Abstract

Indonesia, which is a tropical country, has a very large potential for solar energy because of its area that stretches across the equator, with a radiation magnitude of 4.80 kWh / m2 / day or equivalent to 112,000 GWp. On the other hand, the earth receives solar power of 1.74 x 1017 W / hour and about 1-2% of it is converted into wind energy. However, from the total energy potential, Indonesia has only utilized around 10 MWp for solar energy and not much different, wind energy, whose utilization is planned to reach 250 MW in 2025, has only been utilized around 1 MW of the total existing potential. With this potential, to be able to supply additional power and help save energy for existing facilities in the building, a Prototype of Solar Panel Hybird and Vertical Axis Wind Turbine was created. The design of this prototype is a combination of savonious type turbines and solar panels, where the use of this type of turbine is because it can rotate at low wind speeds (low wind velocity) and its construction is very simple.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country, because its area that crosses the equator has enormous solar potential, with a radiation magnitude of 4.80 kWh / m2 / day / day or equivalent to 112,000 GWp. Meanwhile, the solar energy received by the earth is 1.74 x 1017 W / hour, of which about 1-2% is converted into wind energy. However, in terms of total energy potential, Indonesia only uses around 10 MWp of solar energy, the difference is that wind energy which is planned to reach 250 MW in 2025 only uses 1 MW of the total potential. Skyscrapers are places with enormous wind energy potential. Because if the height exceeds 150 m, the reference point of the building can be called a skyscraper, which will cause high wind speed at the top of the building. This phenomenon is caused by the influence of the friction force which suppresses the wind speed, therefore the higher the position, the higher the wind speed. With this potential, to provide additional power and help save energy in existing facilities in the building, a smart photovoltaic and vertical turbine prototype design was created. The prototype design is a combination of weathered turbines and solar panels, the reason for using this type of turbine is because it can rotate at low wind speed (low wind speed) and has a very simple structure. In addition, because it uses a vertical shaft, the generator and gearbox can be placed close to the ground, making maintenance easier. The working principle of this prototype is designed to use a turbine to convert wind energy on the roof of the building into electrical energy, then mix it with electrical energy converted from solar energy by solar panels, so that electrical energy will be more optimal.

Abstract

In 2019 Indonesia is able to support its nation and does not need rice imports from abroad. This situation is called rice self-sufficiency. Then in order to maintain rice self-sufficiency from year to year, it is necessary to apply technology to increase the quality of rice production. Therefore, a Hydroganic Monitoring System Design was created which is used to monitor plant watering automatically using the YL-69 soil moisture sensor controlled by Arduino Uno and instructed to the LCD to display the soil moisture value according to soil pH in real time. The watering system that has been created can automatically drain water to the plants. The water that is flowed automatically by this system comes from the fish pond that is right below it, where the water from fish excrement will produce organic nutrients for rice plants. With this research, rice production will grow more effectively to improve rice quality. With this research, it is expected that Indonesian rice production will increase effectively and in line with the improvement of rice quality. From the research that has been conducted, it is found that from the experimental data above, it can be calculated that the average water discharge in one irrigation is 2.37 m/s.

Abstract

The quick launch weapon system is unique. This rocket launcher has a high launch rate, but the rocket launched is one stage lower than the launcher normally launched by ships of this size. For example, a (medium) cruiser would use a fast light rocket launcher to launch a light (small) rocket. Currently rocket launchers are still controlled by humans, using PCs and servo motors as control tools to determine the accuracy of the shooting angle, so complete components are needed when designing the robot so that the robot can work automatically as needed. For the input given, Automatically control the rocket launcher robot and communicate via PC, then use a USB TTL cable to forward commands to the microcontroller, then send it to the Xbee-pro transmitter circuit, then send and receive by the Xbee-pro receiver, and then send the Microcontroller for transmitter control sent to servo and rocket motors in the transmitter control system in the form of a relay. Based on the test results, the robot can guide the rocket launcher at a predetermined angle, and can launch manual rockets, multiple rockets, triple rockets and all rockets, with a success rate of up to 80%.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy in Indonesia continues to increase every year. In line with the increase in the electrification ratio to 100% in 2050, the demand for electrical energy is projected to reach 7 times, namely 1,611 TWh. To meet electricity needs, the government has created a 35 GW program, but one of the largest contributors to power generation fuel is coal with a share of 58% or around 50 GW which is estimated to be exhausted within the next 68 years. For this reason, innovations are needed in terms of fulfilling electrical energy by utilizing renewable energy potential, one of which is hydro energy, which is 45,379 MW from a total resource of 75,091 MW. Therefore, from this potential, innovations related to renewable energy have been created, namely the Hybrid Portable Underwater Turbine Hydro and Solar Energy hybrid power plant. This power plant uses an undersea current as a propulsion which is hybridized with solar power to increase the production of electrical energy. This power plant has the advantage that there is an Underwater turbine design that is resistant to underwater flow and a water flow direction to increase the work efficiency of the underwater turbine. From the test results, the portable Underwater turbine hydro produces 950 W in a day. Solar panels produce 65.6 Watts a day. The total hybrid that can be produced is 1.02 kW a day. In its implementation it can supply loads of up to 900 (VA) such as lamps, fans, TV, etc. This hybrid power plant can be a solution to help meet electricity needs in the area around Dusun Dongol, Sidoarjo through alternative electrical energy innovations.

Abstract

The maritime sector is one of the paths to Golden Indonesia 2045. This is because 70% of Indonesia's territory is a sea with an area of 3.25 million km2 and is supported by the large potential that can be utilized for the welfare of Indonesia, one of which is as a contributor to foreign exchange with foreign exchange potential from maritime sector amounting to US $28 million to US $56 million. The problem lingers on how to possible solve the problem regarding air pollution without shutting down industrial operations. Many multinational power plants have launched different campaigns in order to minimize the problem like planting trees and the like. But these small growing industries like grilling restaurants have given way to arising problem of air pollution issues On the other hand, the ocean is a contributor to half of the world's oxygen. But in a period of 50 years, areas with minimal oxygen levels in the oceans have increased. The main cause is global warming, one of which comes from increasing levels of carbon monoxide in the air. One of these gases comes from incomplete combustion in motorized vehicles. This is also exacerbated by the growth of motorized vehicles which has increased by 11.5% per year. If left like this, marine life will be destroyed and Indonesia will not reach its peak of glory in 2045. So to overcome this problem, a prototype design of Carbon Monoxide Box Separator was created. This prototype is a combination of detector sensors consisting of MQ7 to detect carbon monoxide, MQ135 to measure air quality, and DHT11 to measure humidity and air temperature, as well as a high voltage system on the L-Box (Lightning Box) which can produce O2 because of the copper plate. on the L-Box will bind the element carbon to carbon monoxide using a voltage of 400 kV. With this prototype design, it is hoped that Indonesia can achieve its glory and also as a form of QS practice. Ar-Rum verse 41 regarding Allah's command to preserve nature and the environment.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Energy is an important element in the continuity of human activities. Indonesia has the potential to produce 94.5 GW of electricity in the hydropower sector, but only a few can be utilized, which is only 11%. This study aims to utilize renewable energy that has not been utilized optimally, especially in Indonesia. This study exploits the potential of water flow from the Coban Wonoasri River, Bangun Village, Munjungan District, Trenggalek Regency which has a low head but has a fairly heavy discharge. The basin cone for making vortex flow has a canal length of 1450 mm, a canal width of 231.5 mm, and a canal height of 500 mm with a basin cone diameter of 560 mm, a basin cone height of 700 mm, and a water outlet diameter of 90 mm. A vortex turbine with a diameter of 270 mm and a height of 210 mm with a total of 8 blades, a blade curvature of 30°, and a blade tilt of 22.5° was used for research on this low head river. The inlet notch variations that will be used are angles of 0°, 17.82°, 19.30°, and 19.98°. The method used in this study is the experimental method, where the best results are obtained from the results of tests carried out on variations in the inlet notch. The inlet notch with a width of 0° and a discharge of 8.81 l/s cannot produce turbine rotation because the vortex flow is not formed properly. Inlet notch with a width of 17.82° and 19.30° produces an average turbine speed of 157.2 rpm and 159.2 rpm. The variation of the inlet notch with a width of 19.98° produces the best turbine speed of 162.7 rpm with a flow rate of 7.72 l/s.
