Abstract

Berdasarkan MDPJ 2024, penentuan tebal perkerasan dilakukan melalui analisis umur rencana, distribusi lalu lintas, pertumbuhan lalu lintas kumulatif, serta evaluasi daya dukung tanah.

Abstract

Abstract

The Pontianak–Aruk bus route serves a strategic role in supporting accessibility and mobility in Sambas Regency, particularly in connecting to the Aruk Border Crossing Post (PLBN). The growing population and increasing tourism activity have heightened the demand for safe, affordable, and efficient public transportation. This study analyzes passenger characteristics, estimates Vehicle Operating Costs (VOC), and determines the optimal fleet size. Primary data were collected through observations, interviews, and surveys conducted at the Pontianak and Aruk terminals over three days, while secondary data were obtained from relevant agencies. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, the analysis included load factor, VOC, and fleet requirements based on the break-even point. Results show that most passengers are aged 21–30 years, traveling mainly for homecoming, with affordability as the key factor in choosing buses. The average load factor was 0.63, with 28 passengers per trip; however, headways were irregular and fell below service standards. Operating costs totaled IDR 592,358,000 per year, and the optimal fleet size was determined to be three units, compared to the existing four. These findings suggest the need for fleet adjustment to enhance efficiency and service quality in cross-border public transport.

Abstract

The increase in traffic volume in urban areas often triggers various problems, especially at Road intersection points that have a high level of interaction between vehicles. One of the locations that experience these problems is the intersection with the island of traffic without signal on Jl. Tebu-Jl. Tabrani Ahmad, City Of Pontianak. This study aims to analyze the performance of the intersection in the existing condition and project its performance in the next five years (2030), as well as formulate alternative treatment that can improve the smoothness of traffic. The analysis method refers to Indonesian road capacity guidelines (PKJI) 2023 and modeling using software PTV VISSIM. The data collected include intersection geometry, traffic volume, and vehicle speed. Traffic volumes were obtained through CCTV recordings for three consecutive days, then processed and presented in the form of tables and graphs for easy interpretation. The results of the existing condition analysis showed that the degree of saturation (DS) reached 0.407 with an average delay of 9.539 seconds (Level of Service/LOS B) based on PKJI, while VISSIM simulation resulted in a delay of 12.54 seconds (LOS B). The five-year projection (2030) shows an increase in DS to 0.878 with a delay of 15.177 seconds (LOS C) from PKJI, and 23.35 seconds (LOS C) from VISSIM, which indicates a decrease in Junction performance as traffic grows. Two handling alternatives were analyzed, namely the construction of roundabouts and the implementation of traffic flow management. VISSIM simulation shows that the roundabout can reduce the delay to 14.31 seconds with a queue length of 20.34 m (LOS B), while the flow management produces a delay of 11.81 seconds with a queue of 13.14 m (LOS B). This result confirms that both alternatives are able to improve the performance of the intersection compared to the projected condition without handling, so that it can be a technical recommendation for urban traffic planning in Pontianak.

Abstract

As the capital city of Kalimantan Barat, Pontianak serves as a center for government, trade, industry, and services. This role contributes to high land transportation mobility between Pontianak and Sintang Regency, increasing vehicle volume on the national road connecting the two regions. Consequently, the traffic accident rate on this road segment is relatively high and involves various types of vehicles. This research analyzes the traffic accident rate based on transportation modes to formulate mitigation strategies. The analysis includes categorizing accident characteristics and calculating accident rates based on the incident number and vehicle types. The findings indicate that motorcycles account for the highest number of traffic accidents, whereas buses have the lowest accident rate. The road segment with the highest accident rate is the Tebelian "“ Sintang Limits section, with a Rate of Accidents (RA) of 0,642 in 2023. Additionally, motorcycles recorded the highest accident rate on the same road segment, with an RA of 1,101 in 2023. of the road segment length influences the accident rate, where longer road sections tend to have lower accident rates despite a high number of accidents. Mitigation efforts include improving road infrastructure, enhancing traffic safety facilities, and increasing public awareness of safe driving practices.

Abstract

The research assessed the condition of the Sei Duri-Mempawah road segment using the International Roughness Index (IRI) to determine surface roughness. Two smartphone applications, Roadbump and Roadroid, were evaluated against traditional laser profilometers to measure IRI values. The results indicate that at a speed of 20 km/h, the Roadbump application showed that 26% of the left lane was in good condition, with moderate, slightly damaged, and severely damaged segments accounting for 68%, 4%, and 2%, respectively. For Roadroid at the same speed, the left lane's condition was 76% good, while moderate, slightly damaged, and severely damaged conditions were at 16%, 3%, and 5%. Both applications demonstrated variations in IRI values at higher speeds, with Roadroid generally yielding higher roughness levels than Roadbump. Comparative analysis revealed that Roadbump at 40 km/h provided results closer to the laser profilometer, with up to 78% similarity on the left lane. However, the correlation analysis with BPJN data revealed weak correlations for most cases, except for a stronger relationship (R = 0.5521) between the 40 km/h Roadbump application and the laser profilometer. Thus, Roadbump at 40 km/h is recommended for practical field assessments.

Abstract

Roads are infrastructure that has a vital role for the community in supporting social and economic activities. Therefore, appropriate handling information is needed for road maintenance and improvement to be on target. One of the methods used is the International Roughness Index (IRI) method with the help of the Road bump application. The purpose of this study is to analyze and recommend handling road surface conditions, as well as to test the validity of the Road bump application with a Laser Profilometer. This research was conducted on the 10 KM section of Trans Kalimantan Road. Comparative data is obtained from secondary data issued by BPJN in 2021 using the Laser Profilometer tool. This study found that the condition of the Trans Kalimantan Road was 80% in the excellent category, 18% in the moderate category, and 2% in the slightly damaged category, and had similarities with the BPJN IRI value of 95%. Road bump also tends to the IRI value to be greater than the BPJN IRI value. Based on the results of this study, the Road bump application can be used as an alternative tool for measuring road surface conditions using the International Roughness Index (IRI) method.

Abstract

Road infrastructure plays a vital role in socio-economic development but is highly prone to deterioration caused by aging, drainage deficiencies, and increasing traffic loads. This study analyzes the damage condition of the Semparuk"“Bentunai Road, a 20.7 km Class IIIA district road in Sambas Regency, focusing on a 3.2 km section identified as severely damaged, using the Surface Distress Index (SDI) and the Bina Marga method. The SDI assessment revealed two dominant types of damage, namely cracking (16.58 m ² or 0.16%) and potholes (372.53 m ² or 3.58%), with segments 1"“20 categorized as severely damaged requiring reconstruction, and segments 21"“26 categorized as moderately damaged requiring routine maintenance. In comparison, the Bina Marga method identified six types of damage, including alligator cracks (7.63 m ²), transverse cracks (1.05 m ²), longitudinal cracks (5.96 m ²), edge cracks (1.86 m ²), potholes (372.53 m ²), and grain release (0.08 m ²). The calculated Priority Order (PO) value was 12, indicating the road falls under the Routine Maintenance Program, with recommended treatments such as paving, crack filling, pothole patching, and leveling in accordance with the 2011 Bina Marga Standard. Both methods consistently identified potholes as the most critical form of distress, although the SDI approach emphasizes severity-based classification while the Bina Marga method provides a more comprehensive prioritization framework. The integration of both approaches is therefore recommended to support effective road asset management and the formulation of maintenance strategies tailored to actual field conditions.
