Abstract

Kapasitas petani merupakan kemampuan atau keterampilan petani mencapai tujuan usaha secara memadai dan berkelanjutan. Tingkat kapasitas petani disebut actionable learning mencangkup keseluruhan dari berbagai proses belajar bagi petani, saling berhubungan baik bagi individu maupun kelompok. Petani berketerampilan tinggi sudah seharusnya akan mampu mencapai keberhasilan kelanjutan pertanian, berlaku begitupun untuk sebaliknya. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui faktor – faktor berhubungan dengan kapasitas petani kopi pada penanganan panen dan mengetahui tingkat kapasitas petani kopi pada penanganan panendi Kelurahan Sekincau, Kecamatan Sekincau, Kabupaten Lampung Barat. Responden adalah petani dibawah binaan penyuluh menggunakan jumlah 49 petani kopi sebagai sampel. Penelitian dilaksanakanpada Kelurahan Sekincau, Kecamatan Sekincau, Kabupaten Lampung Barat perbulan Februari – Maret 2022. Analisi hubunganrank spearmanadalah teknik analisi data yangdigunakan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya interaksi antar variabel dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian analisis hubunganmenerangkan bahwa pendidikan non formal dantaraf kosmopolitan berhubungan secara positif terhadap tingkat kapasitas petani kopi di Kelurahan Sekincau, Kecamatan Sekincau, Kabupaten Lampung Barat. Abstract

The distribution of subsidized fertilizers is one of the problems experienced by farmers, in thisregard the Province of Lampung initiated the Program Kartu Petani Berjaya(KPB). Program KPB is an innovation to minimize errors in the distribution of subsidized fertilizers. In implementing the Program KPB , an extension agent can play a role in the adoption of Program KPB Program innovations by farmers. This study aims to determine the role of extension workers in increasing the adoption of farmer innovations in the implementation of the Program Kartu Petani Berjaya (KPB). This research was conducted in Gadingrejo District, Pringsewu Regency. Respondents were 46 farmers from representative farmer groups in 6 different villages with the highest rice production yields based on the target area of each extension workers. The results showed that the role of extension workers in this study was in the medium category, the level of adoption of farmer innovations in the implementation of the Program KPB was in the medium category, and from the research it was known that the role of extension agents had an effect on increasing the adoption of farmer innovations in the implementation of the Program KPB in Gadingrejo District.

Abstract

Farmers' decision-making also influences the development of superior varieties. This is related to the properties possessed by superior varieties. This study aims to determine the characteristics of rice farmers in selecting varieties of rice seeds and the factors that influence the farmers' decision-making process. This research was conducted in Gedong Tataan District, Karang Anyar Village, Pesawaran Regency from October to December 2022. This research was conducted using a survey method, the respondents in this study amounted to 25 farmers who were taken purposively (purposive). The hypothesis put forward in this study is that there is a significant relationship between farmer characteristics including age, education level, experience, dependents, land area, seed quality and seed resistance to pests and diseases. Descriptive analysis of data and hypothesis testing using the Rank's Spearman correlation method. The results showed that the factors that influence farmers' decisions in choosing rice varieties are mostly in the low classification. The results of the Rank's Spearman correlation test showed that farmers' decisions in choosing rice seed varieties had no significant relationship with age, education level, experience, dependents and land area, while seed quality and seed resistance to pests and diseases had a significant relationship with farmers' decisions in choosing rice seed varieties.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Motivation is an impulse that arises in a person consciously or unconsciously to carry out an action with a specific purpose. This study aims to determine the level of youth motivation to work in the agricultural sector and the factors related to youth motivation to work in the agricultural sector and this research was conducted in Gedong Tataan District. The research method used was a survey method with a population of 100 young farmers. Based on the total population of young farmers, the total sample size was determined using the Frank Lynch formula (Sugiarto, 2003), so that a total sample of 43 respondents was obtained. The results showed that the level of motivation of young farmers in working in the agricultural sector in Bernung Village and Taman Sari was in the high category, this was evidenced by the fulfillment of physiological needs, safety needs, social needs, esteem needs and self-actualization needs. Factors related to the motivation of young farmers to work in the agricultural sector are land area variable (X2), land ownership status variable (X3), experience variable (X5) and assistance variable (X6). Factors that are not related to the motivation of young farmers to work in the agricultural sector include education variables (X1), distance to residence (X4) and non-formal education variables (X7). Abstract

The level of income determines the welfare of fishermen. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the income level of squid fishermen and household incomse with the condition of squid fishermen. This study was conducted in Sukajaya Lempasing Village, Teluk Pandan District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung. The results of the study showed that squid fisherman households with income above the minimum wage (prosperous) value have side jobs that can increase their income to meet the daily needs. The welfare level of squid fishermen is in the poor to moderate category. Education is a human right for every Indonesian citizen, thus every citizen has the right to get a proper education. Education is an important indicator in measuring household welfare. The difference in the education level will certainly affect the level of welfare obtained by each household. Most of the squid fishermen are in a prosperous condition because they have high scores on every welfare indicator, especially on education indicators, consumption levels and patterns as well as housing and environmental indicators.

Abstract

The problem of agriculture and the level of helplessness of farmers in developing their farming is one of the causes of weak capability building and institutional farmers. Support from the role of stakeholders is the spearhead of success in increasing the capacity of farmers. The problem of agriculture is not just a matter of technology but also how the dissemination of information reaches farmers who are numerous and widely spread, until farmers participate. Dissemination of information can be done through online media. Online media on the Internet is becoming a trend and there is no denying the benefits provided by these online media. The benefits provided are in the form of easy access to information and emerging issues. Online media that is being widely discussed by the public are Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and Telegram. This study aims to determine the role of stakeholders (private companies) in increasing the capacity of farmers through online media. The study was conducted in Kecamatan Gisting dan Sumberejo Subdistricts located in Kabupaten Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province. Determination of location is done intentionally (purposive sampling) with the consideration that Kec. Gisting and Sumberejo. Determination of the role of the respondent private extension (stakeholder) which is directed at the private instructor PT. DuPont Indonesia (Pioneer) and PT. Syngenta Indonesia is done intentionally (purposive sampling). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The type of data in the study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained directly from informants, while secondary data were obtained through records, reports, documents, photographs and other written material related to research. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, document study (documentation), and triangulation or combination. The method of data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, namely analysis while in the field which included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification (conclusion drawing / verrification). The results of the study concluded that the role of stakeholders can be in 5 ways namely policy creator, coordinator, facilitator, implementor, and accelerator. Farmers agree that the role of stakeholders consisting of private extension has provided good support and is very popular in their routine visits and through the demonstration plot and field school program by farmers. The role of stakeholders (private instructors) plays a role in terms of facilitators and accelerators. Furthermore, farmers agree that the use of online media in the form of whattsapp groups has functioned and helped in increasing the ability of agribusiness and increasing the capacity of vegetable farmers in Kabupaten Tanggamus, as well as making it easy to get information directly from private extension workers.

Abstract

The use of Combine harvesters as an innovation in an effort to reduce yield loss does not always receive a good response. It is the job of the Agricultural Extension Officer, as a field implementer in the field of agriculture that is directly related, to devote all encouragement to farmers to be moved and able to change their way of thinking, work steps, and respond to innovation developments, especially the use of combine harvesters. The purpose of this research is to determine the role of agricultural extension workers in the use of combine harvesters. The research was conducted in Purbolinggo District, East Lampung Regency. The data in this study were taken in November 2021. The sample or respondents in this study consisted of 30 farmers in Purbolinggo District who were selected by purposive sampling. While the research method used is a survey, data analysis is done both descriptively and quantitatively. From the results of the research conducted, it shows that the role of agricultural extension workers as initiators, motivators, and facilitators is in the high category. In addition, there is a correlation between the role of the agricultural extension worker as an initiator, the role of the extension worker as a motivator, and the role of the worker as a facilitator on the quality, quantity of yield, time, cost, farmer's income, and environmental friendliness, except for the role of the extension worker as an initiator on the quality of the crops.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of behavior of organic rice farmers in carrying out environmentally friendly rice cultivation, the relationship between farmer group support and other factors related to the behavior of organic rice farmers in carrying out environmentally friendly rice cultivation in Purwo Kencono Village, East Lampung. This research was conducted in Purwo Kencono Village, Sekampung Udik District, East Lampung Regency in October 2022. The respondents in this study were members of the Multi Baliwo farmer group with 30 people in total This study uses the census method with a descriptive-quantitative approach using data testing using non-parametric statistics using Spearman's Rank correlation test. The results showed that the behavior level of organic rice farmers was in the medium category. In this study, there are four factors that influence the behavior of farmers, namely: age, education level, and length of farming, but the results of the Spearman Rank correlation test show that only farmer group support is related to the behavior of organic rice farmers in carrying out environmentally friendly rice cultivation with a significance value of 0.487. ** which means the correlation strength is quite strong. Farmer groups have tried to maximize their role for organic rice farmers, especially in improving the behavior of organic rice farmers in carrying out environmentally friendly rice cultivation

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kinerja penyuluh pertanian di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan dan penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari-April 2021. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 20 penyuluh pertanian dan 76 petani binaan penyuluh pertanian. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dan analisis data menggunakan analisis Rank Spearman dan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kinerja penyuluh pertanian di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan berada pada kategori baik. Faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tingkat kinerja penyuluh di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan adalah lama bekerja di pertanian pertanian, tingkat motivasi dalam pertanian pertanian, ketersediaan sarana dan fasilitas penyuluh pertanian, metode dan teknik yang digunakan oleh penyuluh pertanian. untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tingkat kinerja penyuluh pertanian di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Abstract

Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan partisipasi ibu rumah tangga dalam program Kawasan Rumah Pangan Lestari (KRPL). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Kemiling Kota Bandarlampung. Pengambilan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2021. Responden penelitian ini adalah 30 ibu rumah tangga yang tergabung dalam kelompok wanita tani. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis sensus dan data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat partisipasi anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani Mekar Agung termasuk dalam kategori sedang (56,67 persen). Ibu rumah tangga tidak dapat sepenuhnya mengikuti kegiatan pada program KRPL karena mengerjakan pekerjaan rumahtangga, seperti memasak, membersihkan rumah, dan mengurus anak-anak. Faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan partisipasi ibu rumah tangga, yaitu pengetahuan program, umur, motivasi anggota, sifat kosmopolit, dan penghasilan suami.
