 dan kemanfaatan 3,58 sedangkan dalam aspek penggunaan sangat mudah dalam pengoprasian dan isi game dapat dipahami dengan jelas serta efektif digunakan sebagai suplemen atau media untuk bermain sambil belajar yaitu siswa tuntas dari Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal mencapai 78,13%.Kata kunci:game edukasi, hukum archimedes, pengembangan

Abstract

The purpose of this development research is to produce interactive multimedia on the material of angular momentum conservation law and describe the attractiveness, ease, usefulness, and effectiveness of the product. This interactive multimedia development research begins with a needs analysis, formulating learning objectives, formulating material points, formulating a measuring instrument, making an initial script, making a product, then testing the feasibility of design and material carried out by design experts and material experts, followed by one on one tests. After being revised, the product was field tested which was carried out in class XI SMA N 07 Bandar Lampung. The results of the field trials carried out showed that multimedia had an interesting score of 3.04 (interesting), an ease score of 2.89 (quite easy), and a score of the usefulness of 2.99 (quite useful). The test also includes the effectiveness of the product, and the result is that products that are developed effectively are used as learning media seen from student learning outcomes, namely 84% of students have completed the KKM. The conclusion of this development research is interactive multimedia on a physics learning material angular momentum conservation law is appropriate to be used as a learning medium needs to contain concepts, principles, formulas, simulations, videos, and tests.Tujuan dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah menghasilkan multimedia interaktif pada materi hukum kekekalan momentum sudut, serta mendeskripsikan kemenarikan, kemudahan, kemanfaatan, dan keefektifan produk. Penelitian pengembangan multimedia interaktif ini menggunakan model pengembangan Sadiman yang telah dimodifikasi dengan menambahkan langkah evaluasi. Hasil Uji coba lapangan yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa multimedia memiliki skor kemenarikan 3,04 (menarik), skor kemudahan 2,89 (cukup mudah), dan skor kemanfaatan 2,99 (cukup bermanfaat). Uji yang dilakukan juga meliputi keefektifan produk, dan hasilnya adalah produk yang dikembangkan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa, yaitu 84% siswa telah tuntas KKM. Kesimpulan dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran fisika materi hukum kekekalan momentum sudut layak digunakan sebagai suatu media pembelajaran. Multimedia interaktif yang dibuat perlu bermuatan konsep, prinsip, formula, simulasi, video, dan tes.Kata kunci: pengembangan, multimedia interaktif, hukum kekekalan momentum sudut, macromedia flash.
