Abstract

Avocado leaves (Persea americana Mill.) historically used as a herbal medicine used to ease the expense of urine and crushed a kidney stone in the urinary tract. Avocado leaves contain sugar, d-parseit, quercetin, flavonoids, and compounds sterin. The availability of avocado leaves in the society becames a great opportunity to be utilized as a herbal medicine, it is unknown yet whether the avocado leaves extract was able to decrease edema glomerulus and cell damage in the kidneys. The aim of this research knew the effect of ethanol extract of avocado leaves to decrease edema glomerulus and cell damage kidney of white rat. The research method used The Post Test Only Control Group Design. The dose was 100 mg/0.2kg bw, 200 mg/0.2kg bw, 300 mg/0.2kg bw, with inducer (ethylene glycol + ammonium chloride) as positive control, the treatment carried out during 10 days. Data analysis used Anova. The results showed for parameter damage the glomerulus with (F = 4.931, p = 0.027, < 0.05) which means there was the effect of the ethanol extracts of avocado leaves significantly to decrease edema glomerulus, while parameters proximal tubule damage with (F = 5.755, p = 0.018, < 0.05) which means there was the effect of the ethanol extracts of avocado leaves significantly to decrease cell damage kidney white rat. The dose of ethanol extract of avocado leaves which are most effective against the decrease of edema glomerulus was 100 mg/0.2kg bw and cell damage kidney white rat was 200 mg/0.2kg bw.

Abstract

The research is a classroom action researched aiming to improved creative thinking skilled and biology learning result by implemented GGE (Group to Group Exchange) learning model with Sequence Chains on students of class X MIPA 4 SMAN 1 Gambiran Banyuwangi academic year 2017/2018 which is done two cycles. Stages cycles includes: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of the research of creative thinking skill on pre-cycle is 32,02 increased 43,82 to be 75,85. In learning result, pre cycle cognitive learning comprehensiveness is 43,75% increased 37,5% to be 81,75%, while for effective achievement in the pre-cycle is 36,71 increased 41,58 to be 78,32. Based on the above explanation, it can be concluded that the implementation of GGE (Group to Group Exchange) with Sequence Chains can improve creative thinking skill and learning result of students class X MIPA 4 SMAN 1 Gambiran Banyuwangi academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

Uric acid is the final substance of purine breakdown which is assisted by guanase and xanthine oxidase enzymes. Excess blood uric acid levels are called hyperurosemia. Treatment is usually using synthetic drugs such as allopurinol which has side effects for the body, so it is necessary to take herbal remedies such as Syzygium polyanthum Wight which contains active ingredients such as flavonoids as an inhibitor of the xanthine oxidase enzyme. This study aims to determine the effect of giving Salam Leaf Decoction to the Decrease in Blood Uric Acid Levels. This study uses a completely randomized design study (CRD) with 5 repetitions. This study uses One Way Anova data analysis and continued with Duncan's Test. From the results of the study, at a dose of P1 (0.2 ml / 20 g WB), P2 (0.4 ml / 20 g WB) and P3 (0.8 ml / 20 g BB), a percentage of uric acid levels decreased 40.45% in group P1; 48.19% in the P2 group; 53.53% in the P3 group; 60.35% in the K + group; and -30.73% in the K-group. Of the 5 doses, the most effective dose to reduce uric acid levels in the blood is P2 dose (0.4 ml / 20g WB).

Abstract

Solar water heater (SWH) merupakan salah satu teknologi dalam pemanfaatan energi matahari. Pada penelitian ini phase change material (PCM) diaplikasikan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas penyimpanan panas solar water heater (SWH). PCM menerima panas sensibel dan panas laten hingga mencapai titik pelelehan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui karakteristik PCM (waktu pelelehan, kontur pelelehan, heat transfer, panas kumulatif) selama proses charging. Pemodelan simulasi dilakukan menggunakan metode enthalpy-porosity dengan memvariasikan susunan peletakan kapsul menjadi inline, staggered, dan crossline. Jenis PCM yang digunakan adalah paraffin wax RT52. Heat flux dan debit aliran air dijaga tetap sebesar 1000 W/m2 dan 1 lpm. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan variasi inline, staggered dan crossline menyebabkan perbedaan waktu pelelehan 6,8%, heat transfer tertinggi 12,9% , dan panas kumulatif sebesar 8%.

Abstract

Krambilsawit Village is one of the villages in Saptosari District, Gunung Kidul, categorized as extremely poor despite its tourism potential. Additionally, issues with accessibility, water resources, and electricity render Kambilsawit Village disadvantaged. The aim of this community service is to enhance the capacity of human resources in Kambilsawit Village while implementing appropriate technology to develop local tourism potential. The service took place at the Bedalo Hamlet Hall on Sunday, November 5, 2023, with 15 members of the Pokdarwis Karya Samudra participating in the training. Implementation methods included socialization, training, and counseling on tourism management and awareness, as well as assistance in implementing appropriate technology (TTG). Participants demonstrated high enthusiasm, stating that the activity was highly beneficial and helped broaden their perspectives. The TTG application, comprising a gazebo constructed from natural materials, solar panels, quisdisc, and social media for local tourism development, addressed local issues such as electricity availability, tourism management, and visitor influx, achieving a 100% success rate.

Abstract

Produk berkualitas diperoleh dari permesinan yang baik, dan produk yang baik didapat karena menggunakan sudut pahat yang tepat pada saat proses pengerjaan. Dalam penggunaannya, pemakaian elemen-elemen potong khususnya pahat, sangat berpengaruh pada kualitas dan kuantitas produk. Untuk meminimalisir kerugian yang diakibatkan oleh keausan pahat potong digunakan langkah-langkah strategis, diantaranya dengan mengetahui batas kecepatan yang sesuai antara bahan dari pahat dan benda kerja.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh variasi kecepatan putaran spindel mesin pada proses pengeboran baja karbon rendah terhadap keausan pahat HSS (high speed steel). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan kecepatan putaran spindel mesinnya yaitu 430 putaran per menit, 545 putaran permenit dan 700 putaran per menit.dan bahan pahat dari HSS dan benda kerja yang dibor dari bahan baja karbon Metode keausan yang digunakan adalah analisis berat pahat, perubahan sudut mata pahat dan visualisasi keausan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh data berat keausan pahat pada kecepatan 430 rpm, 545 rpm dan 700 rpm masing-masing sebesar 0,11gram, 0,13 gram dan 0,15 gram serta perubahan sudut mata pahat masing-masing 0,10,0,20 dan 0,30 serta parameter pemotongan untuk kecepatan 430 rpm, 545rpm dan 700 rpm besarnya daya, waktu pengeboran dan energy listrik dan volume tatal yang dihasilkan pada putaran 430 rpm,540 rpm dan 700 rpm masing-masing 220 watt,276 watt, 374 watt, 0,13 menit, 0,10 menit, 0.01 menit, 44x10-5kWH, 45 x 10-5 kWH, 63 x 10-5 kWH dan voleme tatal tiap menitnya masing-masing adalah 12.152 mm3 per menit, 15.402 mm3 per menit dan 19.782 mm3 per menit.

Abstract

Inovasi teknologi perlu disebarluaskan kepada masyarakat sebagai wujud implementasi hasil luaran pendidikan di perguruan tinggi. Para petani padi di desa Nogotirto Kapanewon Gamping merupakan sasaran yang tepat karena belum menerapkan teknologi pada proses pasca panen. Proses perontokan padi masih dilakukan secara manual dengan cara dipukul pada alas kayu. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengenalkan dan mengimplementasikan teknologi mesin perontok padi yang dapat digunakan pada saat pasca panen. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penyuluhan dan diseminasi mesin perontok padi kepada mitra. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu mitra petani padi telah mengetahui mekanisme pengoperasian dan perawatan mesin perontok padi secara benar. Implementasi teknologi mesin perontok padi mampu meningkatkan produktifitas petani dan meningkatkan efisiensi biaya pasca panen.

Abstract

Gunungkidul is an area where most of the area is a tourism destination. Especially in the Krambilsawit area of Saptosari Gunungkidul. In the village, there is one beach, Ngedan beach. Where the beach serves a lot of drinks from young coconut or food using a mixture of coconut, for example uwu sprinkled with grated coconut. One of the problems is the overflow of coconut shells or coconut shells. The solution to this problem includes processing the coconut shell into ordinary charcoal and has not been processed into briquettes. This potential becomes one of the activities of the community service team who are members of the Kosabangsa team to provide alternatives to making charcoal can be developed again, into charcoal briquettes using appropriate technology in the form of a charcoal briquette printing machine. The use of appropriate technology for this Charcoal Briquette Printing Machine can speed up the process of making charcoal briquettes. The method of implementing activities is carried out by making appropriate technology tools and socialising their use to the community. In implementing the activity, the implementation team applied several methods such as lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and mentoring. The results of the implementation of the activity produced one appropriate technology for charcoal briquetting machines and socialisation of using appropriate technology for briquetting machines in the community.

Abstract

Member of the dasa wisma group RT 06 Dusun Niten, Nogotirto, Kapanewon Gamping, Sleman  still grates the coconut manually, so the grated coconut yields 6 kg/hour. To increase the grated coconut with a larger capacity, the Dasa Wisma group needs a coconut grater machine. The AKPRIND Yogyakarta Institute of Science & Technology community service team provided training and handed over machine assistance to the dasa homestead group RT 06 Dusun Niten, Nogotirto, Kapanewon Gamping and provided training on how to operate and maintain coconut grater machines and how to store grated coconut properly. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge to the dasa wisma group RT 06 Dusun Niten, Nogotirto, Kapanewon Gamping how to operate, maintain the coconut grater machine, and store the grated coconut properly so that the machine lasts longer and the grated coconut doesn't rot, and the handover of a coconut shredding machine with a capacity of 40 kg / hour. Through this community service activity, it is hoped that Dasa Wisma Members and community members in RT 06, RW 12, Niten, Nogotirto Village, Gamping District, Sleman Regency can operate, maintain coconut shredding machines and be able to increase the production capacity of grated coconut by 800% when compared to using manual labor and can store grated coconut properly, so that it is expected to improve the community's economy. Community members positively assess and agree with this community service activity.
