Abstract

The high potential for Octopus production in Kaur Regency encourages rice farmers to implement a double income pattern strategy. The aim of this research is to determine the number of hours rice farmers work as octopus hunters, and to analyze the variables that influence the working hours of rice farmers with a double income pattern in Linau Village, Maje District, Kaur Regency. A total of 36 rice farmers who carried out a dual income pattern as octopus hunters became respondents in this research. The census method was used for sampling. This research was carried out from March to April 2023. The method used to determine the number of working hours of rice farmers as octopus searchers used descriptive analysis and analyzed the factors that influence the working hours of rice farmers with a double income pattern as Octopus searchers in Maje District, Kaur Regency. The results of the research show that the time that rice farmers in Linau Village, Maje District, Kaur Regency devote to working in farming is an average of 4 hours per day or 131 hours per month, and to work outside of farming is an average of 5 hours per day or 153 hours per month. The results of the study show that income as an octopus seeker (X1), income from rice farming (X2), and number of dependents (X5) affect  the amount of working hours  of rice farmers, while the variables of age (X3), formal education (X4) and work experience (X6) do not affect  the amount of working hours  of rice farmers. Keywords: double income pattern, octopus seeker, outpouring of working time

Abstract

The decline in the selling price of rubber caused farmers to mix jengkol planting on rubber plantations, with the aim of increasing land productivity and double profits for farmers. This study aims to determine farmers' decisions and the factors that influence farmers' decisions to plant jengkol on rubber plantations. The method used is descriptive quantitative analysis using a Likert scale, and to determine the factors that influence farmer decisions, multiple linear regression analysis is used. The results showed that the level of decision making by farmers in Ilir Talo Village, Seluma Regency was 35.23 with a very high category. The variable of farmer motivation (X1), and the proximity of farmers to farmer groups and PPL (X2) affect farmers' decisions. While the variables of farmers' involvement in traditional party activities (X3), land ownership (X4), farmers' land area (X5), income (X6) did not affect the decision to plant jengkol plants on rubber plantations in Ilir Talo District, Seluma Regency.

Abstract

Fertilizer is nutrition or nutrients added to plants and currently, the use of fertilizer in agriculture is a necessity that cannot be ignored. One of the agricultural shops in Bengkulu City that provides fertilizer buying and selling services is the Phonna Tani shop at Panorama Market, NPK, Urea, KCl fertilizer, and many others are available. The purpose of this research is to determine inventory management, analyze inventory management, determine Safety Stock, and determine reorder points. The methods used in this research are qualitative and quantitative, with data results obtained from primary data and secondary data. Qualitative descriptive, EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) calculation techniques, Safety Stock calculation techniques, and Reorder Point calculation techniques are used in this research data analysis method. Based on the results of research, the management of inventory control of NPK Mutiara fertilizer at the Phonna Tani agricultural shop includes several stages, namely Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling, and the FIFO method is used to manage fertilizer supplies. The results of calculations using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method are 327 sacks per order with an ordering frequency of 3 times a year, so that in one year the number of fertilizer orders is 981 sacks, 9 sacks for safety stock and reorder points (Reorder point) 18 bags.

Abstract

One of the household industries in Central Bengkulu Regency is the Bandung Nukasep Bakar Roti making business which produces every day. This research aims to determine the procurement of raw materials for Bandung Nukasep Toast and to find out what the production factors are for Bandung Nukasep Toast at Pedati Market, Central Bengkulu Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative where data is obtained from observation, interviews and secondary data. Based on the research results and theories underlying the problems discussed, the procurement of raw materials for Bandung Nukasep Toast at Pedati Market, Central Bengkulu Regency applies the six right components, namely right quantity (the number of toasts produced every day is an average of 312 packs), right quality (twin cakra brand flour), right place (purchase location of raw materials at the sari spice shop Pasar Minggu, Bengkulu City), on time (once a week), right price (for one purchase of Rp. 6,262,000), and right type (using high protein flour). And the production factors for Bandung Nukasep Toast at Pasar Pedati, Central Bengkulu Regency include raw materials, capital, labor, length of business, and demand.

Abstract

Tanaman selada hidroponik menjadi solusi yang tepat dalam menghadapi tantangan ketahanan pangan, kesehatan, dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi kelayakan usahatani tanaman selada dengan sistem hidroponik di Balai Penerapan Standardisasi Instrumen Pertanian (BPSIP) Bengkulu. Penelitian dilakukan dari Juli hingga Agustus 2023 di lokasi tersebut. Melalui metode pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder, penelitian ini menyajikan informasi tentang biaya tetap, biaya variabel, total biaya, penerimaan, pendapatan, dan rasio keuntungan atas biaya (B/C Ratio). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total biaya yang dibutuhkan dalam satu periode tanam adalah Rp114.359, sedangkan penerimaan yang diperoleh mencapai Rp325.000. Dengan demikian, pendapatan usahatani tanaman selada hidroponik di BPSIP Bengkulu adalah sebesar Rp210.641. Rasio keuntungan atas biaya (B/C Ratio) yang lebih dari 1 (1,84) menunjukkan bahwa usaha tanaman selada hidroponik layak dan menguntungkan. Tanaman selada hidroponik tidak hanya memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap ketahanan pangan, tetapi juga memberikan potensi ekonomi yang menjanjikan bagi pelaku agribisnis.

Abstract

Household waste is often ignored and thrown away, even though waste can be utilized if managed as solid/water bokashi fertilizer and snake plant fiber. The purpose of community service is waste sorting, training activities for processing solid and liquid compost fertilizers using the solid and liquid bokashi method, and making raw materials for snake plant fiber crafts using the braiding method. The results of the activity were that the socialization participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity, especially after being given education through the provision of materials, distributing leaflets on making solid bokashi fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer. The focus of the activity was on household waste management, so that residents of RT. 41 waste were able to independently manage and utilize snake plant leaves. The utilization of organic waste and the remains of pruning lush snake plant leaves can be processed into solid compost and liquid compost as well as snake plant fiber rope. The economic value of solid compost fertilizer is IDR 1,300.00 / kg, liquid fertilizer IDR 0 / L, and snake plant fiber rope is IDR 5,208.33 per 50 m.

Abstract

Sektor pertanian menghadapi banyak ancaman, termasuk perubahan iklim, bencana alam, fluktuasi harga dan produktivitas, serta kekurangan infrastruktur dan akses pasar. Semua hal ini mengancam pendapatan petani dan menghambat peran strategis pertanian dalam mengurangi kemiskinan pedesaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi risiko usahatani padi sawah pasang surut tipe luapan B dan untuk menganalisis dampak risiko pada penerimaan usahatani padi sawah di Desa Padang Baru, Kecamatan Kaur Tengah, Kabupaten Kaur. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dengan skor dan analisis penerimaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petani padi sawah pasang surut air laut tipe luapan B di Desa Padang Baru Kecamatan Kaur Tengah Kabupaten Kaur menghadapi risiko produksi dengan kategori risiko tinggi, dengan skor rata-rata 4,23. Risiko kerusakan tanaman padi yang menyebabkan kematian adalah 4,45 dengan kategori risiko tinggi, banyaknya hama dan penyakit adalah 4,36 dengan kategori risiko tinggi, dan rendahnya produksi adalah 3,86 dengan kategori risiko tinggi. Di Desa Padang Baru, Kecamatan Kaur Tengah, Kabupaten Kaur, usaha tani padi sawah menerima rata-rata Rp 13.538.636,36 per ha sebagai dampak risiko lahan pasang surut tipe luapan B.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis alokasi waktu dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi petani padi yang menerapkan strategi pendapatan ganda dengan mengintegrasikan budidaya ikan air tawar di Kecamatan Padang Jaya, daerah Minapolitan di Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linier berganda, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai distribusi waktu kerja antara kedua aktivitas tersebut dan mengidentifikasi faktor penentu alokasi tenaga kerja untuk perikanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petani menghabiskan rata-rata 119 jam per bulan untuk pertanian padi dan 151 jam untuk budidaya ikan. Faktor-faktor kunci yang secara signifikan mempengaruhi alokasi waktu kerja untuk budidaya ikan air tawar adalah motivasi budidaya ikan, persepsi profitabilitas pertanian padi, dan usia petani. Sebaliknya, tingkat pendidikan formal dan jumlah tanggungan ditemukan tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan. Temuan ini menyoroti kelayakan sistem agrikultur-akuakultur terintegrasi dan menggarisbawahi pentingnya motivasi intrinsik dan persepsi ekonomi dalam strategi diversifikasi tenaga kerja di daerah Minapolitan. Kata kunci: Alokasi Waktu Kerja, Pembesaran Ikan Air Tawar, Pola Nafkah Ganda. This study analyzes the time allocation and influencing factors for rice farmers who adopt a dual-income strategy by integrating freshwater fish farming in Padang Jaya District, a Minapolitan area in North Bengkulu Regency. Using a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis, the research aimed to assess working time distribution between the two activities and identify determinants of labor allocation to fisheries. Results indicate that farmers spend an average of 119 hours monthly on rice farming and 151 hours on fish farming. Key factors significantly influencing the allocation of working time to freshwater fish farming are motivation for fish farming, perceptions of rice farming profitability, and farmer age. In contrast, formal education level and the number of dependents were found to have no significant effect. The findings highlight the viability of integrated agri-aquaculture systems and underscore the importance of intrinsic motivation and economic perceptions in labor diversification strategies within Minapolitan zones. Abstract

Kungkai Baru Village has high potential in fishery and palm mushroom production, which can be developed into high-value food products. Community service activities have been carried out to increase the knowledge and skills of the Kungkai Baru Village community regarding the potential of catfish and palm mushrooms. The activities were carried out through socialization and practical training on fishcake processing based on catfish and palm mushrooms, followed by packaging and labeling practices. The results of the activities showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of the Kungkai Baru Village community, especially in fishcake processing technology, with the hope that it can be used as a mainstay product and thus improve the village economy.
