Abstract

The role of educational supervisors has evolved to become more proactive, innovative and agile in response to the needs and demands of modern education. In the 21st century, supervisors face complex challenges, including rapid technological change, dynamic curricula, inclusiveness and diversity, increased human resources, holistic evaluation and changing roles. This research aims to find out the extent of the supervisor's transformation role and what challenges surround educational supervision in the 21st century. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach. The results showed that to overcome the challenges of the 21st century, a new round of transformed supervisor roles to adopt innovative strategies such as integrating technology in supervision, adaptive curriculum development, continuous training and support for teachers, collaborative approaches, and a balance between technological and humanist approaches. The use of virtual-based supervision, collaborative approaches in developing learning strategies, and the application of innovative evaluation methods are some of the strategies that can be applied by supervisors. In addition, supervisors must be competent and skillful in reading signs of progress over time and play an active role in the creation of a curriculum that is adaptable and can respond quickly to evolving educational needs. Overall, supervisors must adapt, upgrade their competencies and adopt innovative approaches in the supervision process to ensure education is relevant, inclusive and adaptive to the demands of the times.

Abstract

The Adaptive Supervision Model is a personalised and technology-based approach to educational supervision that emphasises responsiveness and flexibility to the unique needs of the educational context. It encourages teacher empowerment and leadership, contextualised support, and a balance between feedback and coaching. This model shifts the supervision paradigm from traditional supervision to an essential tool for improving the quality of learning and teaching in a changing educational environment. This research discusses the concept of adaptive supervision, an approach that adapts to the unique needs and dynamics of learning. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Through this approach, supervision is not only preventive and corrective, but also a responsive mechanism to changes in learning demands, technological developments and individual needs. With the concept and implementation of the Adaptive Supervision Model, this article opens a discussion on how this adaptive approach can shape the future of educational supervision that is effective, responsive and empowering. Through an analysis of the model's characteristics, it also identifies implementation challenges, such as a lack of technological readiness, a paradigm shift in the role of supervisors, and difficulties in personalising services. In response to these challenges, the article offers strategies, including competency training, effective communication, development of guidelines, teacher participation in decision-making, strengthening collaborative culture, continuous monitoring and evaluation, psychosocial support, and collaboration with external parties. By applying these strategies, it is hoped that the implementation of the Adaptive Supervision Model can be successful and contribute significantly to the development of education in the future.

Abstract

Educational supervision is the main element in building the reputation and quality of education. This research aims to investigate whether educational supervision can serve as a vital instrument in maintaining accountability, enhancing the quality of learning, and preserving the reputation of educational institutions. This research employs a library research methodology. The findings of this study reveal the significant role of supervision in an educational context and outline several benefits it yields. Through the effective supervisory process, schools and educators can identify and address weaknesses in teaching methods, curriculum, and assessment. It not only improves the quality of education but also ensures compliance with national standards. Furthermore, educational supervision helps maintain a positive image of schools and educators, enhances customer satisfaction (students and parents), and makes a substantial contribution to building a strong reputation for education. Thus, educational supervision functions not only as a surveillance instrument but also as the key pillar in creating an outstanding and respected education system.

Abstract

Significant changes are occurring in education. Curriculum constantly adapts needs and daily changes of the world. Maximize education, all the components involved in education must be carried out in accordance with the objectives. All of them have a same goal in achieving citation-matching, which is to prioritize primary education and training. As school partners, supervisors also have a big role in realizing school quality and learning quality. School supervisors are in charge of imparting supervision knowlage. The purpose of this study was to understand effective school supervision practices in order to improve student and school performance. Research employs a kualitatif method with case studies. According to this research, teachers at schools and madrasas should be able to carry out their assigned task of professional supervision; they should also have positive attitudes toward supervising activities and be able to increase student learning outcomes that are carried out in a cooperative manner.

Abstract

One of the functions of this research is to explore the academic supervision conducted by the school principal and its subsequent impact on the changes in the performance of Islamic religious education teachers at State Elementary School 009 Penajam, along with the influencing factors. This study employs a field study method with a qualitative approach. The research results indicate that the academic supervision carried out by the school principal includes aspects of learning planning by providing guidance in formulating learning objectives, overseeing the implementation of learning by providing an example in initiating and presenting materials, and guiding the evaluation of learning by assisting in the preparation of assessment tools. Several factors influencing academic supervision activities include support from teachers who are the objects of supervision, where a teacher's cooperation and openness in the implementation of supervision by the supervisor are supportive factors. Conversely, inhibiting factors in the implementation of principal supervision include the limited time allocation for Islamic religious education in elementary school.

Abstract

The leadership style of the principal plays a significant role in enhancing the performance of teachers under their supervision. This qualitative research, utilizing a descriptive method, aims to collect data on: (1) the principal's leadership style in improving work discipline, (2) the principal's leadership style in enhancing teachers' work motivation, (3) the principal's leadership style in promoting responsibility, and (4) the obstacles faced by the principal in enhancing teacher performance. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentary studies.The findings indicate that the principal applies an instructive leadership style (telling) to improve discipline, a consultative leadership style (selling) to boost teachers' work motivation, and a delegative leadership style (delegating) to enhance teachers' responsibility. However, challenges such as declining teacher discipline, insufficient performance motivation, and a lack of teacher responsibility in learning were identified as obstacles faced by the principal.

Abstract

The relocation of the capital of the archipelago to East Kalimantan provides many benefits and provides opportunities and challenges in development and encourages economic growth in the region and the surrounding region. Especially at universities in East Kalimantan and especially around the Balikpapan area. Balikpapan Institute of Technology is the only institute that has strategic importance in preparing its graduates to be able to have advantages and be able to compete globally. The Rector plays a very important role in realizing the goals of the organization he leads. To produce superior graduates with global competitiveness cannot be separated from the challenges faced and how the program is made to overcome these challenges. This study aims to describe the rector's strategy to create superior people with global competitiveness and describe the challenges faced. The type of research used is qualitative with a case study approach. The data collection method uses interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study stated: 1) the rector has two programs to improve community competence in the fields of technology and environment, as well as promote a holistic approach to community development in the fields of technology, environment, and economics.2) multiply research and publish in the journal Scopus, focusing on smart governance, branding, economy, life, society, and environment. And 3) empower quality assurance agencies to optimally manage community-related programs.

Abstract

Continuous learning dan employee empowerment merupakan dua elemen penting dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja pendidik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kedua variabel tersebut terhadap kinerja pendidik di lingkungan pendidikan formal. Metode kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 150 pendidik. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier berganda untuk mengetahui kontribusi masing-masing variabel terhadap kinerja pendidik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa continuous learning memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pendidik, dengan kontribusi sebesar 45%. Sementara itu, employee empowerment juga memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan dengan kontribusi sebesar 35%. Kombinasi kedua variabel memberikan pengaruh simultan sebesar 70% terhadap kinerja pendidik. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa peningkatan kinerja pendidik dapat dicapai melalui program pembelajaran berkelanjutan yang relevan dan pemberdayaan pendidik yang efektif. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis terhadap literatur mengenai manajemen sumber daya manusia di sektor pendidikan serta implikasi praktis bagi pengelola institusi pendidikan. Institusi pendidikan diharapkan dapat merancang kebijakan yang mendukung pengembangan profesional pendidik melalui pendekatan ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi supervisi klinis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran di MTs Al Ihsan. Supervisi klinis merupakan pendekatan supervisi yang berfokus pada perbaikan praktik pengajaran melalui siklus observasi, refleksi, dan diskusi antara guru dan supervisor. Pendekatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mengajar guru dan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala madrasah dan guru, observasi langsung proses supervisi klinis, serta dokumentasi laporan supervisi. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala madrasah, guru, dan supervisor di MTs Al Ihsan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi supervisi klinis di MTs Al Ihsan telah dilakukan dengan baik meskipun menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti keterbatasan waktu dan pemahaman guru terkait proses supervisi. Supervisi klinis memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pengajaran, di mana guru menunjukkan perbaikan dalam metode penyampaian materi dan interaksi dengan siswa. Namun, diperlukan upaya lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan efektivitas supervisi dengan memperbaiki komunikasi antara supervisor dan guru serta menyediakan pelatihan yang lebih komprehensif. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan model supervisi di madrasah, serta memberikan rekomendasi bagi institusi pendidikan lain untuk mengimplementasikan supervisi klinis dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi supervisi klinis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan profesionalisme guru di MAN Insan Cendekia Paser. Supervisi klinis merupakan pendekatan yang sistematis dan berfokus pada peningkatan kinerja guru melalui siklus observasi, evaluasi, dan refleksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi klinis yang diterapkan secara konsisten mampu memperbaiki kualitas pengajaran, meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik, serta mendorong guru untuk lebih profesional dalam pelaksanaan tugas-tugasnya. Selain itu, supervisi ini membantu menciptakan suasana kolaboratif antara supervisor dan guru, sehingga mampu mengidentifikasi permasalahan pembelajaran dan mencari solusi secara bersama-sama. Dengan demikian, implementasi supervisi klinis terbukti efektif dalam mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di MAN Insan Cendekia Paser.
