Abstract

This study aims to analyze the consumptive behavior of the community in Lalonggombu Village, Lainea District, Konawe Selatan Regency from an Islamic economic perspective. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method to explore in depth the phenomenon of consumptive behavior within the community. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving village residents as informants. The results show that the community’s consumptive behavior is characterized by a tendency to make excessive and unplanned purchases, as well as prioritizing wants over needs. Factors influencing this behavior include ease of access to goods, social environmental influences, and the presence of attractive promotional offers. From an Islamic economic perspective, such consumptive behavior is not fully in line with Islamic consumption principles, which emphasize moderation, avoidance of extravagance (israf), and prioritization of needs over desires. In conclusion, the consumptive behavior of the community in Lalonggombu Village reflects a deviation from Islamic economic principles in managing consumption. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance public awareness and understanding of the importance of applying Islamic economic values in consumption activities in order to achieve a balance between worldly needs and spiritual values.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of creativity in fostering entrepreneurial interest among Grade XI students at SMK Negeri 3 Muna. Creativity is one of the core values of entrepreneurship education, realized through the KIK (Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship) subject with a focus on practical bag-making using traditional Muna woven fabric. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Research subjects consisted of the Vice Principal for Curriculum, KIK subject teachers, and Grade XI Fashion Design students. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validity tested through source and technique triangulation. The results show that creativity is implemented through four concrete forms: (1) freedom of expression in product design and sewing; (2) creative idea development based on the local potential of Muna woven fabric; (3) creative product packaging with student-branded labels; and (4) creative marketing through bazaars and exhibitions. Creativity systematically applied in KIK learning has proven to foster students' entrepreneurial interest, evidenced by increased enthusiasm, courage in marketing products, self-confidence, and the emergence of desire to start independent businesses.

Abstract

Plastic waste, particularly used plastic bottles, has become one of the environmental issues that requires productive and sustainable solutions. This community service activity aimed to enhance students' creativity through training on transforming used plastic bottles into flower vase crafts with economic value. The method employed was project-based learning, which actively involved participants in every stage of the production process, including material preparation, bottle cutting, bottle assembly, yarn wrapping, and finishing. Data were collected through observation and documentation during the implementation of the activity. The results showed that participants were able to create various attractive and creative flower vase designs according to their individual ideas and creativity. In addition, the activity improved participants’ understanding of plastic waste management, handicraft-making skills, and awareness of the importance of recycling in daily life. The products produced possess functional, aesthetic, and economic values and have the potential to be developed into creative business products with relatively low production costs. Therefore, training on the utilization of used plastic bottles as flower vase crafts can serve as an effective alternative activity to foster students' creativity while supporting environmental conservation efforts and the development of the creative economy.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of murabahah, mudharabah, and musyarakah financing on the profitability of Islamic commercial banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) during the 2021–2023 period. Previous studies have reported inconsistent findings regarding the relationship between Islamic financing contracts and bank profitability, particularly in the context of participatory financing schemes in Islamic banking institutions. This study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence on the comparative influence of major Islamic financing contracts on profitability using quarterly multi-bank data from Indonesia. The study employs a quantitative approach using purposive sampling, resulting in three Islamic commercial banks as research samples: PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia, PT Bank Victoria Syariah, and PT BCA Syariah. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The findings reveal that murabahah financing has a negative and significant effect on profitability, mudharabah financing has a positive but insignificant effect, while musyarakah financing has a positive and significant effect on profitability. Simultaneously, murabahah, mudharabah, and musyarakah financing collectively have a significant influence on the profitability of Islamic commercial banks. These findings indicate that financing portfolio composition plays an important role in shaping the financial performance of Islamic banking institutions and highlights the importance of balancing fixed-margin and profit-sharing financing schemes to achieve sustainable profitability.
