Abstract

The skill of making scientific presentations is a skill that must be mastered by current students, especially final year students who will soon be preparing their final project. The problem with Biology students as partners in this service is the lack of student ability to make effective scientific presentations. Preliminary analysis showed that 41% of students found it very difficult to present properly. The solution offered is to hold effective scientific presentation training with the aim of providing understanding and training students' skills in making scientific presentations and making good presentation media. The implementation of this training consists of 3 sessions namely material delivery sessions, independent work and simulations. The results achieved in this training activity are an increase in the participants' knowledge and skills in making presentation materials and presenting them in an effective presentation. In terms of participant satisfaction, it shows that this community service has an average score of 3.89 with very good/very satisfied criteria. .

Abstract

Practical activities are activities that play a big role in the implementation of biology learning, because this activity will really help students improve their skills in working with nature and the environment. This research aims to find out the implementation of class XI biology practicum at SMAN in terms of conformity with the basic competencies in the 2013 curriculum. This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Sampling for research subjects was carried out using cluster sampling with 10 schools as selected research subjects. The research results show that the implementation of biology practicum for class The practicum with the lowest implementation was KD 4.4 Presenting data from observations of tissue and organ structures in animals with a percentage of 37.5%, and the highest was KD 4.3 Presenting data from observations of tissue and organ structures in plants with a percentage of 85%. For the practicum implementation aspect, 30% of schools are in the very good category, 20% are in the good and sufficient category and 30% are in the very poor category..

Abstract

Development of Electronic Student Worksheets Based on Scientific Approach Plantae Material for Class X SMA Negeri 1 Kalukku. The research aims to develop an electronic worksheet based on a scientific approach to material plantae that meets practical criteria. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were biology teachers and students of class X IPA 1, SMA Negeri 1 Kalukku. Data was collected using several instruments, namely electronic worksheet validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaire validation sheets and teacher and student questionnaires. The results of the research show that the developed electronic worksheet product is practical. The practicality test results from the teacher's response were 91.46% (very practical) and students' responses were 85% (very practical). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the electronic worksheet products based on the scientific approach developed are practical.

Abstract

Rajungan (Portunus pelagis) merupakan kepiting laut yang banyak di jumpai di perairan Indonesia. Rajungan juga banyak dijumpai diperairan Sulawesi Selatan, salah satunya yaitu di pesisi pntai Dusun Kuri Caddi Kabupaten Maros. Rajungan menjadi mata pencaharian utama bagi masyarakat di Dusun Kuri Caddi. Berdasarkan observasi tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Universitas Negeri Makassar ditemukan permasalahan di daerah tersebut yaitu belum maksimalnya pemanfaatan potensi dari rajungan itu sendiri oleh masyarakat di Dusun Kuri Caddi khususnya bagi P-IRT Mama Muda sebagai Mitra. Tujuan dari Kegiatan adalah mengenalkan kepada masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan limbah cangkang rajungan menjadi bubuk kaldu rajungan, sehingga diharapkan melalui kegiatan ini memberi sumbangsi dalam peningkatan perekonomian masyarakat di Dusun Kuri Caddi. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini menunjukkan antusiaisme dari kelompok P-IRT Mama Muda mengikuti kegiatan ini. kelompok P-IRT Mama Muda mendapatkan pengetahuan baru terkait pengolahan cangkang rajungan menjadi bubuk kaldu rajungan, dan kelompok P-IRT Mama Muda sudah mampu mempraktekkan langsung proses pengolahannya.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of Developing Project-Based Learning Packages with the TPACK Framework on Biodiversity Materials . This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the results of developing project-based learning packages using the TPACK framework. This research was conducted at SMAN 08 Makassar in class X using the Pretest Posttest Control Group Design research design. This Project-Based Learning Package with the TPACK Framework is motivated by the lack of innovative teaching materials that are relevant to developments in the 21st century. This type of research is development research (R & D) and uses the 4D model development model. 4D stages consist of 4, namely (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop, (4) Disseminate. The learning packages have gone through the validation and practicalization stages with very satisfactory grades and are therefore suitable for use in learning process activities in the classroom, followed by testing the effectiveness of implementing project-based learning packages with the TPACK framework on this biodiversity material. Judging from the test scores of student learning outcomes, it is known that the learning packages that have been developed are effective with a score of 92.1%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of Learning Packages is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the obstacles faced by students in learning biology during the transition period in North Toraja Regency State High Schools. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research by distributing questionnaires related to the obstacles faced by students during biology learning during the transition period (online to offline). The population in this study was 2152 students in classes X and XI Science consisting of 10 high schools in North Toraja Regency. The sampling technique was carried out using cluster sampling based on regional divisions so that 4 schools were obtained representing each regional division. Determining the minimum sample size uses the Slovin formula to obtain results of 300 samples. The results of the analysis show that students' obstacles in learning biology during the transition period (online to offline) reached a percentage of 50% in the moderately constrained category.

Abstract

In producing effective learning, a teacher needs learning tools that can support the learning process in the classroom. For this reason, teachers need learning tools in the form of teacher guidebooks to help the learning process, especially learning biology. This study aims to produce a learning unit with a flipped classroom learning setting based on guided inquiry on circulatory system material for class XI SMA/MA. This research is a development research that adapts the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis stages, namely needs analysis, content analysis, structure analysis, and objective analysis, the design stage is carried out by designing products consisting of cover design and content design, the development stage is tested for validity by an expert validator, the implementation stage is carried out by applying the product with practicality and effectiveness tests, and the evaluation stage is carried out by re-evaluating the product based on the practicality test. The developed learning unit is equipped with core competencies, basic competencies, learning materials, flipped classroom learning stages, guided inquiry learning scenarios, learning assessments, and student worksheets. The results showed practicality with an average score on the teacher and student response questionnaire, namely 86.6 and 84.02, included in the practical category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray dengan berbantuan media pembelajaran Teka-Teki Silang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIPA 1 di UPT SMAN 5 Jeneponto. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar yang diberikan sebanyak dua kali, yaitu pada akhir siklus I dan akhir siklus II. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pada ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 63% pada siklus I dan 87% pada siklus II. Hasil pada penelitan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray berbantuan media pembelajaran Teka-Teki Silang memberikan pengaruh yang positif pada hasil belajar Biologi peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 1 di UPT SMAN 5 Jeneponto.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk melihat adanya peningkatan hasil belajar menggunakan Pendekatan Proses Kelompok (Group Process Aproach). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) atau (Classroom Action Research) dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI MIPA 3 SMAN 8 Bone yang berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pilihan ganda dengan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil belajar pra siklus menunjukkan jika terdapat 14 siswa atau sebesar 47% siswa mencapai nilai KKM. Pada siklus I terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar yakni sebesar 53% atau 16 siswa mencapai nilai KKM, dan pada siklus II sebesar 77% atau 23 siswa mencapai nilai KKM. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan jika pendekatan proses kelompok dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI MIPA 3 SMAN 8 Bone.

Abstract

Hasil observasi yang dilakukan di SMA 11 SIDRAP terkait motivasi peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran tergolong renah. Hal ini yang mendasari penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningnkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas X IPA SMA 11 SIDRAP pada materi Ekosistem dengan menggunakan mode pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Group Investigation. Penilitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus. Partisipan dari penelitian ini sebanyak 22 orang peserta didik kelas X IPA di SMA 11 SIDRAP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belaar peserta didik. Pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata capaian sebesar 69,3% dengan kriteria tinggi. Setelah penerapan metode pada Siklus II, motivasi belajar biologi siswa mengalami peningkatan, dengan capaian indikator rata-rata mencapai 80,4% dengan kriteria tinggi. Dengan demikian, dapat kita liat adanya peningkatan persentase rata-rata sebesar 11,1%
