AbstrakPenelitian dalam artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai moral tokoh utama yang terkandung pada novel Janji karya Tere Liye. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, di mana subjek penelitian ini adalah tokoh utama novel Janji karya Tere Liye. Adapun tokoh utama dalam novel ini yaitu Bahar dan Tiga Sekawan (Hasan, Baso, dan Kaharuddin). Teknik pengumpulan data yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan teknik baca dan catat. Adapun hasil penelitian nilai moral yang ditemukan dalam tokoh utama Bahar yaitu kejujuran, rela berkorban, suka menolong dan peduli terhadap orang lain, dan memegang teguh janji dari perjalanan hidupnya, yang terkandung dalam novel Janji karya Tere Liye. Pada tokoh utama tiga sekawan (Hasan, Baso, dan Kaharuddin) yaitu mereka tetap kerja keras dan patang menyerah dalam menjalankan tugas hukuman dari Buya yaitu mencari keberadaan tokoh Bahar/Bahrun. Selama perjalanan mereka tetap bertanggung jawab terhadap menjalankan Ibadah agama dalam pencarian keberadaan tokoh Bahar/Bahrun. Dari hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui novel Janji karya Tere Liye telah ditemukan nilai moral pada tokoh utama dalam novel. Dengan demikian, peneliti memberikan saran agar pembaca khususnya siswa/i yang telah berusia minimal +15 dapat menjadikan novel ini sebagai bahan bacaan, hal ini karena pada novel yang diteliti ini sudah terkandung nilai moral pada tokoh utama. Sehingga, setelah membaca novel ini diharapkan dapat menanamkan nilai moral kepada pembacanya.AbstractThe research in this article aims to analyze the moral values of the main characters contained in the novel Promise by Tere Liye. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, where the subject of this research is the main character of the novel Promise by Tere Liye. The main characters in this novel are Bahar and Tiga Sekawan (Hasan, Baso, and Kaharuddin). The data collection technique applied in this research is using reading and note-taking techniques. The results of the research on the moral values found in the main character of Bahar are honesty, willing to sacrifice, like to help and care for others, and keep the promises from his life journey, which are contained in the novel Promise by Tere Liye. In the main characters, the three friends (Hasan, Baso, and Kaharuddin) are those who work hard and never give up in carrying out the punishment task from Buya, namely looking for the whereabouts of Bahar/Bahrun figures. During the trip they remained responsible for carrying out religious services in the search for the whereabouts of Bahar/Bahrun figures. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that through the novel Promise by Tere Liye, moral values have been found in the main character in the novel. Thus, the researcher suggests that readers, especially students who are aged at least +15, can use this novel as reading material, this is because the novel under study already contains moral values for the main character. So, after reading this novel, it is hoped that it can instill moral values in its readers.

Dalam film tentunya terdapat dialog yang dilakukan antar tokoh di film tersebut. Dialog antar tokoh sering mengundang rasa ingin tahu penonton. Dengan kajian pragmatik tentunya rasa ingin tahu penonton dapat terjawab. Dalam komunikasi antar manusia terkadang yang dikatakan penutur berbeda dengan yang dimaksudkan penutur. Selain harus memperhatikan konteks, penutur pun harus memiliki kesantunan dalam berbahasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk prinsip kesantunan yang terdapat dalam film Ali dan Ratu-ratu Queens karya Lucky Kuswandi dan mendeskripsikan implikasi prinsip kesantunan berbahasa yang terdapa dalam film terhadapat pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC) dan teknik catat sebagai teknik lanjutan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu ditemukan 37 data maksim, meliputi: 8 maksim kebijaksanaan, 7 maksim kedermawanan, 8 maksim penghargaan, 2 maksim kesederhanaan, 7 maksim permufakatan, dan 5 maksim kesimpatian. Dari hasil analisis fungsi maksim, dapat disimpulkan bahwa setiap maksim yang terdapat pada film Ali dan Ratu-Ratu Queens Karya Lucky Kuswandi berfungsi menghindari konflik, memastikan interaksi kooperatif, mengatur kesan, membangun kekuatan, memastikan kepatuhan, menunjukkan rasa hormat, dan bersikap baik.

This article aims to provide an initial view of the use of abusive words in the film "Bumi Manusia" and can be used as a reference in analyzing the use of abusive words in this film. Therefore, an analysis of the use of the word heinous in this film can provide a deeper understanding of the social conditions depicted in the film. Sociolinguistic studies study the relationship between language and society, and an analysis of the use of the word obscenity in the film "Bumi Manusia" can contribute to this field by enriching our understanding of language use in social contexts. Thus, research on the analysis of the use of the word heinous in the film "Bumi Manusia" from a sociolinguistic perspective is important to do to enrich the understanding of language and society in the context of the film. The research subject is the Earth of Mankind film with an analysis of vile or swear words that has not been studied much. Meanwhile, research analysis on the use of heinous words in the film Bumi Manusia: a sociolinguistic study focuses on the use of vicious words in dialogue in the film Bumi Manusia and how the use of these abusive words is influenced by the social context, such as the speaker’s social status and the communication situation that occurs. This study uses qualitative research as revealed by Bogdan and Taylor, which is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from the person or behavior observed by the researcher. To provide data, basic listening techniques are used with advanced free listening techniques and note taking techniques.

This research aims to describe and explain the form of language style used in Andrea Hirata's Ordinary People novel, one of which is the personification style contained in Andrea Hirata's Ordinary People novel. The approach in this study uses descriptive qualitative with data as the source of the novel Ordinary People by Andrea Hirata. The data collection technique in this study used the observing and noting method. The listening method of this research was by reading the contents of the novel and then listening to Andrea Hirata's Ordinary People novel to find personification language styles. The note-taking technique in this study was used to record listening results, namely the personification style of language found in the novel Ordinary People in the form of personification language style. The results of the study show that there are 12 personification language style data in Andrea Hirata's Ordinary People novel.

The purpose of this research is to describe the forms and functions of directive speech acts contained in the film "Nanti Kita Cerita tentang Hari Ini" directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko, and to utilize the results of the research as teaching materials for persuasion texts for grade VIII junior high school (SMP). This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data in this study are sentences containing elements of directive speech acts in the film "Later We Tell About Today". The data collection technique was carried out by reading, observing, and note-taking techniques. The instrument used is documentation. The results of the study found several types of directive speech acts divided into the function of commanding 1 utterance, the function of ordering 1 utterance, the function of requiring 1 utterance, the function of crossing 1 utterance. the function of requesting 1 utterance, the function of offering 1 utterance. The third is the form of a directive speech act of invitation which is divided into the function of inviting 1 speech, the function of urging 1 utterance. The fourth is the form of directive speech act of advice which is divided into the function of advising 1 utterance, the function of suggesting 1 utterance, the function appeals to 1 speech, the function calls for 1 utterance, the function remembers 1 utterance. The fifth is the form of directive criticism which is divided into 1 speech reprimanding function, 1 utterance satirical function, 1 utterance scolding function. The sixth form of directive prohibition which is divided into prohibiting functions 1 speech, function prevents 1 speech. The findings of this study were then incorporated into a lesson plan for teaching persuasive writing to eighth graders in junior high school, this was done because the aim of persuasive writing or dialogue is to get the audience to act in the way the writer or speaker wants them to. The linguistic characteristics of persuasive texts are related to the form and function of directive speech acts, which aim to convince the speech partner or listener to act according to the intent intended by the speaker. The purpose of preparing teaching materials in the form of handouts is to simplify subjects to make them easier during the learning process, and to arrange materials in a practical and interesting way for students. Data from the analysis of the form and function of directive speech acts in the film "Next We Tell About Today" informs the preparation of persuasive text teaching materials, which also take Basic Competence (KD) of the applicable Indonesian language curriculum and Competency Achievement Indicators (GPA).

This study examines the perspective of the role of women in the film "For the Good Name of the Campus" with the method of critical discourse analysis using the Sara Mills model. The research method used in this discussion is a qualitative descriptive method using Sara Mills' critical discourse analysis. Sara Mills takes a closer look at how the actors' positions appear in the text. Who positions himself as the narrator (subject) and who becomes the object being narrated, and sees how the position of the writer and the reader is positioned in the discourse. So, the research results reveal 5 scenes with subjects and objects.

A conflict is an argument or disagreement between two or more people. Political conflicts arose from the existence of political power. The essence of political power is society as an object. Conflict is part of social life and arises from personality differences arising from human interactions. The social conflict in this (Asma Nadia - true story) short story "cinta lelakibiasa" refers to external conflicts, especially social conflicts. This conflict initially arises due to the social status and social class conflict between the wealthy Nania and the poor Lafri. Nania's parents do not bless Rafli to live with Nania because because of this status Nania and Rafli's love becomes an obstacle. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe the values of character education in the novel Kado Terbaik by J.S Khairen.Â This research uses descriptive qualitative method with content analysis method. The data source of this research is the novel Kado Terbaik by J.S Khairen. The data collection technique is reading and writing technique. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the study, there are character values contained in the novel Kado Terbaik by J. S Khairen, including 6 excerpts. S Khairen, among others, 6 snippets of religious values that illustrate the character's adherence to religious teachings, 4 snippets of honest values that illustrate the character's honesty through words and actions, 1 snippet of tolerance values reflected in the attitude of the characters who show mutual respect despite differences in social status, 3 snippets of hard work values described through Rizki's character who tries to fulfill his own needs, 1 snippet of independent values reflected through Rizki's character who lives alone without depending on others. 4 snippets of curiosity values, 4 snippets of curiosity value reflected in the conversation between the characters, 1 excerpt of the value of respect for achievement reflected in the actions of Bang Toron's character, 3 snippets of friendly/communicative value reflected in the relationship between Rizka, Singlet, and Gembil, 2 snippets of peace-loving value reflected in the actions of Rani's father, 6 snippets of social care value reflected in the actions of the characters, and 2 snippets of responsibility value shown by Rizki's character. This study aims to describe the representation of indigenous women and gender inequality in the film Bumi Manusia and aims to add to being a reference for students in identifying, describing, analyzing, and motivating in studying film analysis in the form of review text to achieve the learning objectives listed in the 2013 curriculum. The method used is a qualitative inductive method for the purpose of building understanding in meaning. The qualitative approach is primarily aimed at exploring, describing, and explaining. Based on the collected data, eight indigenous representations and gender inequality of women were found in the film Bumi Manusia. The results of this study also show that the representation of indigenous women and gender inequality contained in the short story is still quite relevant to today's life.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the connotative meaning of the lyrics of the song “Sampai Jadi Debu” by Ananda Badudu. The research used is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data in this study is the meaning contained in a song. Data collection techniques were carried out by reading, observing, and taking notes. The instrument used is documentation. The results of the study show that the lyrics of the song “Sampai Jadi Debu” by Ananda Badudu contain connotative meanings related to eternal and eternal love. Through the use of strong and symbolic words and phrases, the verses of the song depict a very strong promise of loyalty and trust in a relationship.
