Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop students book for science learning that contains the value of divinity and environment devotion for junior high school students. The subjects of this research were design and material experts and students of class VII-1 Global Madani Junior High School. Development method was adapted from the development model of learning media by Suyanto and Sartinem (2009) which contains of seven stages of development. The results of feasibility tests by design expert and material expert showed that the design quality of the book was excellent (89%), and the material quality of the book was good enough (56%). Furthermore, from the results of the trial test showed that for the appealing aspect of the students book with very attractive category (3,51), for the easeness aspect with very easy to use category (3,36), and for the usefullness aspect with very usefull category (3,35). The results of the effectiveness test showed that the book was effective for science learning.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan buku siswa pembelajaran sains bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan lingkungan bagi siswa SMP. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu ahli desain dan ahli materi serta siswa kelas VII-1 SMP Global Madani. Metode pengembangan diadaptasi dari model pengembangan media pembelajaran oleh Suyanto dan Sartinem (2009) yang meliputi tujuh tahapan pengembangan. Hasil uji kelayakan oleh ahli desain dan ahli materi didapatkan bahwa kualitas design buku sangat baik (89%), dan kualitas materi buku cukup baik (56%). Selanjutnya, dari hasil uji coba pemakaian diperoleh bahwa untuk aspek kemenarikan buku siswa dengan kategori sangat menarik (3,51), untuk aspek kemudahan dengan kategori sangat mudah digunakan (3,36) dan untuk aspek kemanfaatan dengan kategori sangat bermanfaat (3,35). Hasil uji keefektifan menunjukkan bahwa buku efektif untuk pembelajaran sains.Kata kunci: buku siswa, nilai kecintaan lingkungan, nilai ketuhanan, pengembangan.

Abstract

Learning process need an implementation of some learning inovation to help student reach their education’s goal. This research compared the critical thinking skills and the learning outcome of physics among the learning model of empirical inductive learning cycle with modified free discovery–inquiry. The purpose of this research to determine, (1) an average differences of critical thinking ability between the learning model of empirical-inductive learning cycle and modified free discovery-inquiry; (2) an average differences of learning outcome of physics between the learning model of empirical-inductive learning cycle and modified free discovery-inquiry. This research was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2012/2013 at the SMP N 3 Bandarlampung. The population in this research were all students of class VIII. The sample is consisted of two classes which is taken by using cluster random sampling technique. The samples are VIIIC and VIIID. The analysis technique of Learning outcomes data was using N-gain scores, while critical thinking skills data was analyzed using percentage grades. Based on the results of the test, the average score of student’s critical thinking skills in the empirical inductive learning cycle class by 66.26% and the class of modified free-inquiry discovery by 75.35%. For learning outcomes, empirical inductive learning cycle class earned an average N-gain learning outcomes of 0.67 and the class of modified free-inquiry discovery earned 0.76. Thus, these results indicate that the average of critical thinking skills and learning outcome in the modified class free discovery-inquiry is higher than the class of empirical inductive learning cycle.Keywords : Critical Thinking Skills, Learning Outcome, Empirical InductiveLearning Cycle, and Modified Free Discovery Inquiry.

Abstract

In accordance with the concept of 2013 curriculum, student book used in learning strengthened the competence of the students knowledges, skills, and characters. The research was to develop the student book in science learning divinity and love for the environment the value contents. The development began with the analysis and identification of resource requirements. Furthermore, the identification of the product specification was developed, then product development. Internal expert judgement, stated that the product good as a medium of learning. External user judgement, stated that the student book was attractive in a good quality with a score of 3.25; in a very good quality ease with score 3.36; and a very good quality usefulness with a score of 3.46; and effectively used in learning the percentage of student learning outcomes by 80% completed the KKM.Sesuai dengan konsep kurikulum 2013, buku siswa digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk memperkuat kompetensi siswa dari sisi pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan karakter. Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengembangkan buku siswa dalam pembelajaran sains bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan. Pengembangan diawali dengan analisis kebutuhan dan identifikasi sumber daya. Selanjutnya dilakukan identifikasi spesifikasi produk yang akan dikembangkan, kemudian dilakukan pengembangan produk. Uji internal oleh ahli, dinyatakan bahwa produk layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Uji eksternal oleh pengguna, dinyatakan bahwa buku siswa memiliki kualitas kemenarikan baik dengan skor 3,25; kualitas kemudahan sangat baik dengan skor 3,36; dan kualitas kebermanfaatan sangat baik dengan skor 3,46; serta efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan persentase hasil belajar siswa sebesar 80% tuntas KKM.Kata kunci: buku siswa, nilai kecintaan lingkungan, nilai ketuhanan

Abstract

Observation results showed that SMPTN 15 TKBM Bandar Lampung didn’t have the tool because of fund limit. On the other hand, the teacher and students really need the demonstrating tool for learning pressure lesson. Therefore, the aim of this developmental research is to produce demonstrating tool using tools and materials from surrounding environment, to know how the demonstrating tool that based on low cost technology for science learning on pressure material with student worksheet, and to know the effectiveness of demonstrating tool learning which was made. The development based on Borg's and Gall’s developmental model which procedures are consisting of ten steps. Expert tests result revealed that the product was appropriate with theory and suitable to be used. The result of main field test and operational field test indicated that demonstrating tool on pressure with guide of lab worksheet were effective to be used as learning media.Observasi menunjukkan bahwa SMPTN 15 TKBM Bandar Lampung belum memiliki alat peraga dikarenakan keterbatasan dana. Sedangkan guru dan siswa sangat memerlukan alat peraga pada pembelajaran materi tekanan. Sehingga, tujuan pengembangan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan alat peraga menggunakan alat dan bahan dari lingkungan sekitar, mengetahui bagaimana alat peraga berbasis teknologi murah untuk pembelajaran IPA materi tekanan disertai LKS, dan mengetahui efektivitas alat peraga pembelajaran yang dibuat. Pengembangan mengacu pada model pengembangan Borg dan Gall yang prosedurnya terdiri dari sepuluh langkah. Hasil uji ahli menunjukkan produk telah sesuai dengan teori dan layak digunakan. Hasil uji lapangan utama dan uji lapangan operasional menunjukkan bahwa alat peraga tekanan beserta LKS panduan praktikum efektif untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.Kata kunci: alat peraga, pengembangan, tekanan, teknologi murah.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the difference of student learning outcomes between using virtual laboratory worksheet and conventional worksheet in the topic about physical optics especially in 3 aspects; cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The research design used Pretest Posttest Equivalent Group Design. The data had been tested by using Group Learning Outcomes Technique, N-Gain Analysis, Normality Test and Mann-Whitney Test. Based on the result of hypothetical test showed that there are the difference of student learning outcomes through using virtual laboratory worksheet and conventional worksheet on cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. Learning outcome in cognitive aspect using virtual laboratory worksheet is higher than conventional worksheet with average value of N-Gain is 0.38 (low criteria). But the average of learning outcomes in affective and psychomotor aspects are lower than using conventional worksheet.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara menggunakan LKS berbasis laboratorium virtual dengan LKS konvensional pada materi optik fisis khususnya pada 3 ranah; kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Pretest Posstest Equivalent Group Design. Data diuji dengan Teknik Pengelompokkan Hasil Belajar, Analisis N-gain, Uji Normalitas dan Mann-Whitney Test. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar menggunakan LKS berbasis laboratorium virtual dengan LKS konvesional pada ranah kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Hasil belajar ranah kognitif menggunakan LKS berbasis laboratorium virtual lebih tinggi dibandingkan LKS konvensional dengan rata-rata N-gain 0,038 (kriteria rendah), tetapi rata-rata hasil belajar afektif dan psikomotor lebih rendah dibandingkan menggunakan LKS konvensional.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, LKS, laboratorium virtual, konvensional, optik fisis

Abstract

Learning Physics often not reached of KKM. Inaccessibility of KKM by most of student showed less concept skill. The aims of the research (1) to investigate difference of average of students Fluid Static concept’s skill after and before being given feedback, and (2) investigate the increasing students skill of Fluid Static concept after being given feedback. Design that used Posttest-Only Control Design. Result of this research showed that there was difference average of students Fluid Static concept’s skill after and before being given feedback and there was a significant increasing student's concept skill after being given feedback by using CTL model, which increased the average score about 22%. The average score of concept skill on experimental class was 73.77 and control class was 55.74.Pembelajaran fisika seringkali tidak mencapai KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal). Ketidaktercapaian KKM oleh sebagian besar siswa menunjukkan rendahnya penguasaan konsep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata penguasaan konsep Fluida Statis antara menggunakan feedback dengan tidak menggunakan feedback, (2) mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan konsep Fluida Statis setelah diberi feedback. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Posttest-Only Control Design. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan rata-rata penguasaan konsep Fluida Statis siswa SMA antara menggunakan feedback dengan tidak menggunakan feedback, terjadi peningkatan signifikan penguasaan konsep siswa setelah diberi feedback melalui model CTL sebesar 22 %. Rata-rata nilai penguasaan konsep pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 73,77 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 55,74.Kata kunci: umpan balik (feedback), model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning (CTL), penguasaan konsep

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine the differences in learning outcomes of students knowledge and skills of science between the discovery learning model with the inquiry learning model. The populations in this research were students at SMPN 20 Bandar Lampung. Data of student science learning outcomes were obtained through observation and tests. Based on the test results of data analysis using independent sample t-test, there were the differences in students science knowledge and skills between the discovery learning model with the inquiry learning model. In discovery learning model, students science knowledge was higher than using the inquiry learning model, while students science skills of inquiry learning model was higher than discovery learning model.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar pengetahuan dan keterampilan sains siswa antara model pembelajaran discovery dengan inquiry. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 20 Bandar Lampung. Data hasil belajar sains siswa diperoleh melalui observasi dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-tes bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan dan keterampilan sains siswa antara model pembelajaran discovery dengan inquiry. Pada model pembelajaran discovery pengetahuan sains siswa lebih tinggi dibandingkan menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry. Sementara pada model pembelajaran inquiry, keterampilan sains siswa lebih tinggi dari pada model pembelajaran discovery.Kata kunci: discovery, hasil belajar, inquiry, keterampilan

Abstract

Students book through an integrated approach STEM based guided inquiry were needed to enhance the quality of learning physics material. The purpose of this study was to produce a students book with an integrated approach to STEM-based guided inquiry on the material of heat, describe the attractiveness, convenience, and the benefits of the product. This study used research method and development which were consisted of analysis of necessity, identification of resource, identification of product spesification, product development, internal test, external test, effectivity test, and production. The result of the study showed that the students book development was interesting, very useful in learning process, and effective to be used as a learning material because 83.3% students passed minimum standard of value (KKM).Buku siswa dengan pendekatan terpadu STEM berbasis inkuiri terbimbing sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan mutu atau kualitas pembelajaran fisika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan buku siswa dengan pendekatan terpadu STEM berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi kalor, mendeskripsikan kemenarikan, kemudahan, kemanfaatan, dan keefektifan produk. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian dan pengembangan yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, identifikasi sumber daya, identifikasi spesifikasi produk, pengembangan produk, uji internal, uji eksternal, uji efektifitas, dan produksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku siswa yang dikembangkan menarik untuk digunakan, mudah untuk digunakan, sangat bermanfaat dalam pembelajaran, dan produk pengembangan efektif digunakan sebagai bahan ajar yang ditunjukkan oleh ketuntasan belajar siswa sebanyak 83,3% memenuhi KKM.Kata Kunci: buku siswa, inkuiri terbimbing, kalor, STEM, pengembangan.

Abstract

There is research conducted and development that aims to develop learning tools in the form of value-laden syllabus and lesson plans divinity and love for the environment. Development is done by adopting a model development that consists of a potter needs analysis, initial product development, validation specialists, product revision, and field tests. The study population includes all students of class VII at SMPN 1 Purbolinggo, sample classes VII B and VII C. Thus 59 field tests aimed at students who are divided into 2 classes the school year 2013/2014 field test results that demonstrating the value-laden learning divinity and love of learning environment is effective in 100% of students ,which have completed the test KKM with the overall learning outcomes criteria well.Telah dilakukan penelitian dan pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berupa Silabus dan RPP bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan mengadopsi model pengembangan potter yang terdiri dari analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan produk awal, validasi ahli, revisi produk, dan uji lapangan. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMPN 1 Purbolinggo, sampel penelitian siswa kelas VII B dan VII C. Uji lapangan ditujukan kepada 59 siswa yang dibagi dalam 2 kelas tahun ajaran 2013/2014 hasil uji lapangan menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran 100 % siswa uji telah tuntas KKM dengan hasil belajar secara keseluruhan berkriteria baik.Kata kunci : nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan, pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran.

Abstract

The effevtiveness of using assessment rubrics IF-AT (Immediate Feedback Assessment Technique) for the learning outcomes. Teachers in assessing students usually use the conventional way, by using the conventional multiple choice. Assessment in the conventional way deemed less effective, to overcome these problems it is necessary to be given a new assessment techniques, one of which is the assessment rubric IF-AT. The effectiveness of the application of assessment rubrics IF-AT in improving student learning outcomes should be determined by comparing it with the conventional multiple choice (non IF-AT), the research conducted by implementing the use of assessment rubric IF-AT on Archimedes’s law materilas. The results of this research show that there was a significant differences between the classes that use the rubric asesemen IF-AT and Non IF-AT, where the application of the assessment rubric IF-AT is more effective in improving student learning outcomes assessment techniques compared to conventional multiple choice (non-IF-AT).Keywords: effectiveness, assessment, IF-AT (Immediate Feedback Assessment Technique), learning outcomes.
