Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe students' attitudes toward the science of students of class XI Alfath SMA IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru with the implementation of learning cycle 5e model assisted concept maps on dynamic fluid materials. The research form was Pre-Experimental Design (pre-test and post-test group. The subject of this study was 20 students of class XI Alfath. A questionnaire of students' attitudes toward the science was given to the students before and after learning as the instrument in collecting the data. Data were analysed using descriptive analysis. The result of the research showed that the students 'attitude toward science was in the high category before (pre-test) and after learning (post-test). In line with that, the students' attitude toward the science was also increased by the implementation of 5e learning cycle concept map model. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of 5e learning cycle assisted concept map model can improve students' attitudes toward science in Physics learning on dynamic fluid material in SMA IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru.Keywords: Learning Cycle 5e Assisted Concept Maps Model, Student’s Attitudes toScience.

Abstract

Abstract: This research has a purpose to find out the practicality equipment of modulus rigidity and student worksheet as physic learning media for senior high school. The method that used is Research and Development (R&D) with Borg and Gall development model in test of introduction phase that usually called as practicality test. The subject are 20 student of XI Science and 3 teachers of physic in 5 Senior High School at Pekanbaru. In this research, the information analyzed descriptively with average score every aspect estimation practicality that obtained by changing inquiries. From it, the estimation of student  and teachers  can be known based Likert Scale. After that, decision of practicality test can be determined by distance of average score that very low, low, high, and very high.The result score average practicality for equipment experiment in the research  is 3,67             in category very high by teachers and 3,28 with in category high by student. And the result practicality student worksheet get it very high with average score 3,77 and 3,30 by teachers and student. Therefore, it can be concluded practicality of equipment modulus rigidity and student worksheet can defined practical as physic learning media for senior high school. Keywords: Modulus rigidity, practicality,equipment, student worksheet

Abstract

Abstract: Misconceptions cause new knowledge that students have cannot be connected with their cognitive knowledge so that the understanding of the student's concept becomes weak. This indicates that misconceptions need to be identified as early as possible. One way to identify misconceptions is to use diagnostic test instruments. The study aims to develop two-tier diagnostic tests on light subject matter. The development model used is the 4-D model namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data analysis of the test results of this test instrument in grade 1X junior high school students showed validity based on the validity of the question item with the number of 12 questions, reliability of 0.9781 with a very high category, the problem item with difficulty level amounted to 11 questions and medium difficulty level of 9 questions, with excellent differentiating power amounted to 2 points , good category differentiating power 4 points of question, differentiating power with a category of enough amounts to 8 points of question, differentiating power with poor criteria amounting to 4 points of questions and 2 points of problems with negative discrimination values. The results showed that the two-tier diagnostic test instruments developed were feasible to identify misconceptions of light subject matter.Key Words: Two-Tier Diagnostic Test, Misconceptions, Light

Abstract

Abstract: The problems faced today by both teachers and students in learning physics include: the lack of variations in the teacher's teaching methods in delivering material to students, the low motivation of students to learn physics and the lack of media used by teachers in delivering the material. From the problems above, the researchers tried to provide a solution, namely by developing contextual-based teaching materials/media using the exe learning application. Exe learning application technology can be used to design innovative and interesting physics learning media. This contextual-based learning media presents business and energy materials with animations that are more interesting and fun to learn. The form of research carried out is development research with the term Research And Development (R&D) and the model used is ADDIE. This development is guided by high school students who can already think contextually or connect the material studied with students' daily lives. So they catch the lesson faster. The validation results from the validator show that contextual-based learning media using exe learning applications on work and energy theory in class X SMA is valid (teaching materials are as expected).Key Words: Contextual, Exe learning.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine improvement the learning outcomes cognitive science of physics by using media posters. This research was conducted in SMPN 2 Kuantan Hilir Seberang precisely in maret to June 2015. The subjects were students of class  VIIIA and VIIIC totaling 64 students consisting of two class which has been in both classes homogeneity testing. Form the research is pre-experimental with design intact-group comparison. The instrument of data collection in this research is a cognitive achievement test consists of 20 multiple choice items. Analysis of the data in this research is a descriptive analysis. The results were obtained absorption class using the media posters is higher then the class without using the media poster with a good enough category, otherwise learning effectiveness declared in effective less, then completeness of learning’s students classically and completeness of lesson declared not complete, and then improvement the learning outcomes cognitive students with a low category. Nevertheless, it can be concluded application media posters can increase the learning outcomes students class VIII SMPN 2 Kuantan Hilir Seberang in the subject matter vibration and wave. Abstract

Abstract : This research is to determine the gain of students’ curiousity to learning physics at SMPN 4 in Pekanbaru by applying the model of Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs). Survey and Observation are applied to respondents consisting of 7th grade students at SMPN 4 in Pekanbaru. Data analysis is conducted by using Gain curiosity students of developed questionnaire responses that distributed to 36 students for experiment class and 34 students for control class. Observation is made by observing 2 groups of students from experiment class consisting 12 students each group. The results of this research indicate that the results of questionnaires and observations can be concluded that the implementation of models of Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs) that have been applied to the class VII SMPN 4 in Pekanbaru can improve the curiosity of the students in the learning process.Key words : conceptual understanding procedures, curiosity

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the cognitive learning outcomes of students in learning physics on the material elasticity and Hooke's law through the application of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model in class XI of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru Senior High School and to know the differences in students' cognitive learning outcomes in learning physics on elasticity and Hooke's law through the application of the Team Assisted Individualization class XI learning model at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a posttest-only design. The research subjects were class XI MIA 2 as an experimental class and class XI MIA 3 as a control class. Data collection instruments using cognitive learning test results. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed there were differences in student learning outcomes that apply the TAI learning model with conventional learning. Classroom learning outcomes with the TAI learning model is 83.03%, while the class with conventional learning is 7607%. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the TAI model can improve the learning outcomes of students of class XI MIA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru on the material elasticity and Hooke's law.Key Words: Cognitive Learning Outcomes, Elasticity and Hooke's Law, Team Assisted Individualization

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to describe the improvement of cognitive learning outcomes of Physics IPA through the implementation of cooperative learning Inside Outside Circle (IOC). This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Dalam from April to Mei 2018. Sample choice from homogeneous classes. Quasi experiments in the form of intact group comparison was used in this study. The sample of the study were the students of class VII5 as the experimental class and class VII4 as the control class. The data was obatained from cognitive learning result test which consisted of 15 items of multiple choice. Data analysis techniques used descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that the average ability of students with the application of cooperative learning model Inside Outside Circle (IOC) is higher conventional learning.It can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model Inside Outside Circle (IOC) can improve learning outcomes ofPhysics IPA in SMP Negeri 1Lubuk Dalam Siak Regencyon indication of Solar System.Keywords: Cooperative Learning,Inside Outside Circle, Cognitive Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the relationship between perceptions of classroom climate with interesting in learning physics. The samples in this study come from the population eleventh grade of science high school Se-District of Tualang. This research technique using proportionate cluster random sampling that is used when the population consists of groups or individuals. Data collection methods used in this studying using a instrument of class perceptions of climate and interest in learning physics. The data obtained were further analyzed using pearson product moment corelation technique. Data analysis conducted shows that there is relationship between the perception of the class climate interest physics to learn. This is shown by the magnitude of the correlation coefficient (r) variable 0,75 and thitung> ttabelvariable 4,059>1,67. This results of this study stated that the hypothesis is high category, interest in learning physics variable (2,73) and perception of the class climate variable (2,82). Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe students cognitive learning outcomes in light materials through the application of advance organizer learning model. This research was conucted in grade VIII SMPN 3 Tambang from March to May 2018. The subjects of this research were the students of class VIII.2 as the experimental class applying the advance organizer model and the students of class VIII.5 as the control class applying the conventional learning model. Each class consists of 27 students. This form of research is Pre-Experimental design with intact group comparison design. The instrument of data collection in this study is a cognitive larning result test consisting of 20 item of objective and given the end o treatment. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis. The result of descriptive analysis obtained the average absorption power of 70,93 % with is in good category and students learning result with conventional learning obtained the average absorption 65,37 % with is in good enough category. It can be concluded that learning using advance organizer model on light material is more effective in improving students cognive learning outcomes in light material class VIII SMPN 3 Tambang.Key word : Advance Organizer Model, Cognitive Learning Outcomes
