Abstract

The problem of this study is the low basic dribbling and shooting skills of ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Montong, which is thought to be caused by the lack of variety and appeal in conventional teaching methods. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of using audiovisual media in improving dribbling and shooting skills in basketball. The method used is a quasi-experiment with a single-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 26 students selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a dribbling and shooting skills test with a validated assessment rubric. The data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test statistical test with the help of SPSS software. The results showed a significant increase in the average score from 59.68 on the pretest to 78.92 on the posttest. The t-test results showed a very significant difference (t = -28.151; p = 0.000). The conclusion of this study is that the use of audiovisual media is proven to be effective and has a significant positive impact on improving dribbling and shooting skills in basketball among students. Therefore, it is recommended that audiovisual media be integrated as an innovative learning method in physical education, especially for mastering the basic techniques of basketball.

Abstract

The effectiveness of gradually administering isotonic drinks for post-exercise cardiovascular recovery has not been empirically proven compared to consuming mineral water. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of administering isotonic drinks at 5 different times compared to mineral water on heart rate recovery and aerobic capacity Vo₂max after 30 minutes of running. The research method used a quantitative true experiment design with a pretest-posttest control group involving 150 students divided into an experimental group 75 and a control group 75. Fluid intervention was administered according to a gradual protocol during the 30-minute running session. Resting heart rate and VO₂max were estimated using a 12-minute Cooper running test measured before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using paired and independent sample T-tests. The results showed that the isotonic group experienced a significantly greater decrease in resting heart rate (-6.9±3.5 bpm) than the mineral water group (-4.3±3.1 bpm) with p=0.006. Heart rate recovery analysis confirmed a faster recovery pattern in the isotonic group. There was no significant difference in Vo₂max improvement between groups (p=0.081). The conclusion of this study proves that gradual administration of isotonic drinks is more effective than mineral water in accelerating cardiovascular recovery after a 30-minute run,

Abstract

Sedentary lifestyles and conventional physical education limit the motor development of primary school children. This community service program aimed to improve the physical health and movement coordination of pupils at MI ICP Nurul Ulum Bojonegoro through the introduction of creative, enjoyable, and educational motor games. The program applied a participatory and educational approach across five stages, namely socialization, teacher training, technology and innovation adoption, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. The core innovation was the Interactive Motor Learning Innovation Package (PIMI), which combines simple physical equipment with QR code video tutorials and a Merdeka Curriculum based motor game module. Up to the midpoint of implementation, the team completed initial coordination, socialization and the formation of a healthy school team, teacher training, module preparation, equipment procurement, and most field mentoring. Preliminary results show high student enthusiasm, improved teacher capacity in designing motor activities, and the emergence of more varied physical activity habits. The program demonstrates that an accessible and low-cost technology can be absorbed independently by partner teachers and holds strong potential to be replicated as a model of a healthy, game-based school in Bojonegoro.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of PostureSmart, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Vision-based posture analysis system designed to support posture screening and evaluation in the fields of education and sport. The study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach comprising the stages of requirements analysis, design, system development, expert validation, product revision, and implementation feasibility testing. PostureSmart integrates image capture, body landmark detection, biomechanical parameter analysis, data storage, and digital presentation of results via a web-based platform. Product validation involved three experts comprising specialists in biomechanics, sports coaching, and information technology. Implementation feasibility was subsequently analysed using the TELOS framework, which covers Technical, Economic, Legal, Operational, and Schedule Feasibility. The research results show that PostureSmart achieved an expert validation feasibility rating of 93.0%, categorised as ‘highly feasible’. The biomechanics aspect received the highest score of 94.0%, followed by information technology at 93.0% and sports coaching at 92.0%. The TELOS analysis indicated an implementation feasibility rate of 92.4%, categorised as ‘highly feasible’, with the highest score of 95.0% in the ‘Schedule Feasibility’ category. The results indicate that PostureSmart is well-prepared from technical, economic, legal, operational and implementation perspectives. The system has the potential to serve as a technology that supports more objective, efficient and integrated posture assessment in the contexts of education and sport. Further research is required to test the system’s accuracy and effectiveness on a larger and more diverse sample.

Abstract

Ditching is one of the behaviors of a student or student who does not enter school or does not enter class hours, at the beginning of the lesson until the end of school hours. Without the knowledge of the school or from the parents, without a clear statement or permit. And is done to achieve a goal. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectivenessof the behavior contracts techniques to reduce truant behavior in vocational student. This researcher uses the design is one group pre test and post test design. Each group consisted of 5 students who were netted with high truant behavior. The instruments used were truant scale, self relf reflection sheet and observation guidelines. Data analysis techniques used in the study through the main analysis to test the research hypothesis using non-parametric statistical tests, namely Cronbach’s in each group using Wilcoxon test. The results of the research are based on the output of “ test statistics”, known asymp.sig. (2-tailed) worth 0.043. because the value of 0.043 is smaller than 0.05, with an average percentage of 66.66% in the pre test and 39.28% in the post test it can be concluded that “ Ha is accepted” shows the technique of behavior conracts can reduce truant behavior of students.

Abstract

Dyspraxia, or Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), impairs physical coordination in children, limiting their participation in daily activities and social interactions. No validated circuit-based approach targeting children with dyspraxia across four developmental domains has previously been established. This study aimed to develop and validate fundamental motor skill activities based on game circuits for children with dyspraxia. A Research and Development (RnD) approach following the Borg and Gall framework was employed, encompassing expert validation, small-group trials (n = 3; aged 5–6 years), and large-group trials (n = 7; aged 5–6 years). Content validity was assessed using the Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Content Validity Index (CVI); inter-rater reliability was assessed using the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). The Denver Developmental Screening Test II (DDST-II) was used for field assessment. CVR was 1.0, exceeding the 0.62 threshold for a three-expert panel. ICC values ranged from acceptable to good: movement skill (ICC = 0.881), cognitive skill (ICC = 0.721), fun (ICC = 0.623), and attention focus (ICC = 0.633). DDST-II outcomes showed the majority of children passed in both trial phases. The four-post circuit game approach demonstrates strong content validity and acceptable inter-rater reliability, and effectively supports fundamental motor skill development in children with dyspraxia.
