Abstract

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is the most common functional disorder of the gastrointestinal tract. As a result of the lack of specific diagnostic testing and absence of circumscribed biology markers of the disease, its diagnosis is based on a myriad of symptoms. The term irritable bowel syndrome was probably first coined in 1944 by Peters and Bargen. In 1849, Cumming described the clinical manifestations of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Irritable bowel syndrome is defined on the basis of the recently modified Rome criteria as the presence of at least 12 weeks (not necessarily consecutive) of abdominal discomfort or pain in the preceding 12 months that cannot be explained by structural or biochemical abnormalities, and that has at least two of the following three features: pain relieved with defecation, an onset associated with a change in the frequency of bowel movements (diarrhea or constipation), or an onset associated with a change in form of stool (loose, watery, or pellet-like). The syndrome can be divided into three subcategories according to the Modified Rome criteria II; those with a predominant symptom of diarrhea, constipation, or constipation alternating with diarrhea. There are several criteria for irritable bowel syndrome, one of which is the Manning criteria, applied in many epidemiological and clinical studies to identify irritable bowel syndrome. However, many investigators disagree with this criteria due to a seemingly poor validity in men. In an attempt to bring order to the specialty, consensus-based approach is adopted by a group of international experts, which led to the development of the Rome criteria for irritable bowel syndrome (Table 1). Extra-intestinal symptoms, including headache, backache, urinary and gynecologic symptoms, and fatigue, are more common in the constipation-predominant subgroup.

Abstract

This study was aimed at examining the Muslim students’ attitude towards radicalization which reflects their approval or rejection of radicalization by involving the factor of Religious Identity as the dependent variable and Belief in Conspiracy Theory as the mediator. The sample was Muslim students in public and private universities in East Java. The sample was selected using snowball technique by relying on the networks of friendship owned by the researchers to be forwarded in sequence to the researchers’ friends’ networks. The data was collected online through a google form containing 3 (three) Likert model questionnaires, namely the attitude scale towards radicalization, belief in conspiracy theories, and religious identity. A total of 651 respondents filled out this research questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Macro PROCESS 3.0 from Hayes with IBM's SPSS 25.0 for windows program. The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between religious identity and attitudes towards radicalization, as well as between belief in conspiracy theories and attitudes towards radicalization. This study also proves that belief in conspiracy theories can partially mediate the relationship between religious identity and attitudes towards radicalization. The results of this study can be taken into consideration in making policies to promote the prevention of the radicalization process among college students.

Abstract

Psychology students are required to have competence in the field of psychological assessment. This competency includes administering tests, giving instructions, and scoring test results. However, the time provided by the campus for providing psychological assessment practices for students is not sufficient for developing these competencies, especially during a pandemic where lectures are conducted online. Lack of insight, knowledge, and skills regarding the use of psychological assessment tools is an obstacle for them to find work in the future. The goal to be achieved is to increase students' competence and insight in using psychological assessment tools. The method used is divided into three stages: online material debriefing, offline training, and practice. The first series of activities was attended by as many as 83 participants, while in the second activity, there were as many as 29 participants with psychology student or alumni status. The results of the community service activities that have been carried out are that students experience an increase in competence in psychological assessment tools. Abstract

Malang City is a reflection of economic and social dynamics in society, especially in the context of employment opportunities. Theabstract aims to analyze factors influencing employment opportunities in Malang City and propose strategies for improvement. Through descriptive and comparative analysis methods using data from Badan Pusat Statistik and relevant research, fluctuations in the labor market concerning education, employment-population ratio, and self-employed workforce proportion are examined. Results indicate significant fluctuations in employment due to external factors like the COVID-19 pandemic and economic recovery policies. Strategic measures suggested include curriculum revamps, enhancing vocational education quality, and digital infrastructure development to align skills with market demands. Collaboration among government, industry, and educational institutions is proposed to create new job opportunities. Integrating inclusive, sustainable, and participatory strategies could foster a more inclusive economic environment, providing broader employment opportunities for Malang City residents amidst globalization and increasing competition.

Abstract

Studi ini mengeksplorasi eksistensialisme dalam kerangka Islam, dengan mengkaji konsep dan penerapannya. Eksistensialisme menekankan kebebasan individu dan pencarian makna hidup. Penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana prinsip-prinsip Islam dapat hidup berdampingan dengan ide-ide eksistensialis, mengungkap peran dan tanggung jawab individu dalam konteks keagamaan. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini menyelidiki teks-teks keagamaan dan pemikiran filosofis. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa eksistensialisme dapat meningkatkan pemahaman makna pribadi baik dalam dimensi spiritual maupun sosial, yang menyoroti pentingnya menyeimbangkan kebebasan individu.

Abstract

Visually impaired person has obstacles in terms of limited mobility orientation causing problems in interpersonal relationships. These interpersonal problems can lead to discomfort and feelings of loneliness. This study aims to explore the experience of visually impaired men in young adulthood related to loneliness and how they cope with it. A qualitative method with a phenomenological approach was employed. Six visually impaired men in early adulthood were recruited as research subjects using purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and analyzed using an interpretative phenomenological analysis. The results showed that all subjects reported that they experience emotional and social loneliness due to their visual impairment condition. The feelings of loneliness they experienced cannot be separated from their sense of self-worthlessness and the perceived negative social responses they faced from surrounding people. Both personal and social obstacles have reduced the quality of their social relationship which eventually impact on their feeling of loneliness. In general, the subjects have efficaciously effort to overcome their loneliness by using cognitive reevaluation, doing leisure activities as consolation and taking active actions to improve social relations.  Penyandang tunanetra memiliki keterbatasan dalam orientasi mobilitas yang menyebabkan permasalahan dalam hubungan interpersonal. Permasalahan hubungan interpersonal ini dapat mengakibatkan kesepian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman pria dewasa awal penyandang  tunanetra terkait kesepian dan bagaimana strategi mereka dalam mengatasinya. Penelitian kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi digunakan. Enam pria dewasa awal penyandang tunanetra berhasil direkrut menggunakan teknik purposif dan snowball. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semiterstruktur dan dianalisis menggunakan interpretative phenomenological analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua subjek mengalami kesepian akibat dari kondisi gangguan penglihatannya. Rasa rendah diri dan persepsi atas munculnya respon negatif dari orang sekitar menjadi penghalang hubungan sosial mereka, yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada kesepian. Secara umum, para subjek berusaha mengatasi kesepian dengan melakukan reevaluasi kognitif atas keterbatasan mereka dan respon orang, melakukan aktivitas sebagai pengalihan, dan aktif bertindak adaptif untuk meningkatkan kualitas hubungan sosial.

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter Islami merupakan salah satu tujuan utama pendidikan untuk menghasilkan generasi yang berakhlak mulia, memiliki integritas, dan mampu berperan positif dalam masyarakat. Namun, tantangan era globalisasi dan krisis moral di kalangan pelajar menuntut adanya upaya revitalisasi dalam pendidikan, khususnya melalui Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Artikel ini membahas bagaimana revitalisasi kurikulum PAI dapat menjadi solusi strategis dalam membangun karakter Islami di sekolah. Pendekatan yang digunakan melibatkan analisis konsep karakter Islami, evaluasi kurikulum PAI saat ini, dan strategi perbaikan untuk meningkatkan relevansi dan efektivitasnya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum PAI memerlukan pembaruan melalui integrasi nilai-nilai Islami dalam mata pelajaran lain, metode pembelajaran berbasis praktik, serta pemanfaatan teknologi dalam proses belajar mengajar. Selain itu, kolaborasi antara sekolah, guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat menjadi kunci keberhasilan implementasi pendidikan karakter Islami. Jadi, revitalisasi kurikulum PAI tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai solusi atas permasalahan moral, tetapi juga sebagai fondasi untuk mencetak generasi berkarakter Islami yang mampu menghadapi tantangan global dengan tetap memegang teguh nilai-nilai agama. Artikel ini merekomendasikan langkah-langkah strategis untuk penerapan kurikulum yang holistik dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi isu permasalahan Ketahanan pangan masyarakat, dan percepatan penurunan stunting melalui optimalisasi potensi daerah di Kelurahan Margadana dapat terselesaikan dengan program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) yaitu aktivitas yang berbasis pengabdian masyarakat guna meningkatkan rasa empati serta kemampuan dalam pemecahan masalah terhadap permasalahan yang terjadi di masyarakat lingkungan.KKN T Universitas Alma Ata 2024 dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Margadana dengan menggunakan metode Sosialisasi, Pelatihan dan Pendampingan kelompok.Hasil menunjukkan adanya respon positif dari pemerintah setempat, dan partisipasi dari masyarakat terlihat dari kegiatan program-program kerja yang sudah terlaksana, (a).Pengadaan sosialisasi dan pemberian PMT sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting di posyandu RW 07, Kelurahan Margadana. (b)Pemberian bibit cabe kepada lurah, sekolah, puskesmas dan camat.(c).Pembuatan Akun E-Commerce Shopee, Penguploadan Produk hingga pembuatan Qris pada para pelaku UMKM yang ada di dalam Kader Ibu-Ibu PKK dan pemberian pemahaman mengenai pengelolaan keuangan, pembiayaan syariah, dan digitalisasi transaksi dalam bentuk sosialisasi.(d).Memberikan dampak positif bagi peserta KKNT UAA di kelurahan margadana karena adanya peningkatan dalam kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, dan partisipasi dengan melihat hasil luaran dan program kerja yang sudah terlaksana.

Abstract

Education plays a key role in the development of a nation, with an important contribution both through formal and informal channels such as the family. Formal education in institutions such as schools aims to expand knowledge and critical thinking skills, while informal education in the family functions as an initial foundation for the development of a child's character. In Indonesia, as regulated in Constitution No. 20 of 2003, education is a planned effort to develop individual potential so that they are ready to face social and economic challenges. In the context of economic development, entrepreneurship is a central issue with the government encouraging the growth of new entrepreneurs to create jobs and increase competitiveness. It is hoped that entrepreneurship education can overcome the obstacles faced by young people, such as uncertainty in choosing the type of business and the risk of failure. Entrepreneurship learning not only includes the theory of starting a business but also marketing strategies and developing creative ideas. Thus, entrepreneurship education functions as a tool to improve the skills, creativity and readiness of young entrepreneurs in facing global competition. Evaluation of effective learning models will make a significant contribution in producing a generation of competitive and innovative entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran wakalah dalam meningkatkan efisiensi lembaga keuangan syariah dari perspektif hukum Islam serta aplikasinya di Indonesia. Latar belakang penelitian menyoroti pentingnya konsep wakalah sebagai salah satu instrumen keuangan syariah yang memberikan solusi dalam pengelolaan transaksi sesuai prinsip-prinsip Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dasar hukum, praktik pelaksanaan, serta tantangan dalam penerapan wakalah di lembaga keuangan syariah Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wakalah memiliki landasan hukum yang kuat dalam Islam, didukung oleh berbagai fatwa dan regulasi di Indonesia. Praktiknya diterapkan dalam berbagai produk perbankan syariah yang membantu meningkatkan efisiensi transaksi dan layanan kepada nasabah. Namun, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi sejumlah tantangan, termasuk kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang konsep wakalah serta persaingan dengan produk keuangan konvensional. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya edukasi yang lebih intensif, penguatan regulasi, serta inovasi produk berbasis wakalah untuk meningkatkan daya saing lembaga keuangan syariah di Indonesia.
