Abstract

Perkembangan globalisasi abad ke-21 menuntut dunia pendidikan untuk tidak hanya berfokus pada penguasaan pengetahuan, tetapi juga pada pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis sebagai bagian dari keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Namun, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah akibat dominasi pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru dan kurangnya variasi model pembelajaran. Selain itu, integrasi nilai-nilai Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) dalam pembelajaran IPS juga belum optimal, sehingga pembelajaran belum sepenuhnya kontekstual dan relevan dengan kehidupan nyata siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis kondisi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, mengidentifikasi model pembelajaran IPS yang efektif, serta menganalisis integrasi SDGs dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan dengan teknik analisis isi terhadap berbagai sumber literatur dari jurnal terakreditasi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inovatif seperti Problem Based Learning, Project Based Learning, dan Inquiry Learning yang diintegrasikan dengan nilai-nilai SDGs efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual, serta menumbuhkan kesadaran global dan kepedulian sosial. Dengan demikian, transformasi pembelajaran IPS berbasis SDGs menjadi langkah strategis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dasar di era global.

Abstract

The lack of innovation in the use of instructional media during the teaching and learning process has contributed to low student achievement, with learning outcomes failing to meet the established criteria. This study aims to determine the significant effect of using Wordwall-based instructional media on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at UPTD SDN Labang in the topic of Indonesia’s cultural richness. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The sample was selected through total sampling, with data collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the average post-test score in the experimental class using Wordwall media was 76.45, while the control class using PowerPoint media scored an average of 64.6. An independent samples t-test yielded a significance value (Sig. 2-Tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Wordwall platform has a significant effect on improving student learning outcomes. The implications of this study suggest that utilizing interactive media such as Wordwall can serve as a strategic alternative for enhancing learning effectiveness at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The limited research on the effectiveness of the Jarimatika method in primary school mathematics instruction serves as the background for this study, particularly regarding its potential to enhance conceptual understanding of multiplication among lower-grade students. The objective of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of the Jarimatika method in improving student learning outcomes on multiplication operations. A qualitative approach with a descriptive design was employed, involving third-grade students at SDN Gayungan II/423 Surabaya, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews with the classroom teacher, observations of student learning activities, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively. The findings indicate that the Jarimatika method has a significant impact on improving student learning outcomes, despite the continued dominance of lecture-based instruction. The study concludes that Jarimatika is an effective concrete-visual approach for facilitating students’ understanding of basic mathematical concepts, particularly multiplication. The implications include strengthening the literature on concrete-based mathematics instruction and offering practical recommendations for broader adoption of the Jarimatika method by teachers. This research also opens avenues for further exploration of Jarimatika's application to other mathematical topics and for testing its effectiveness using quantitative methods.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV SDN Bugih 1 Pamekasan dalam menentukan pesan moral cerita dongeng, yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya penggunaan metode pembelajaran inovatif serta kecenderungan siswa yang pasif terhadap teks bacaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Picture and Picture terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menentukan pesan moral. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-Experimental tipe One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 18 siswa kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis berupa pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji nonparametrik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,004 (0,004 < 0,05), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan penggunaan metode Picture and Picture terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penggunaan media gambar membantu siswa memahami alur cerita secara lebih jelas dan logis, sehingga memudahkan dalam menentukan pesan moral. Temuan ini merekomendasikan metode Picture and Picture sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The two most important things in education in Indonesia today are 'Freedom to Learn' and driving teachers. This study aims to provide an overview of the implementation of the 'Freedom to Learn' program at the elementary school level, as well as to explain the various innovations, obstacles encountered, and solutions made by the school and teachers as teaching boards. This study uses descriptive quantitative research methods, with 166 respondents from 21 districts/cities in East Java. The results of this study show that; (1) the successful implementation of the 'Freedom to Learn' program can be seen from the ability of schools and teachers to develop teaching creativity during the learning process. (2) Most of the obstacles encountered during program implementation stem from the inability of the teacher to provide learning methods that are right on target, skills that are not sufficient and the limited ability of students to accept the 'transfers of knowledge' provided by the teacher. This study concludes that schools and teachers can optimize learning innovations by using various methods adapted to the student's environment, such as; applying student center learning learning methods, exposition discovery learning methods, individual group learning methods, brainstorming methods, blended learning, and other methods that can improve students' skills and creativity, by implementing fun teaching and learning programs.
