Abstract

Abstract

The Emergency Department is the leading health service in a hospital institution, providing initial assistance to patients based on the triage concept. A lack of understanding of the concept of triage is one of the factors that cause dissatisfaction with services in the Emergency Department. The research aims to determine the effect of health education about triage on the level of satisfaction of families who come to the Reksa Waluya Hospital Emergency Room. The research design used a quasi-experimental with a post-test only with a control group research design, which involved randomly dividing subjects into control and experimental groups. The total research sample was 50 respondents, with purposive sampling used. The instrument for this research is an educational satisfaction questionnaire sheet regarding triage. The study results showed that families' satisfaction in the ER at Reksa Waluya Hospital regarding triage in the control group was mainly quite satisfied (52%). In the experimental group, the majority were satisfied after being given health education about triage (56%). The results of the Mann-Whitney analysis obtained a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which shows that there is an influence of health education about triage on the level of satisfaction of patient families in the ER at Reksa Waluya Hospital, Mojokerto. The importance of providing health education for families and patients regarding the triage process can provide an overview and understanding, so that satisfaction with services can increase, avoid excessive complaints, and ensure that services in the emergency room will not be disrupted.

Abstract

Two-wheeled motor vehicles are a major source of urban air pollution. This study investigates the emissions of carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) from motorcycles operating within the Environmental Engineering Department of Universitas Tadulako. Emission data were collected using direct measurements with an automotive emission analyzer across various motorcycles differing in age, fuel type, and engine condition. The findings reveal that, although the average emission levels generally meet the national standards (Ministerial Regulation No. 8/2023), motorcycles using lower-grade fuel (Pertalite) emit higher concentrations of CO and HC compared to those using higher-grade fuel (Pertamax). Furthermore, both CO and HC emissions increase with the age and mileage of the vehicle. The correlation analysis indicates that older vehicles and those with higher mileage tend to release more pollutants due to reduced engine efficiency. These results underscore the importance of regular vehicle maintenance, the use of higher-quality fuels, and awareness campaigns to reduce air pollution on campus. The study supports the development of environmentally friendly transportation policies within educational institutions. ASSESSMENT OF TWO-WHEELED VEHICLE EMISSIONS IN THE VICINITY OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, UNIVERSITAS TADULAKO, INDONESIA

Abstract

There is an urgent need to enhance the professionalism of teachers, especially in Islamic boarding schools, to effectively tackle the challenges of modern education without compromising traditional Islamic values. Although teacher training evaluations have been widely conducted, gaps remain in the evaluation of the provision for new graduates before serving. The goal of this study is to assess the effectiveness of the teacher service training program at Islamic Boarding School using the Kirkpatrick evaluation model approach. This study uses a qualitative approach with an evaluation type of Kirkpatrick evaluation model that refers to two initial levels: reaction and learning. This research was conducted at the As'adiyah Sengkang Islamic Boarding School. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, documentation, and FGDs with participants, facilitators, and program managers. The evaluation results show that at the reaction level, participants gave very positive responses to the relevance of the material, teaching methods, the quality of the facilitators, and the learning environment. Meanwhile, at the learning level, there was a significant increase in participants' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies, including the ability to integrate As'adiyah values into learning practices. These findings indicate that the training program has succeeded in forming prospective teachers who are not only technically skilled but also have character. Recommendations based on the evaluation results include the need for continued development, improved technological facilities, and further evaluation at the behavioral and outcome levels to measure long-term impact.

Abstract

Waste is goods considered unused and thrown away by the previous owner/user, but under certain conditions and processing the waste can still be used. An example is organic waste, organic waste is waste that can undergo weathering or what is usually called decomposition and break down into smaller, odorless materials. This research aims to analyze the effect of feeding rate on larval nutritional quality, residue yield quality and banana peel waste reduction index using the bioconversion method. Bioconversion is a waste processing process that involves microorganisms to convert organic waste into products that have market value. This research used Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae as a bioconverter for selected organic waste, namely banana peel waste. The variables used in this study consisted of variations in the number of different feeding rates with 4 variations, namely 40, 60, 80 and 100 mg/larva/day for 15 days, where each variation was given 3 containers and each container contained 2000 BSF larvae. The research results that will be obtained are environmental conditions during the bioconversion process and the value of the waste reduction index or WRI.

Abstract

This research method uses a descriptive analysis approach with the variables used being working capital turnover and profit with the research data source being secondary data. The author uses data collection techniques, namely observation and documentation in the form of financial reports (Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss) and interviews. Based on the results of research and discussions that have been carried out, it can be concluded that working capital turnover tends to increase from November - December, increasing every period, but in the August period it decreased to minus, this shows that the company's working capital has not been effective and inadequate in increasing profit at Miby Parfum Medan. And profits decreased in September, the decrease was due to increasing expenses. The decrease was due to quite high costs incurred while net profit experienced a decline.
