Abstract

The lack of reading culture at home and in the surrounding environment impacts low student literacy. Based on this, this study aims to develop a game-based learning media, "Teka-Teki Dadu Literasi", to improve the literacy skills of grade V elementary school students that are valid, practical, and effective. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The methods used in collecting data are interviews, observations, questionnaires and tests. The instruments used in the study were questionnaire sheets and tests. The subjects of the study were learning media experts. The trial subjects were in two stages: limited trials and extensive trials by students and teachers. The data analysis technique in this study used a quantitative and qualitative descriptive approach. The study results were the validity test results from the learning media expert, who obtained a score of 83.07%, so it was included in the "Very Good" criteria. The results of the practicality test by the teacher obtained a score of 92% (very valid). The results of the limited trial by students were 100% (very valid). The results of the extensive trial by students were 98.77% (very valid). The effectiveness test results showed that the "Literacy Dice" media effectively improved students' literacy skills, with an average increase of 68,2%. This shows that this learning media is suitable for supporting the literacy learning process. The implication of this research is that the game-based learning media "Literacy Dice Puzzle" that was developed can be used in elementary school learning.

Abstract

Counseling to parents about building resilient character in elementary school children. An outreach activity that aims to provide information to parents on the importance of building resilient character in children. Resilience character is a child's ability to adapt to all environmental conditions. Resilient character needs to be built from an early age so that children have a strong mentality and do not give up easily. This extension activity uses a survey method using a questionnaire before the extension begins and after the extension is carried out. A survey questionnaire to find out the understanding of parents' guardians about the character of resilience before being given counseling and understanding of parents after counseling and the benefits of participating in the counseling. The results of the counseling show that of the 30 parents of parents who took part in the counseling, they did not understand what resilient character was. After counseling, all parents understand the character of resilience, express the benefits of resilience and various opinions in fostering resilient character in their children.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide assistance to the community of Blabak Village, Pesantren District, Kediri City about the importance of Parenting Education (Parenting) for parents of elementary school-age children. This activity was attended by 23 mothers of posyandu and PKK cadres who have elementary school-age children and was carried out on March 8, 2023. The method used in this service activity consists of a planning stage, namely observing the needs of the community in Blabak village so that problems related to parenting are obtained, an implementation stage with the delivery of material and questions and answers about parenting and an evaluation stage regarding filling out questionnaires by mentoring participants regarding parenting. Through this activity, it was found that the community who participated in the activity gave a positive response, and even hoped that the activity could be carried out on an ongoing basis so that more knowledge could be obtained related to parenting patterns of parents of elementary school-age children, so that with the right parenting patterns can make children become good characters.

Abstract

PKM ini dilaksanakan di salah satu SDN yang berada di kabupaten Jombang dengan target siswa Sekolah Dasar. PkM bertujuan memberikan Pelatihan terhadap siswa tentang Tari Topeng Kreasi sebagai Ketrampilan Psikomotorik Siswa Sekolah Dasar. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini siswa mendapatkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman baru bagaimana gerak dari tari topeng kreasi untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan psikomotorik yang variatif dan inovatif, dengan pelatihan ini siswa sekolah dasar juga dapat belajar untuk menonjolkan bakat yang ada dalam diri mereka. Karena di zaman modern ini dimana teknologi semakin canggih dan pesat, maka dari itu banyak sekali budaya-budaya dari negara asing masuk ke negara Indonesia. Dampaknya yaitu banyak orang-orang yang mulai meninggalkan dan melupakan budayanya sendiri. Sebagian besar siswa SD pasti tidak mengenal berbagai jenis tarian local yang ada di Indonesia tetapi mereka lebih mengenal dan mengetahui budaya luar yang mana itu bukan bagian dari budaya daerah negara Indonesia. Selain itu masih banyak sekolah dasar yang belum melatih ketrampilan psikomotorik, padahal hal itu sangat penting untuk dilakukan agar siwa dapat mengenal jenis-jenis tarian daerah yang ada di indonesia, dapat mengetahui gerak dan teknik dasar dari tari daerah, serta dapat juga ikut melestarikan tarian-tarian daerah yang ada di Indonesia.

Abstract

The Campus on Duty program is one of the initiatives of Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediriin collaboration with the Kediri Regency government which aims to improve the quality ofeducation in elementary schools, especially in Kediri or less developed regency areas. One ofthe main focuses of this program is to improve the literacy and numeracy of elementary schoolstudents. This article discusses the effectiveness of the Campus on Duty (CoD) program inimproving students' literacy and numeracy skills at elementary school level. Based on theresults of studies from various journal sources, this program is proven to have a positiveimpact on the basic skills possessed by students, although there are still several challengesfaced, such as limited time and resources. Therefore, it is important to carry out furtherevaluation and development so that this program can be more optimal in its achievements.This research also provides recommendations for improving the quality of programimplementation, both in terms of teacher development, implemented curriculum, and supportfrom the government and community

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of integrated learning courses on the development of the openness personality trait among students enrolled in the Elementary School Teacher Education program at the University of Nusantara PGRI Kediri. Adopting a comparative quantitative design, the research compared the openness levels of students who had participated in integrated learning courses with those who had not. Openness was measured using the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP)-BFM-50, focusing on 10 specific indicators. The validity of the items was confirmed through Pearson product-moment correlation (p < .05), and the scale demonstrated acceptable internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha = .714). Data analysis confirmed the assumptions of normality and homogeneity. Results revealed that students exposed to the integrated learning course scored significantly higher on openness (t(79) = 3.064, p = .003, Cohen’s d = .681), indicating a moderate to large effect size. The study concludes that integrated learning effectively fosters openness—an essential trait for adaptability and cognitive flexibility in 21st-century education. It recommends the broader integration of such courses into teacher education curricula. For future research, a mixed-methods approach is suggested to better understand the underlying processes through which integrated learning influences personality development. Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of escape room-based interactive learning media in improving the understanding of 3rd grade elementary school students to environmental materials. The background of this development is that there is still a low interest in learning and students' understanding of environmental materials due to conventional learning methods that are less attractive. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Validation was carried out by material experts and media experts with results showing feasibility rates of 91.6% and 90%. The practicality test showed that this medium was very practical with a score of 97% of teachers and 94% of students. The results of the effectiveness test also showed that this medium was very effective with a completeness rate of 93.33% in the limited test and 93.21% in the broad test. This learning medium not only increases students' motivation to learn, but also encourages active participation, critical thinking, and cooperation in groups. Thus, the use of escape room media in learning makes a significant contribution to improving the quality of learning environmental materials in elementary schools.

Abstract

Training in reading gamelan notation for elementary school students is a strategic effort to introduce and nurture traditional musical literacy from an early age. This activity was carried out at SDN Kedunglosari, Tembelang District, Jombang, for two days involving 35 fourth and fifth grade students. The main objective was to provide basic understanding of the numerical symbols (1–7) in Javanese gamelan notation and to improve students' ability to read and perform gamelan notation collaboratively. The methods used included demonstrative and participatory approaches through hands-on practice, tone-based educational games, and visual media. The results showed that 91.4% of students actively participated, with average satisfaction and understanding scores in the "very good" category. Beyond enhancing musical literacy, the program also strengthened student collaboration, concentration, and appreciation of local cultural values. This initiative is expected to serve as a foundational model for culture-based art education at the primary level and be replicable in other schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bermula dari banyaknya siswa yang kurang memahami konsep IPAS secara mendalam. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari  rendahnya hasil belajar IPAS siswa dan kurangnya partisipasi aktif dalam pembelajaran. Urgensi penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui implementasi Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam pembelajaran IPAS di Kota Kediri.  Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi dan penilaian hail belajar. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa melalui implementasi Problem Based Learning (PBL) yakni pada pra siklus ketuntasan siswa pada pembelajaran IPAS mencapai 38%, sedangkan siklus I meningkat menjadi 62%, dan siklus II meningkat kembali menjadi 88%.  Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah implementasi Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa materi IPAS di Kota Kediri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning yang didukung oleh media interaktif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya tingkat partisipasi dan capaian belajar siswa kelas V di SDN Burengan 1. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 26 siswa dari kelas V di SDN Burengan 1. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, dari 27% ketuntasan pada pra-siklus, meningkat menjadi 65% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 85% pada siklus II. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan model PBL berbantuan media interaktif secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa serta hasil belajar mereka.
