Abstract

Shipping companies ship agencies play an important role in representing the interests of ship owners in ports. In activities, the role of digital technology is very important to streamline and accelerate the process of managing ship crews and prospective crew documents to ensure safety, legal compliance, and smooth ship operations as necessary requirements during sailing. This study aims to determine the influence of Digital Technology in the Management of Crewchange Documents at Pt. Equinox Bahari Utama. The type of research used in this study is quantitative. This research was carried out at Sanur Port for 1 year. Pt. Equinox Bahari Utama. The population used in this study is employees of the Crewing Golar division and Cool Company Management USA, the crew of the ship who will make a crewchange with a sample of 45 respondents. The data sources in this study used primary and secondary data with data collection techniques, namely: questionnaires, observations, literature studies. The data analysis technique is the Simple Linear Regression test. The results of this study show that digital technology has a positive and significant influence on the management of crewchange documents at PT Equinox Bahari Utama. The magnitude of the positive influence of Digital Technology on the management of crewchange documents at PT Equinox Bahari Utama is 87%.

Abstract

The disproportionate growth between the transportation fleet and the infrastructure causes congestion, pollution, inconvenience and poor service. However, the high growth in transportation fleets managed by the private sector more than those managed by the government is not effective, on the other hand the government does not have enough funds to provide adequate public transportation facilities, so the concept of Allocation Cheap Sourcing is needed which is a collaboration between fleets managed by the private sector and the government. The method used in this study is Evidence based policy . The results of the study show that the effectiveness of collaboration can be in the form of partnerships and new forms of organization (NFO).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keterlambatan dan kinerja layanan pengurusan bea cukai di PT. Samudera Agencies Indonesia, Cabang Surabaya, dengan penekanan pada pemanfaatan teknologi informasi, kualitas sumber daya manusia, dan faktor keuangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran dengan desain penjelasan sekuensial. Data kuantitatif dianalisis terlebih dahulu melalui regresi linier berganda, uji t parsial (uji-t), dan uji t simultan (uji-F), kemudian diperkuat lebih lanjut menggunakan data kualitatif melalui wawancara dengan responden dari departemen operasional dan keuangan. Analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi informasi (X₁) secara signifikan mempengaruhi kinerja layanan pengurusan bea cukai dengan nilai t sebesar -2,349 dan tingkat signifikansi 0,027 (<0,05). Kualitas sumber daya manusia (X₂) juga menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan dengan nilai t sebesar -2,177 dan tingkat signifikansi 0,039 (<0,05). Sementara itu, faktor keuangan (X₃) memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan dengan nilai t sebesar 2,698 dan tingkat signifikansi 0,012 (<0,05). Secara bersamaan, hasil uji F menunjukkan nilai F sebesar 6,482 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,002 (<0,05), yang menegaskan bahwa ketiga variabel independen tersebut secara bersama-sama memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja layanan. Hasil kualitatif mendukung temuan statistik dengan menunjukkan bahwa gangguan sistem Inaportnet, akurasi data manifes, dan sinkronisasi faktur dan pembayaran merupakan faktor utama yang memengaruhi kelancaran layanan. Studi ini merekomendasikan penguatan integrasi sistem informasi, peningkatan kompetensi sumber daya manusia, dan optimalisasi koordinasi administrasi keuangan untuk meminimalkan keterlambatan dalam layanan kliring.

Abstract

Cargo operations on aging general cargo vessels like MV. Hodasco 19 (built 1984) face heightened occupational accident risks due to equipment degradation, unsafe worker behaviors, and gaps between ISM Code procedures and field practices. This study aims to apply Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to identify accident potentials during cargo operations and formulate preventive measures. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, purposive sampling targeted the Chief Officer as key informant from MV. Hodasco 19 crew during Teluk Bayur-Belawan routes. Instruments included semi-structured interviews, observation sheets, and photographic documentation, analyzed via Miles and Huberman's reduction-presentation-conclusion model with risk matrix assessment. Findings reveal 75% of activities (lifting operations, wire rope inspection, worker positioning, night operations) classified as high risk (scores 15-20). Conclusions recommend mandatory written JSA implementation, crew-stevedore training, and routine equipment inspections to achieve zero accidents per maritime standards.

Abstract

Enclosed spaces on ships pose significant safety risks due to limited ventilation and hazardous gas accumulation, contributing to frequent maritime accidents globally and in Indonesia. This study aims to apply Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) for risk assessment of enclosed space entry operations on MT. Cahaya Mulya 88. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the population comprised 20 crew members involved in enclosed space operations, with purposive sampling of 5 key informants (safety officer, chief officer, boatswain). Instruments included structured observation sheets, semi-structured interview guides, and HAZOP checklists, analyzed via Miles and Huberman's model (data reduction, display, verification). Results showed initial extreme risks (R=25) in cargo tanks due to hydrocarbon vapors, reduced to low levels (R=2-4) through forced ventilation, LEL sensors, and strict Permit to Work procedures. HAZOP effectively identified operational deviations across manhole, cargo tank, and fresh water tank. The study concludes that systematic HAZOP implementation significantly enhances maritime safety compliance with IMO Resolution A.1050(27) and ISM Code.
