Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of TB patient services with the DOTS strategy at the Soko Public Health Center in Tuban Regency when viewed from a process approach. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that in terms of effectiveness in terms of the process approach there are still a number of indicators that are not appropriate and do not support the effectiveness itself, the spirit of work is still lacking, there is no reward system that stimulates the leadership to work for the creation of working groups that effective, the absence of effort from individuals and organizations in achieving goals, conflicts that occur are always resolved with reference to the interests of the organization. Some indicators that have been supportive, namely in terms of superiors' attention to employees, mutual trust and communication between leaders and employees have been said to be good, there has been decentralization in decision making as well as vertical and horizontal communication. Because there are still some indicators that do not yet support the service is not yet effective.

Abstract

The aim of the study is to present a comprehensive description of the role of staff, the factors that support the role of administration and political access and recommend an effective role of administration in supporting the activities of the commission in the Regional House of Representatives of Meranti Regency. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The focus of the study in this research is the administrative role and political access of commission staff at the Meranti Regency Regional People's Representative Council which is carried out formally and informally. The research includes the role of commission staff, factors that support the role of administration and political access and recommendations for the effectiveness of the administrative role and political access of commission B (Economy) staff in the Regional House of Representatives of Meranti Regency. Developments and environmental changes in political life have colored the attitude of relations between the legislative and executive bodies in the past towards the opinion that DPRD commission staff are only limited to being part of local government. This gave rise to a discourse that the existence of the DPRD Commission B staff at that time as staff who followed the orders of the members of the council wherever the members of the council held plenary meetings, work visits or others.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the online New Student Admission System (PPDB) at SMPN 21 Batam in Batam City and to determine the factors that support and hinder its implementation. The research approach used to examine the effectiveness of the New Student Admission System (PPDB) at SMPN 21 Batam is qualitative. Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. Admission of new students online is quite efficient, but when viewed from the effectiveness point of view, it is actually effective because there are still many people who do not understand the procedure for registering online. Based on the results of interviews conducted by researchers with several research informants, it can be seen that the community has been able to adjust to the online new student registration system. The continuation of PPDB online, it was concluded that the implementation or continuity of online PPDB at SMP Negeri 21 Batam is getting better, people are increasingly understanding.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the quality of licensing services at the Investment Office and the One Stop Integrated Service in Indragiri Hilir Regency. The results of the study are based on a quality dimension consisting of: Simplicity, the applicant states it is clear and easy to understand. Clarity of terms, quite clear with the proposed conditions. Certainty Time, is not good because it is not in accordance with the stipulated time. Accuracy which includes, has been well received because it is in accordance with applicable regulations. Security is good enough and there is legal certainty. Responsibility, that the responsiveness of employees in providing assistance to licensing applicants is good enough. Completeness of Facilities and Infrastructure, is quite good. Ease of Access, it is quite good and the location of the service is easily reached by the community. Discipline, courtesy and hospitality are good. Comfort, it's good it's just necessary to add a seat and for supporting facilities are quite satisfied because the provision of supporting facilities such as smoking rooms, toilets etc., for the cleanliness of the office is also quite good.

Abstract

Effective maintenance of a university campus building is crucial to ensure the safety and well-being of its academic community. However, maintaining the building and its various equipment and assets can take time and effort. This study aims to optimize building maintenance by implementing Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and using an Excel-based application system to detect points of damage. The study analyzes the maintenance process's cost, duration, and damage reports using dashboard features such as Gantt chart diagrams. By comparing the Excel-based application system with the conventional system, we found that the former is more effective and efficient. The results show that the application system saves 12 hours of recapitulation time per week, increases labor productivity by 32.2%, and speeds up damage reparation by 5%.

Abstract

This research aims to improve energy sustainability in transportation management. The case was derived from port-to-port coal transportation problem commonly faced by third-party logistic (3PL) company. During planning, they must determine which shipsets to be used and assign them to the loading/unloading berths. Each berth varies in terms of its loading/unloading speed and each shipset varies in terms of its capacity, sail speed, and fuel consumption rate. The selection of shipset impacts the auxiliary and main engine fuel consumption while the selection of berth impacts only the auxiliary engine fuel consumption. The target is to minimize the total fuel consumed by both engines for the whole shipset. We modelled the case through Multiple Vehicle Allocation Problem (MVAP) framework and proposed a heuristic algorithm to find the solutions. The heuristic algorithm is proven to be able to reach an optimal solution for small cases and near-optimal for medium to large cases.

Abstract

This study aims to determine Muzakki's level of understanding and awareness in paying zakat. find out the potential of zakat in the Pelita Bangsa academic community, because based on the author's field observations, the author suspects that the Pelita Bangsa academic community consists of lecturers, employees, and students who earn quite a lot. In this study, using the type of field research (field research) with a quantitative approach through distributing questionnaires and questionnaires that have been distributed directly to respondents. Research on the level of understanding and awareness of muzakki in paying zakat. The population used in this study is the academic community consisting of lecturers, students, and employees, who play a role in the implementation of zakat in Pelita Bangsa University. The population that will be the object of research is 100 respondents. Based on the results of research data analysis and calculations that have been carried out by researchers, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the level of understanding on muzakki paying zakat. With a coefficient value of 0.727 when compared with the value of rtable at a significant level of 5% of 0.197 then rcount > rtable (0.727> 0.197) so that the coefficient value is significant, there is also a significant influence between the level of awareness of muzakki paying zakat. With a coefficient value of 0.657 when compared with the value of rtable at a significant level of 5% of 0.197, then rcount > rtable (0.657> 0.197) so that the coefficient value is significant, and the results of the analysis conducted by researchers obtained a value of fcount of 54.952. When compared with the value of the fable with a significance level of 5% of 3.09. Then fcount > ftable (54,952> 3.09) so that this value can be said to be significant. This means that the level of understanding and awareness simultaneously influences muzakki to pay zakat.

Abstract

Ensuring fairness in the utilization of government-funded public facilities, such as co-working spaces, sports fields, and meeting rooms, is imperative to accommodate all citizens. However, meeting these requirements poses a significant challenge due to the high costs associated with maintaining digital infrastructure, employee wages, and cybersecurity expenses. Fortunately, Blockchain smart contracts present an economical and secure solution for managing digital infrastructure. They offer a pay-per-transaction schema, immutable transaction records, and role-based data updates. Despite these advantages, public blockchains raise concerns about data privacy since records are publicly readable. To address this issue, this study proposes a privacy-preserving mechanism for public facilities' reservation systems. The approach involves encrypting the reservation table with fully-homomorphic encryption (FHE). By employing FHE with binary masking and polynomial evaluation, the reservation table can be updated without decrypting the data. Consequently, citizens can discreetly book facilities without revealing their identities and eliminating the risk of overlapping schedules. The proposed system allows anyone to verify reservations without disclosing requested data and table contents. Moreover, the system operates autonomously without the need for human administration, ensuring enhanced user privacy.

Abstract

Pengaruh aliran aksial terhadap aliran Taylor Vortex Turbulent dengan perpindahan kalor  dengan teliti dengan menggunakan metode numerik. Parameter geometri pada penilitian dengan radius ratio 0, 714 dan aspect ratio 10 dengan bilangan Reynold melingkar  antara 2596 sampai dengan 9087, kemudian  Aliran aksial  dengan temperatur pada silinder dalam (Ti) yaitu sebesar 50 °C  dan temperatur silinder luar (To) adalah 90 °C . Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Aliran turbulen dalam aliran Taylor-Couette dengan aliran aksial dicirikan oleh struktur vortex yang kompleks dan tidak beraturan. Koefisien perpindahan kalor  pada kondisi konveksi di sekitar silinder dalam lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kondisi sedangkan untuk silinder luar kondisi diam dengan no slip condition. Peningkatan torsi akibat putaran silinder dalam aliran dipengaruhi oleh sel-sel vortex dalam aliran turbulen, yang juga menyebabkan kenaikan torsi gesekan.

Abstract

The marketing public relations (MPR) strategy is an integration of marketing and public relations strategies that can create a more holistic approach to building relationships with consumers and society. MPR is very important in a company, especially Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) company in maintaining its business continuity, because BUMN companies act as agents of value creators and agents of development, which means agents of development and drivers of economic growth in Indonesia (Thohir, 2023). The research in this study discusses the public relations markerting strategy of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional II Panjang in increasing competitiveness. The purpose of this research is to find out how the MPR strategy implemented by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional II Panjang and the role of MPR in increasing competitiveness. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological study method, collecting data from this research through interviews, observation, and documentation. This research is based on the theory of Three Way Strategies in public relations programs (Harris, 1998) and the theory of P.E.N.C.I.L.S Strategy in marketing public relations (Kotler and Keller, 2006: p.553). The results of this study state that the marketing public relations strategy of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional II Panjang in increasing competitiveness has been carried out systematically and is a routine agenda so that the strategy becomes efficient in increasing the competitiveness of the company. Therefore, until now PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional II Panjang still dominates competition in the port industry and always provides positive performance.
