Abstract

The Bintuni Basin is one of the largest hydrocarbon-bearing basins in Eastern Indonesia, although only a limited number of oil and gas fields are currently. Consequently, further investigation into its petroleum system, particularly the potential of its source rocks. In hydrocarbon exploration, characterizing source rock is critical to evaluating the presence of organic-rich strata capable of generating hydrocarbons. Geochemical analysis is a widely used method for assessing source rock potential, utilizing total organic carbon (TOC), rock-eval pyrolysis, and vitrinite reflectance data. In this study, geochemical data were obtained from one well and two outcrop samples to evaluate the quantity, quality, and thermal maturity of organic matter. The geochemical assessment of rock samples from four stratigraphic formations indicates that the Permian Ainim Formation exhibits the highest source rock potential. TOC values range from 1% to 80% with hydrogen index (HI) values range between 13 and 431 mg HC/g TOC classifying the formation as a good to excellent potential. The dominant organic matter consists of kerogen type II/III suggesting the potential for both oil and gas generation. Thermal maturity analysis indicates that the Ainim formation has reached the oil and gas generation window at depths of 8,075–8,420 feet. These findings demonstrate that the Ainim Formation represents a significant source rock within the Bintuni Basin, contributing valuable insights into the region's petroleum system and hydrocarbon prospectivity.

Abstract

Abstract

In the era of technological and information modernization, the need for information is one of the basic needs for human life. It makes various community groups develop ways of life to meet these needs. One of them was carried out by the people of Melung Village, who independently built an internet network in their village to obtain access to information from outside Melung Village. The difficult location and being in the mountains make this business known to many, so Melung Village is nicknamed the Internet Village or Digital Village. In its development, this embedded predicate, or nickname affects how people recognize themselves and represent their identity. This research wants to explore more deeply how the dynamics and formation of sociocultural identities for the community are located. This study uses ethnographic methods to obtain field data. Ethnography was chosen to obtain data from the perspective of cultural stakeholders, in this case, the people of Melung village. The results of this study show that the people of Melung Village do not deliberately embed the identity of the digital village but rather introduce the public to Melung Village, a remote village with good internet access. In its development, this identity is interpreted by the community not only as the identity of the village but also as the identity of the people of Melung Village.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of Indonesian Sharia Banking in advancing the halal food industry in Indonesia and determine the types of financing products used. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature, the data sources the author uses are primary and secondary data. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. The results of this research show that Bank Syariah Indonesia plays a role in developing the halal food industry in Indonesia through; (a) KUR financing products, namely BSI KUR Micro and BSI KUR Small. This funding also supports the development of halal food businesses for micro-entrepreneurs in the Tangerang Balaraja area. (b) Human Resources Development. These two products play a crucial role in advancing the halal food industry in the area and contributing to improving the economy of their customers. However, BSI KCP Tangerang Balaraja needs to supervise the use of financing so that it is actually used for business capital needs and not for consumtive needs.

Abstract

Technological developments have made various activities easier, including shopping. Through applications, users can make transactions without having to meet face-to-face with sellers. Although it provides convenience, this service does not always run perfectly. One example of a well-known e-commerce application in Indonesia is Shopee. This study analyzes the Shopee application because it significantly supports the Indonesian economy through digitizing trade. Data from 3,000 Shopee reviews obtained from the Google Play Store website in 2025 were analyzed using Natural Language Processing with the Naïve Bayes method, classifying reviews into positive and negative sentiment categories. From the labeling results, text from each sentiment category was extracted to generate essential and valuable information for decision-making. The sentiment classification using the Naïve Bayes Classifier achieved an accuracy rate of 81.30%. The findings of this study can serve as a foundation for enhancing customer satisfaction and comfort, as well as improving the quality of Shopee’s products and services, in line with consumer expectations.

Abstract

The significant number of visitors visiting the Sunan Bonang Tomb in Indonesia is believed to contribute to the commodification of sacred zones for religious tourism at the tomb. This study focused on exploring how sacred zones are transformed into religious tourism destinations at the Sunan Bonang tomb in Tuban, Indonesia. Qualitative research involved gathering field data through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Researchers conducted data triangulation to confirm the accuracy of the gathered data. The research results were examined using Foucault's perspectives through archaeological and genealogical approaches. This study identified key factors contributing to the commodification of Sunan Bonang's tomb for religious tourism, including: 1) the established religious tradition within Islamic communities that influence the occurrence of commodification, 2) government support aimed at enhancing the attraction of cultural products for religious tourism, and 3) the role of the foundation as the holder of management authority managing the commodification of Sunan Bonang's tomb for religious tourism. Commodification focuses more on creating sacred zones at the Sunan Bonang’s Tomb.

Abstract

Siswodipuran Subdistrict, located in Boyolali Regency, Central Java, is home to a number of historical colonial-era buildings that have yet to be systematically documented. A lack of public and governmental awareness and understanding regarding the historical value and economic potential of these heritage structures poses a significant challenge. This community engagement program aims to support the preservation and visual dissemination of these colonial buildings through digital media as a means of education, research, and strengthening local identity. The methods employed include lectures, discussions, guided historical scriptwriting, documentary video production, and online publication. The Social History Research Group of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sebelas Maret, in collaboration with community partners and the local government, produced a documentary video and media publications highlighting the historical potential of the Siswodipuran area. The outcomes of this program include popular articles, educational videos on YouTube, and increased community participation in cultural heritage preservation. It is expected that this initiative can serve as a model for local historical documentation and encourage the utilization of historical buildings as cultural and economic assets for the community.
