Abstract

A work accident is an event that is detrimental to humans and the production process, and permanent disability or even death caused by a work process. The cause of the accident consists of two factors, namely human factors, and environmental factors. Hospitals are required to implement occupational health and safety efforts that are carried out in an integrated, comprehensive manner. This research was conducted with the aim of To find out factors related to work accidents among nurses at Hasanuddin University Hospital, Makassar. This research uses quantitative research, with analytical observational methods and a cross-sectional study design. The research population was 213 nurses at Hasanuddin University Hospital, Makassar. The research sample of 100 nurses on duty at Hasanuddin University Hospital in Makassar was taken using the sampling method in this study using probability sampling with simple random sampling. Research data was analyzed using a logistic regression test on 95% PPE use (a=0.05). The results of this study show that there is a significant influence between the variables K3 knowledge, K3 training (a=0.040), and work attitude (a=0.017), use of PPE (a=0.033), on work accidents, while the variables gender, length of service and work environment do not there is an influence on work accidents. Apart from that, the most influential variable is the use of PPE on work accidents with Standardized Coefficients Beta 3.252. It is hoped to improve occupational health and safety in hospitals so that the number of work accidents does not occur among nurses and staff in the hospital environment and can improve the quality of hospitals as expected.

Abstract

The increasing presence of microplastics in the waters has been known to have the potential to enter various types of marine biota including shellfish. the type of research conducted was descriptive observational research) The research location was the coastal area of North Galesong Beach, Takalar Regency. The results showed that the average abundance of microplastics in mussels in Galesong Waters was 4,258 items/individual. The average (mean) intake rate of respondents was 185.86 gr/day, the median value was 167 gr/day. The minimum intake rate was 115 gr/day and the maximum intake rate was 300 gr/day. The mean exposure frequency of respondents was 126 days, the median was 104 days. The minimum exposure frequency was 54 days and the maximum exposure frequency was 255 gr/day. the types of microplastics found were all in the form of lines, fragments with red, blue and black colors. The size found was between 0.505-10.488 mm. The most common type of microplastics found in both sediments and mussels is the fragment form, followed by lines with a variety of colors, namely red, blue and black, there are differences in microplastics abundance between the two types of mussels, but differences in abundance can be seen between research stations as mussel habitat.

Abstract

Noise has several impacts on health. Besides the impact on hearing loss, high noise intensity can also cause loss of concentration, loss of balance and disorientation, fatigue, and communication disorders. This research design is analytic survey with cross sectional study approach. The location of this research is at PT PLN Persero Persero West Halmahera, North Maluku Province. The population was 123 people. The sample was 94 people with purposive sampling technique. The results obtained P value = 0.000 (P <0.05) means there is an influence of noise. The results of statistical chi-square test obtained P value = 0.003 (P <0.05) means that there is an effect of noise on physiological disorders. P value = 0.006 (P <0.05) means that there is an effect of noise on psychological disorders P-value 0.000 means that there is an effect of noise on work productivity Conclusion there is an effect of noise on communication disorders psychological disorders, work productivity disorders and physiological disorders in employees
