Abstract

Multigenerational families living under one roof create a unique caregiving environment that can influence early childhood development in both positive and negative ways. This study aims to describe the developmental characteristics of young children living in multigenerational family settings in Central Kalimantan. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with research conducted in two regions North Barito Regency and Murung Raya Regency. Primary data were collected from eight multigenerational families, consisting of four families in Teweh Baru District and four families in Puruk Cahu City. The findings reveal that children engage in diverse daily activities such as independent play, peer play, watching television, and using digital devices. Parents and grandparents also introduce early moral values, religious practices, and basic academic skills. For children attending preschool, formal learning activities also contribute to their developmental experiences. These daily routines collectively shape multiple domains of development, including cognitive, motor, language, social, and emotional growth. The study highlights that family dynamics, caregiving practices, and environmental stimulation within multigenerational households play a significant role in supporting or constraining early childhood development.

Abstract

Purpose: This service aimed to empower PKK members in Sungai Buaya Village by providing practical knowledge and skills to process butterfly pea flowers (Clitoria ternatea) into healthy herbal drinks. The goal was to promote a healthy lifestyle and create opportunities for home-based businesses using local resources. Methodology/approach: The method used was a participatory and educational workshop. Data were collected through observation, pre-surveys, structured questionnaires, and open interviews to evaluate the effectiveness of the training. Results/findings: The training successfully increased participants’ understanding of the health benefits of butterfly pea flowers and their ability to process them into herbal drinks. All 20 participants stated that they were able to make and package the product independently after the session. The evaluation showed a 100% positive response in knowledge, skills, and satisfaction levels, indicating strong community enthusiasm and potential for entrepreneurial development. Conclusion: The service effectively enhanced the participants' knowledge, skills, and motivation to utilize butterfly pea flowers for health and economic purposes. The success of the training suggests that similar community-based programs should be expanded and sustained, especially with additional sessions on ready-to-drink product development and small-scale marketing strategies. Limitations: Kendala utama meliputi durasi pelatihan yang singkat serta keterbatasan fasilitas yang menghambat penerapan mandiri hasil pelatihan. Contributions: This program contributes to empowering women through local resource utilization and provides a practical model for participatory training to develop community-based herbal products.

Abstract

General Background: Public sector organizations increasingly adopt e-government solutions to enhance administrative efficiency and employee discipline, particularly in attendance management systems. Specific Background: The Gunungkidul Regency Government replaced a manual attendance system—prone to manipulation, errors, and delayed reporting—with the MOBSI mobile presence system to improve discipline among State Civil Apparatus (ASN). Knowledge Gap: Despite growing adoption of mobile attendance systems, empirical evidence on their effectiveness in strengthening discipline and supervision in local government institutions remains limited. Aims: This study aims to analyze the implementation of the MOBSI mobile presence system and its role in improving ASN discipline in Gunungkidul Regency. Results: Using a qualitative case study approach involving key officials of the Pamong Praja Police Unit, the findings indicate that MOBSI enables real-time, GPS-based attendance monitoring, enhances supervisory control, simplifies data recording, and contributes to consistently high attendance rates throughout 2024. Novelty: This study provides contextual evidence of how a geolocation-based mobile attendance system functions as both a technological and managerial instrument for discipline enforcement in local government. Implications: The findings suggest that integrating mobile attendance systems within e-government frameworks can strengthen accountability, improve work discipline, and ultimately enhance the quality of public services in regional governments. Highlights: Digital Attendance Innovation: MOBSI replaces manual attendance with a GPS-based mobile system to ensure accurate and real-time monitoring. Discipline and Accountability: The system strengthens ASN discipline by reducing manipulation and improving supervisory control. E-Government Impact: MOBSI supports administrative efficiency and enhances the quality of public services in local government. Keywords: Mobile Attendance System, ASN Discipline, E-Government, GPS-Based Monitoring, Public Service Performance
