Abstract

Laut Arafura di Wilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan Negara Republik Indonesia (WPP-NRI) 718 merupakan salah satu daerah penangkapan ikan pelagis yang penting karena memiliki potensi sumber daya ikan yang melimpah. Salah satu teknik yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil tangkapan dengan alat tangkap purse seine adalah pencahayaan buatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan pengaruh dua durasi penyinaran cahaya, yaitu 500 menit dan 600 menit, terhadap hasil tangkapan ikan. Penelitian dilakukan selama tiga bulan (Desember 2023 – Februari 2024) di atas kapal KMN. Agung Sobrah yang beroperasi di WPP 718. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen lapangan dengan masing-masing perlakuan diulang enam kali. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dua sampel independen (α = 0,05) dan analisis deskriptif untuk komposisi jenis ikan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan signifikan jumlah hasil tangkapan antara dua durasi penyinaran (P0,143<0.05). Namun, terdapat variasi jenis ikan yang tertangkap tiap bulan. Dengan demikian, durasi penyinaran 500–600 menit tidak memengaruhi jumlah tangkapan secara nyata, tetapi berpengaruh terhadap komposisi spesies. Penelitian lanjutan perlu mempertimbangkan faktor lingkungan perairan.The Arafura Sea, located within Indonesia’s Fisheries Management Area of the Republic of Indonesia (WPPNRI) 718, is one of the key fishing grounds for pelagic fish species because it has abundant fish resource potential. One method used to enhance the effectiveness of purse seine fishing in this area is the application of artificial lighting. This study aimed to compare the effect of two different lighting durations—500 minutes and 600 minutes—on fish catch performance. The research was conducted over three months (December 2023– February 2024) aboard the KMN Agung Sobrah, operating in WPP 718. A field experiment approach was used, with each treatment replicated six times. Data were analyzed using an independent two-sample t-test (α = 0.05) and descriptive analysis to assess species composition. The results showed no significant difference in total catch between the two lighting durations (P = 0.143). However, variations in species composition were observed across months. Thus, while lighting duration between 500 and 600 minutes did not significantly affect total catch volume, it influenced the types of species caught. Further research should consider oceanographic and behavioral factors to better understand these outcomes.

Abstract

Regionally, intrusive rocks are quite widespread in the study area, belonging to the Diorite Bone (Tmb) formation. The formation is composed of Diorite, Quartz Diorite, Granodiorite and Adamellite. This study aims to determine the condition of lithology, geological structure and geomorphology. The method used in this research is expolrative, namely obtaining data directly from the field and then analyzing petrology and petrography laboratories. The geomorphology of the study area is divided into 2 geomorphological units, namely; intrusion hills and alluvial plain units. The study area is unofficially divided into three rock units when sorted from oldest to youngest, namely: Diorite rock unit, Granodiorite unit (Middle-Late Miocene), and alluvial sediment unit (Holocene). The geological structure of the study area consists of tensile bridging with a southwest - northeast direction.

Abstract

Pertambangan emas skala kecil (PESK) masih marak di berbagai daerah Indonesia, termasuk di Desa Kaidundu, Kecamatan Bulawa, Kabupaten Bone Bolango, Provinsi Gorontalo. Aktivitas ini kerap menggunakan merkuri sebagai bahan amalgamasi, meskipun telah diketahui bersifat toksik bagi manusia dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kesadaran masyarakat Desa Kaidundu terhadap bahaya merkuri, meliputi pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap 21 responden. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa meskipun 70% masyarakat mengetahui bahwa merkuri berbahaya, hanya 26% yang memahami dampak kesehatannya secara rinci. Sebagian besar masih menggunakan merkuri karena alasan ekonomi dan keterbatasan akses informasi. Rekomendasi utama dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya edukasi dan penyuluhan terpadu, serta penyediaan teknologi alternatif pengolahan emas tanpa merkuri.

Abstract

Sicyopterus pugnans, commonly known as Penja fish, is a freshwater endemic species with a savory taste and distinctive aroma, making it a popular food commodity in West Sulawesi, Indonesia. This fish is commonly consumed either fresh or dried. This study aimed to determine and compare the nutritional composition of Penja fish in fresh and dried forms. The study employed an experimental method using proximate analysis, which included measurements of protein, fat, ash, and moisture content. The samples consisted of fresh Sicyopterus pugnans and traditionally processed dried fish. The results showed that fresh Penja fish contained 17.98% protein, 3.62% fat, 1.55% ash, and 71.87% moisture. In contrast, dried Penja fish exhibited increased nutrient concentrations with 63.80% protein, 12.70% fat, 7.88% ash, and reduced moisture content of 12.54%. The study concludes that Penja fish is highly nutritious, particularly in protein content, and has significant potential to be developed as a high-nutrient local food source.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang Analisis tentang Kebijakan Kedisiplinan Siswa di SMKS YAPTA Takalar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui kebijakan kedisiplinan siswa berdasarkan kebijakan sekolah dan kedisiplinan siswa di SMKS YAPTA Takalar. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif jenis penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMKS YAPTA Takalar. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pengecekan keabsahan data menggunakan teknik Trianggulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Gambaran Analisis tentang Kebijakan Kedisiplinan Siswa di SMKS YAPTA Takalar yaitu, kebijakan sekolah meliputi kebijakan disiplin sekolah dan sosialisasi kebijakan. Kedisiplinan siswa meliputi, kehadiran siswa, implementasi aturan dengan konsisten dan hubungan guru-siswa yang positif. (2) Faktor pendukung dalam analisis tentang kebijakan kedisiplinan siswa yaitu, komitmen pihak sekolah, fasilitas sumber daya, keterlibatan siswa. Sedangkan, faktor penghambatnya yaitu, kurangnya sosialisasi, ketidak konsistenan dan sumber daya manusia terbatas.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan Koperasi Nelayan Produsen Papua Mina Sejahtera menjadi krusial untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan anggotanya yang menghadapi tantangan dalam penanganan pasca-panen. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota koperasi mengenai praktik penanganan dan penyimpanan ikan yang baik guna menjaga kualitas dan nilai ekonomis hasil tangkapan. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi dan pemaparan materi yang dilaksanakan pada 7 Desember 2023 di Kota Sorong, Papua Barat Daya, dengan melibatkan 30 anggota koperasi sebagai peserta. Sesi kegiatan mencakup pemaparan materi dan dilanjutkan dengan diskusi interaktif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta secara signifikan mengenai cara menghambat kemunduran mutu ikan, prinsip penanganan dari kapal hingga konsumen, serta pentingnya pengawetan. Antusiasme peserta yang tinggi selama sesi diskusi mengindikasikan keberhasilan transfer pengetahuan. Sebagai tindak lanjut, dilakukan pula pembagian alat penunjang keselamatan dan operasional seperti lifejacket, cooler box, dan jaring untuk mendukung penerapan praktik yang baik. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berhasil memberdayakan nelayan melalui edukasi dan fasilitasi sarana, yang berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas produk, pendapatan, dan keberlanjutan ekonomi komunitas nelayan di Papua Mina Sejahtera.

Abstract

The Talaud Parrot (Eos histrio), locally known as “Sampiri,” is an endemic species of the Talaud Islands that is currently endangered due to illegal capture and habitat loss. This conservation program aims to preserve the Talaud Parrot population through a participatory approach involving local communities. The methods applied include population monitoring and conservation outreach, training in integrated organic farming using permaculture methods as an alternative livelihood, as well as rehabilitation and release of rescued birds at the Tasikoki Wildlife Rescue Center. Educational activities were carried out through school-based awareness programs and eco-camp events to instill conservation awareness from an early age. The results of the program showed increased community understanding and participation in the conservation of endemic birds, reduced hunting activities, and the establishment of an organic farmers’ group in Dapalan Village as a form of environmentally friendly economic empowerment. The program also strengthened synergy among institutions—Pertamina, the Masarang Foundation, the North Sulawesi BKSDA, and local communities—as a model of multi-stakeholder partnership in community-based conservation. The ecological, social, and economic impacts demonstrate that participatory conservation efforts are effective in reducing illegal wildlife trade and improving community welfare. Overall, this program serves as a tangible example of sustainable collaboration to protect the biodiversity and ecological identity of the Talaud Islands.

Abstract

This study was conducted in Longalo Village to determine the rock mass quality using the Rock Mass Rating (RMR) method. The analysis was carried out on five field observation segments. The lithology of the study area consists of granitic rocks, most of which have undergone deformation, especially along the slope areas. Geological factors such as the degree of weathering and structural conditions influence the rock mass assessment. The analysis results show that the RMR values range from 48 to 56, which are classified as Class III or fair-quality rock. Based on this classification, the rock mass conditions in the study area are generally fairly stable but are still influenced by structural features and weathering.

Abstract

This study was conducted in Iluta Village, Batudaa District, Gorontalo Regency, to determine thepetrographic characteristics, geochemical composition, and potential utilization of limestone. The research methods included geological mapping, rock sampling, petrographic analysis using thin sections, and geochemical analysis through X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). The stratigraphy of the study area consists of limestone units with packstone, wackstone, and mudstone facies, as well as alluvial deposits. Petrographic observations show that packstone is dominated by micrite (73%), vuggy pores (16%), and foraminifera (11%); wackstone by vuggy pores (42%), micrite (34%), foraminifera (13%), and calcite (11%); while mudstone contains calcite (52%), micrite (40%), and foraminifera (8%). Geochemical results indicate that samples FH4 and FH18 have high CaO (±49– 50%) and low SiO₂–Al₂O₃, suggesting high-quality limestone suitable for cement and quicklime production. Conversely, sample FH22, with high SiO₂–Al₂O₃ and low CaO (±8.31%), represents silicate-rich mudstone unsuitable for industrial limestone use.

Abstract

bertujuan untuk menganalisis jumlah mikroplastik dan jenis sampah mikroplastik pada saluran pencernaan ikan belanak (Moolgarda Seheli) di perairan Kali Remu Kota Sorong, Papua Barat.Organ diekstraksi menggunakan KOH 20% dan pengamatan karakteristik mikroplastik dilakukan secara visual menggunakan mikroskop stereo. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer (pengumpulan langsung di lapangan) dengan sampel ikan belanak (Moolgarda Seheli) yang dikumpulkan dari penduduk kawasan Kali Remu di tiga titik yaitu bagian hulu, tengah dan muara/hilir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mikroplastik ditemukan di saluran pencernaan yaitu tipe fiber, film dan fragmen total jumlah mikroplastik 66 partikel. Berdasarkan hasil temuan bahwa persentase mikroplastik tertinggi dalam saluran pencernaan belanak adalah mikroplastik tipe fiber sebesar 53%, film 32%, dan mikroplastik tipe fragmen terendah yaitu 15%.
