Critical thinking ability is one of the high-level thinking skills that are problem solving skills essentially. The main purpose of this research is to describe the level of students' critical thinking skills in physics subjects at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. The population in the study were 316 students of grade 11 of SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. Samples were taken by purposive sampling so that a sample of 33 students. The instrument of this research is a test of critical thinking skills which is based on 12 indicators of critical thinking skills. Data was collected by giving a test of critical thinking skills to the sample. Data analysis in this study used descriptive, which provide an overview of the level of critical thinking skills. The results of this study provide information that the average percentage of critical thinking skills students of SMAN 8 Pekanbaru is 50.88% with a moderate level of critical thinking ability.

The purpose of this research is to describe the result of students cognitive skill or competent throughan approach of constructivism by learning of physics. The subjects of this research are student class X1, fromSMAN 1 Tambang in academic year 2006/2007. The totals of students are 41 students who are consist of 20men and 21 women. The instrument of collecting this data is about result of student’s cognitive skill.Collecting of this data is in the end of learning process with hold a cognitive skill test. Data will be analyzeby using descriptive analyze with includes are abortive powers, learning effectiveness, completeness ofstudent’s study and completeness of learns purpose. The result of data analysis shows average of student’sabortive power is 75, 5% with good’s category, learning effectiveness is 75, 9% with effective enough’scategory, completeness of student’s study classically is 81, 5% with uncompleted category and completenessof learns purpose classically is 90,9% with complete category. However, approach of constructivism appliesto dynamic electricity material that effective enough for learning of physic in SMAN 1 Tambang.Key words: approach of constructivism, result of cognitive study

This research’s goal was to develop learning tools with video using a flipped-classroom approach which is valid on the kinetic theory of gas for students in class XI MIPA SMA. This research uses a research and development method with the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation), which in this research is limited to the development phase. The research instrument used was a problem-fulfillment questionnaire filled out by students and a validation assessment sheet that was filled in by a validator. The data collection technique was based on the results of filling out a questionnaire by students at SMA N 1 Pekanbaru and from the validation analysis sheet by the validator. The data analysis technique used the percentage method and continued with data validation using descriptive analysis. This research produces learning tools in the form of lesson plans, student worksheets, and learning videos. The results of the assessment of learning tools using the flipped classroom approach obtained an average value for lesson plans with a very high category value of 4.36, video learning with a value of 4.56 in the very high category, and LKPD with a score of 4.2 very high categories. Each assessment indicator has a value greater than 3, and the validity value is declared valid. Thus, the learning device using video media using the flipped-classroom approach to the kinetic theory material of gas for students of class XI MIPA SMA is declared to be valid and suitable for use.

The purpose of this research was to find improvement the student physics learning motivation in teaching physics through applying quantum teaching by multi intelegences approach implementation by the first year students at SMA N 1 Kampar on academic year 2005/2006. Improvement learning motivation is seen 15 learning motivation indicators. The subject of the research is the student X3 class of SMA N 1 Kampar the sample taken was 37 student. Research instrument used of collecting data in this research is questioner first motivation and questioner end motivation. The student motivation data analysis by descriptive analysis and differential analysis. The descriptive analysis showed that : (1) The motivation student learning as the topic rectiliniear motion through applying quantum teaching by multi intelegences approach implementation is categorized high and (2) Improvement the student physics learning motivation through applying quantum teaching by multi intelegences approach implementation 16,2 %.

The purpose of this research was to determine the level of communication ability of student in class X SMA PGRI Pekanbaru, through the implementation of the Student Facilitator and Explaining model on the material of momentum and impulses. This research was conducted in class X IPA of SMA PGRI Pekanbaru in 2019, amounting to 29 students, where male students numbered 14 people while female students numbered 15 people. The research design uses a type of pre-experimental design in the form of one shot case study. The research instrument used observation sheets for oral communication ability and assessment sheets for worksheet (LKS) reports for written communication. The results of the research were obtained based on indicators of verbal communication ability which include expressing information and ideas, giving attention when others are talking, responding, and asking questions, students have the communication ability with high categories. Furthermore, students' written communication ability for each meeting have increased with an average of each indicator which includes the accuracy of the answers and the quality of writing is categorized very high. Thus it was concluded that the communication ability of students in oral and written form in class X SMA PGRI Pekanbaru can be trained to be better through the application of cooperative learning models of Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) types on momentum and impulse material.

The aim of this study was to gain an overview of the perception of physics subject and performance of their physic teacher. The sample of this study was 342 students of one of Junior High School in Pekanbaru. Data were collected using a questionnaire perceptions of physics subject and physic teacher performance. Both instruments were qualified with valid and reliable test of the validity of the questionnaire using the product moment correlation and reliability using alpha Cronbach. Descriptive analysis of the data showed75.8% of students have a positive and highly positive perception towards science in daily life, 83.9% of the science and technology, 85.3% of the science influence on other subjects .Only a small percentage of students who gave a negative and very negative perception of the three indicators of perception. Meanwhile, 45.53% of students stated that the performance of their physics teachers are in the category of very high, 47.95% were in the high categoryand6.51% at the low and very low categories. These results indicate that the students of junior high school in Pekanbaru have a good perception of physics subject and physics teacher performance. Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the cognitive learning outcomes of student’s physics through the application of metacognitive strategies. The research method used is Pre-Experimental by using One Shot Case Study design. This research was conducted at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru in May 2016 until June 2017 with research subject at Class XII MIA 1 consisting of 35 students. The data in this study is the results of student's cognitive learning outcomes test which are diagnostic test in the form of multiple choice reasoned amounted to 10 questions. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis that is by determining the absorption and learning difficulties of student. Based on data analysis, the result shows that the average absorption of students Class XII MIA 1 is 70,7% which is in good category. For the analysis of the student's learning difficulties, the result is that at each stage of problem solving on metacognitive strategy shows that from 34 students almost half of them have difficulty in understanding stage of problem, problem solving planning stage and interpretation stage, and only a small part having difficulties in planning stage plan. Abstract:This study aims to produce valid virtual laboratory-based studentworksheets to be used as a medium for learning Physics in grade XI SMA on the kinetictheory of gas materials. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D)with the ADDIE type of instructional media design model. In this study, threeexperienced physics education lecturers are carried out in the validation stage. Theresearch instrument is a questionnaire in the form of a checklist. The aspects assessedinclude aspects of content feasibility, presentation feasibility aspects, linguisticfeasibility aspects and graphic feasibility aspects. This study uses two types of data;quantitative data is obtained from the score of the validator's assessment questionnaireand qualitative one in the form of criticism and suggestions from the validator. The dataanalysis technique in this study is descriptive analysis, by calculating the validity valueof each component of the student worksheet assessment using the Aiken's V coefficientformula. The results show that virtual laboratory-based worksheets are declared validwith Aiken's V coefficient value of 0.823 with very high category.Key Words: Student Worksheets, Virtual Laboratory, Kinetic Gas Theory

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the relationship between perceptions of classroom climate with interesting in learning physics. The samples in this study come from the population eleventh grade of science high school Se-District of Tualang. This research technique using proportionate cluster random sampling that is used when the population consists of groups or individuals. Data collection methods used in this studying using a instrument of class perceptions of climate and interest in learning physics. The data obtained were further analyzed using pearson product moment corelation technique. Data analysis conducted shows that there is relationship between the perception of the class climate interest physics to learn. This is shown by the magnitude of the correlation coefficient (r) variable 0,75 and thitung> ttabelvariable 4,059>1,67. This results of this study stated that the hypothesis is high category, interest in learning physics variable (2,73) and perception of the class climate variable (2,82). Abstract: Learning outcomes are results that must be achieved after the learning process takes place. One aspect of learning outcomes is cognitive learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by Quizizz media on students' cognitive learning outcomes. The type of research used is experimental research with a quasi-experimental design "Nonequivalent control group design" with a "posttest only control group design" model. The population of this study were all students of class X IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Tambang for the academic year 2021/2022 with a sample of 59 students consisting of class X IPA 1 as a control class with 31 students and class X IPA 2 as a experimental class with 28 students. The data collection instrument was in the form of a cognitive learning outcome test for Newton's law class X which consisted of 10 multiple choice questions and 5 essay questions. The data analysis used was descriptive analysis through student absorption and inferential analysis through normality test, homogeneity test and Mann Whitney test with the help of SPSS version 22. The results showed that the absorption of students in the experimental class was better than the control class and there were significant differences in the results students cognitive learning between the experimental class that applies the STAD type cooperative model assisted by the quizizz media and the control class that applies the conventional learning model.Keywords: Student Learning Outcome, cognitif Student Learning Outcome, Cooperative Learning, STAD, Quizizz, Newton Law’s
