Abstract

Digital transformation has become a priority for SMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), including BPRBCo (Bank Perekonomian Rakyat), to remain competitive amidst rapid technological developments. Information security is a critical aspect in this process, which requires a systematic and standardized approach. Previous research emphasizes the importance of ambidextrous (hybrid traditional and agile) information security management for large-scale banks as one of the seven key mechanisms for successful digital transformation, namely data management and information security. However, this approach has not proven effective for small-scale banks such as BPRs. This research aims to design an information security management system (ISMS) based on ISO 27001:2022, with a focus on the readiness of BPRBCo SME in facing digital transformation. This research adopts the five stages of Design Science Research (DSR), namely problem identification, requirement specification, design and development, demonstration, and evaluation. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews and document analysis, then analyzed using the ISO 27001:2022 SMKI framework. After risk analysis and mapping against previous study references, PDCA and Annex controls were found to be prioritized for BPRBCo. The results of this study developed an IMS framework specifically designed to meet the needs of SMEs, with a focus on the SME Focus Area. The DSR method enables the creation of practical solutions, based on an iterative cycle that combines theory and practice to produce optimal results. The resulting ISMS framework is then evaluated to assess the extent to which this design affects BPRBCo's readiness to obtain ISO 27001:2022 certification, as well as its impact on improving information security during the digital transformation process. This research also provides implementation recommendations by integrating three main aspects: people, process, and technology.

Abstract

Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is a strategic initiative to achieve fundamental improvements in organizational performance. However, research shows that up to 70% of BPR initiatives fail, often due to unclear value delivery and ineffective process redesign. This study aims to address that gap by redesigning the recruitment and selection process using an information economics approach evaluating the value of information to drive better decision making and resource allocation. The research applied process mapping, identification of non-value-adding activities, and value-based analysis at each stage, followed by the integration of digital tools to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy. A case study in a large organization was conducted to test the effectiveness of the redesigned model. The key findings of this study are its greatest strength and must be explicitly highlighted to convey its impact: the redesigned process resulted in a 67.3% reduction in processing time and a Return on Investment (ROI) of 1,085.17% demonstrating not only operational efficiency but also clear financial gain. These outcomes validate the role of information economics in successful BPR and offer a replicable framework for other organizations. By combining BPR with the discipline of information economics, this study offers a replicable, outcome-oriented framework that addresses one of the most common reasons BPR initiatives fail unclear value delivery. This contribution is particularly critical in HR contexts, where decisions are often qualitative and under digitized. The findings provide actionable guidance for organizations seeking to future-proof their HR processes while avoiding the pitfalls that undermine most BPR efforts.

Abstract

This research analyzes the application of Voice of Customer (VoC) in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategies in leading Indonesian digital platforms, namely Tokopedia and Gojek. In the competitive digital era, the company's ability to understand and respond to customer expectations is crucial for maintaining relevance and competitiveness. CRM, as a customer interaction management strategy, is significantly strengthened by VoC, which involves a systematic process to capture customer feedback to understand their expectations and perceptions of products, services, and brands as a whole. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive analytical methods, this study utilizes secondary data from various reliable sources. Empathy Map is used to map the customer experience based on "Think & Feel", "See & Observe", "Say & Do", and "Hear & Listen". Results show both companies commit to VoC for service development, integrating digital channels for feedback, and applying customer-centricity. Tokopedia focuses on shopping experience and product quality with structured, long-term VoC. Gojek emphasizes service timeliness and partner professionalism with direct, adaptive VoC. Consistent VoC enables proactive and predictive CRM. This research contributes to CRM literature in Indonesian digital companies.
