Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the CORE model on student learning outcomes on the Salt Hydrolysis material at SMAN 2 Mempawah. The form of research is used a quasi experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample was XI MIPA 1 as an experimental class totaling 27 students and XI MIPA 2 as a cotrol class totaling 24 students, with a population totaling 51 students. Data collection techniques that are data measurement techniques, direct communication, observation with data collection tools in the form of learning outcomes tests, interview guidelines and observation sheets. The indicator in this research are to determine the equation of the reaction of salt hydrolysis, determine the acidic nature of a salt solution, and calculate the pH of the salt solution based on discourse. Based on the analysis using the Mann Whitney U test (? = 5%) that is 0.000 ? 0.05 shows that there are differences in learning outcomes between students who are taught using the CORE model and students who are taught using conventional methods. The value of the effect size obtained was 1.31 and gave an effect of 40.49% to the increase in student learning outcomes. Keywords: CORE, learning outcomes, salt hydrolysis

Abstract

AbstractQuestions on High Level Thinking Skills (HOTS) in class XI Science of Pontianak State High School and factors that enhance students' ability to answer HOTS questions. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative form of research. The study was conducted in three schools in Pontianak, namely MAN 1 Pontianak with a total sample of 20 people, SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak with a sample of 20 people and SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak with a total sample of 15 people with a total sample of 55 students. The instrument used was a HOTS problem with cognitive levels analyzing (C4) and analyzing (C5). The instrument used in this study has excellent validation results with an average percentage of small scale of 95.41% with a very high category and an average percentage of large scale of 93.75% with a very high category. The research results obtained are the participation of students in solving HOTS questions in a total of 19.90% with a very low category. The percentage of students' abilities in the analysis aspect (C4) was 23.76% and in the evaluation aspect (C5) was 24.95%. Abstract

AbstractThe COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact for Indonesia, including the education sector. Teaching and learning activities are using online methods. One of the learning media that can help in the distance learning process is documentary films. The subject matter that can be realized through documentary films is environmental pollution which contains SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, Society) components. This study aims to determine the feasibility level of media and documentary film based on SETS. The form of this research is research and development (R&D) with reference to the ADDIE model which is modified into ADD namely Analysis, Design, and Development. The subject of this research is SETS-based documentary. The data collection instrument used is a media and material feasibility assessment sheet. The results showed the percentage of 94.5% on the feasibility of the media and 97.6% on the feasibility of the material in the very feasible category. In conclusion, this SETSbased documentary is very suitable to be used as a learning medium on environmental pollution material.Keywords: Documentary Film, Environmental Pollution, SETS.

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to find out how to make rambutan vinegar by the people of Tengguli Village, Sajad District. The form of this research is descriptive research. The location taking technique in this research used purposive sampling technique while the sampling technique in this research used snowballing sampling technique. The data collection tool carried out in this research is the interview guideline sheet and the material used is in the form of stationery. Based on the results of interviews with the people of Tengguli Village, Sajad Regency, it is known that the people of Tengguli Village made rambutan vinegar through a traditional fermentation process using yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and without using yeast. From the results of the research it can be concluded that there are 2 ways of making rambutan fruit vinegar by the people of Tengguli Village, Sajad District namely fermentation using yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and without using yeast. Keywords: Fermentation, Local Wisdom, Rambutan Vinegar.

Abstract

Abstract The aims of this research was to describe student errors when solving problems in stoichiometry in X  Science Class SMA Islam Bawari Pontianak and to explain cause of the errors. This research use description method with study case. The subjects of this research are twenty three students in X Science Class. Test and instrument used to collect the data are  question test and interview with students. The question test  use essay test. According to data analysis,  the result of this research showed us that students errors to understand essential concepts (24,81%), errors in comprehend contact between concepts (69,20%) and errors when using concept to solve problems (69,20%). The reason of the errors are internal factors. The internal factors that cause students errors when solving problem in stoichiometry included inablity to understand concepts in stoichiometry, poorly trained basic skills of mathematics and careless in solving problems.    Keyword: Cause of the Errors, Description, Errors, Stoichiometry.

Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this research were to determine difference in the students’ scientific work skills before and after implementing the guided inquiry model and determine the amount of effect the guided inquiry model of sientific work skill on corrosion material. The form of this research was pre-experimental design with one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection tools used were scientific work skills test, observation sheets, and interview guildelines. Independent sample T test was used to analyze scientific work skills before and after the guided inquiry model was applied. The scientific work skills of students before and after guided inquiry learning were in the category of unskilled, less skilled, skilled and highly skilled. Independent sample T test result showed that the value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) was 0,000, wich mean less than 0,05 (>0.05). Score of N-gain shows that value of 0,6, which mean amount of effect the guided inquiry model of sientific work skill on corrosion material was medium. In conclusion, there were differences in the students’ scientific work skills before and after the guided inquiry model was applied.Keywords: Guided Inquiry, Scientific Work Skills, Corrosion.

Abstract

Abstract This study to explain the increase in learning independence, learning motivation and learning outcomes in science learning through the use of gadget based internet for fifth grade students. This research is a classroom action research conducted at 01 kubu public elementary school. Number of subjects were 25 students. Data collection was carried out using observation sheet, test questions, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it shows that the use of gadget-based internet can improve learning independence, learning motivation, and student learning outcomes in science learning. The increase in student learning independence can be seen from the first cycle as much as 16%, second cycle 36%, and third cycle students who have high learning independence again increased to 60%. The increase of student learning motivation can be seen from the first cycle as much as 36%, second cycle 48%, and third cycle students who have high learning motivation again increased to 64%. The increase in student learning outcomes can be seen from the first cycle, it was obtained that 60% had reached learning standard, second cycle 76% had reached learning standard, and third cycle 88% had reached learning standard. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the feasibility and the response has of teachers to formative tests oriented Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) on thermochemical materials. This research is development research (R&D) that referring to an addie development model adapted by an analysis, a design, Development, and the evaluation. The feasibility assessment of development results is the carryout by material experts and evaluations as well as linguists. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that hotsoriented formative tests are reviewed from the validity of the material and the evaluation and the language is considered very feasible with a percentage of 100%. The teacher a response to the development results was excellent with a percentage of 85.19%. The results of this study are very feasible for teachers to use in the evaluation of learning on thermochemical materials.Keywords: A formative Test, HOTS, Thermochemical, ADDIE.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes before and after remediation in the form of provision of refutation text in atoms, molecules, and ions, and to describe the effectiveness of remediation in form of in understanding atoms, molecules, and ions in students class X SMK PGRI Pontianak. This research was in the form of a quasi-experimental design model “one group pretest-posttest design”. The subject of the study consisted of 46 students spread over X TAV, X TSM, and X TKJ classes. The data collection test consisting of a preliminary test and a multiple choice final test with three alternative answer with reasons. The results showed that there was a decrease in the average student’s misconception of atoms, molecules, and ions by 34,76%. This show an increase in student learning outcomes before and after remediation in the form of providing refutation  text. In addition, an effect size of 4,4 was obtained. This showed that remediation with refutation text was generally effective in reducing student misconceptions. Keywords: Effectiveness, refutation text, remediation

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the correlation between teaching experience,training, and achievement motivation with the professional competence ofteachers in West Pontianak Barat Elementary Schools. This study used aquantitative approach, descriptive methods with correlation research type.Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. The data analysistechnique was carried out by using descriptive statistical analysis and todetermine the relationship between teaching experience, training, andachievement motivation with the professional competence of teachers usingsimple correlation analysis and multiple correlation. The results of the studyconcluded that there was a positive and significant relationship between: ( 1)teaching experience with teacher professional competence (r1y= 0.721), (2)training with teacher professional competence (r2y= 0.591), (3) achievementmotivation with teacher professional competence (r3y= 0.674), (4) experienceteaching and training with teacher professional competence (Ry-12= 0.733), (5)training and achievement motivation with teacher professional competence (Ry-23= 0.674), (6) teaching experience and achievement motivation with teacherprofessional competence (Ry-13= 0.759), (7) teaching experience, training, andachievement motivation with the professional competence of teachers (Ry-13=0.762) with a combined contribution The variable teaching experience,training, and achievement motivation on the professional competence ofteachers is 58%.Keywords: Teaching Experience, Training, Achievement Motivation andTeacher Professional Competence.
